He cried holding his arm in firm .

A- speak like a doctor you damn ...

She gritted her teeth and scowled at him like anything . Situation seemed very serious , she was worried , tensed .

Om- go get your first aid done . We'll take care of this .

' no , you don't understand '

R - you might loose your arm if you keep lecturing us here .

The doctor watched him in horror for once and shook his head continuously while making his way to get treated with the support of a nurse .

A- I'll go get him.

Om - hey wait!

He caught her hand immediately before she could vanish from there .

A- what !

Om - we don't know what's awaiting . And I can't let you take this risk . I'll go , wait here .

R- he's right , we both can

A- Rudra please , you can't even walk properly now . Are you serious ?

R- I can try .

Om - trust us .

A- it's not that , you guys can't just lift him up and bring him back. His condition is not good , holter monitor , pupil dilation all that should be checked . We might need to carry the monitors too .

R - we, we can do that . Check that hi Hitler monitor and purple dilution , anything else ? Pulse ...?

Annika breathed out a defeated sigh while Om cringed watching Rudra's face who still remained clear , without realizing what he just said .

Om - I think you should come .

A- good .

At once both ran to take the stairs , here Rudra was like really confused .

R- what , wait for me !

Om - it's jammed damn it !!

He punched the latch for the nth time and roared in frustration. Annika who stood beside him kept her sight affixed inside the room where shivaay was lying unconscious. She gulped wetting her lips now and then while Om tried again and again .

R- let's break it .

Suddenly they heard a thudding nose from inside ,seemed like the washroom door was being compromised.

A- he's breaking it , breaking it , breaking it .

Murmuring this throughout, she immediately ran to the other corner of the corridor .

Om- god !

Om on the other side rushed to break out the hammer from the emergency kit . And before he could work it out on the latch he found annika smashing it with a fire extinguisher .

Rudra started uttering words in fear as he watched the happenings inside .

R- oh my God oh my god , looks like he's almost there...god save us please. Goodness god goodness god ...

A/Om - shut up !

Annika inhaled quick and put her entire strength on it , to make one mighty bang and it cracked this time .

She kicked the door and entered in for Imraan didn't delay too , spontaneous they both were . All the three froze for a second watching his strange figure . Rudra almost forgot to breathe. The beep sound from the machine was the only noise heard . Imraan there stood opposite to them and stared like evil before jumping ahead to get them.

Om - we can hold him , annika get shivaay .

Om screamed holding the hammer tight while annika nodded immediately.

A- don't let him hurt you.

Late though , Om just bore a hard kick from him and fell down .

R- senior !

Imraan's focus fell on Rudra then , he was going after him but before he could do any harm Om crawled on the floor quick to smash his leg with the hammer . Imraan hollered and fell down .

Annika pulled his lower lid back slowly and flashed the torch on against his eyes . She then checked the rate , pulse to confirm certain things .

Om stood up before Imraan could make it and he immediately went towards shivaay .

Om- annika , fast!

A- I am ...Om!

She squealed seeing Imraan standing right behind him , he seemed like an animal , fiercely hunting down his preys. With his mouth up wide open he was so desperate .

Om jumped aside the right second when he aimed for him , and on the reflex Imraan landed up on shivaay who lied on the bed as Om was standing right next to him before .

R- no !!!

If given ears properly, noise of deep breaths would've been heard.

She didn't make a blink, and stood rooted in the same position with her hand having Imraan's hair grabbed harshly . His face was still in air and not on shivaay yet . She didn't let his hands reach out shivaay too , and kept pulling him back . Om and Rudra took a breath of relief only after seeing that .

Annika felt goosebumps as she noticed some movement in shivaay just then, he crushed his eyes slowly before trying to open them .

He was soon bewildered on seeing the sight infront. Imraan's face, he didn't seem in a good condition though . Blood everywhere on his face , he seemed vulnerable. Shivaay once again closed , crushed his eyes and then opened them to follow and see the owner of the hand who had grabbed Imraan .

Her upside down face is what fell on his sight as she was standing behind him. Not even her hair moved , she was just staring at him with her breath held . A small tear escaped her eyes when she saw him looking at her , and she didn't try to wipe it off but just gave more strength to her arm for pulling Imraan back .

Om and Rudra made very light steps towards Imraan from behind , so as to not distract him from the moment . Annika was sweating like hell now , his oily hair was falling out of her grip and she didn't know what to do next .

Imraan once again tried to jump on shivaay who was the only moving thing against his eyes for Om and Rudra had already caught him from behind at the right second.

She exhaled and wiped her face immediately. Shivaay kept staring at all this in confusion.

When Om couldn't control Imraan who was acting all terrible ,Rudra grabbed the hammer and hit him right on his jaws .

Broke, it seemed obvious. He fell back in a corner . Om was breathing fast as hell , even a second late , he would've got him.

Om- great .

R - thanks .

A- he's ready to leave.

She collected all the needed stuffs and put them on the bed while announcing this .

R- welcome back senior !

S- wha...

He jerked back when she pushed the bed from behind while Om dragged it from the front position .

Sensing the commotion here , Imraan got intrigued. He stood up and started following them in no time .

Rudra who was hopping ,to be certain ,felt someone behind and turned just to get the biggest shock of his life .

R - he's coming , he's back , he's here . I'm gonna die , I'm gonna die

He kept ranting the same words again and again while trying to make fast hops . But it didn't help , he was just slow.

Annika stopped , dropped her hold on the bed and ran back to Rudra . Om turned back after feeling the drag being more heavy and hard from his side .

R - I'm gonna die , angel I'm gonna

A- stop talking or I'll kill you myself!

She sweared and grabbed his arm to have it around her shoulder . Imraan was pacing up , she just caught hold of his hip and lifted him up slightly so that it gives a little ease for him to walk. With his injured leg held high above the ground , Rudra somehow made it quick with the help of annika beside.

Once they had reached near the bed which Om kept pulling , annika pushed Rudy on it .

S- ahh !

Shivaay who wasn't completely conscious yet , cringed in pain on feeling something hit his body .

R- sorry sorry, but I can.

A- you can't , just stay there !!

She shouted to make it very clear and started pushing the bed from behind.

A- quick Om .

Watching Imran chasing them annika gave whole of force to her hands and pushed it forward , the bed strolled ahead in pace . She didn't realize but she had tears already as her back ached like worse now , certainly when she was giving more pressure to carry a much of weight. It felt as if she was in round one of pain again .

Here Rudra couldn't hold himself as the travel seemed damaging, he shook and jolted front and back like anything while being dragged . At one point he just hugged shivaay tight to save himself from falling down . Shivaay almost cringed and pushed him away on feeling this .

R- code red senior , please . Orelse I'll fall down and commissioner will savour me for his dinner.

Shivaay's reactions changed when he heard Rudra say this , he then slowly raised his head to have a look behind. Imraan seemed hell triggered , he thought for a few seconds and looked at the other side towards the lift .

S- stop !

When they were just making it into the lift , he shouted suddenly.

Om - shivaay are you mad ?

S- stop right now !

A- Om don't, he's gone insane. Go in .

She added and continued pushing.

S- Om I know what I'm doing , stop !

He shouted to announce this and Om listened this time .

A- Om what are you doing?

Annika didn't agree and tried to push, but she couldn't do it alone .

A- Om he's coming, Om !!

She screamed on seeing Imraan approaching them . Rudra was almost hiding in shivaay now , he knew nothing , catching hold of shivaay tightly he almost burried his face under Shivaay's chin . Watching everything, Om shook his head and griped the handle once again but Shivaay signalled him to wait .

A- are you out of your mind shivaay !

S- now !!

At once Om pulled the bed for even annika who had it held from behind was being actually dragged along .Loosing them by an inch away , Imraan ended up inside the elevator before which they had parked a second ago . Om immediately pressed the button for the doors closed , a bang was heard from within.

S- shut down .

Om went to the main box and pulled the power lever down . Witnessing all this , annika slowly turned to look at shivaay who was already staring at nothing but her .

Still having only her in sight, he gave one nice smack on Rudra's head who was totally stuck on him.

R- are we , are we okay ?

He asked with a scared reaction on his face which was raised up agaisnt Shivaay's , as if he was ready to kiss him .

Om- you both look like a couple.

Om commented with a light laugh for shivaay jolted back and pushed Rudra off the next second .

' All the patients from that block are being shifted as you mentioned sir '

Om - ok , make it very quick . None should be there when the defense squad comes. Ask them to be well equipped, sedatives , mandatory. Traps , every kind would do . Ask them to be very careful , vests are must , covered completely from head to toe .

' ok sir, which floor did you say ?'

Om - 6th , the elevator must have stopped in between 5th and 6th floor . Listen ,he seems very impulsive and fast , inform them everything clearly.

S- so what you're saying is ...an infection, like it spreads ?

R- yep, you saw our commissioner right ? Why would he become something like that all of a sudden ? You should've seen the doctor , his hand was twisted like ...

S- on the other side , Veer and Tej are missing ?

R- exactly

Shivaay laid his head back on the pillow with a thud leaving a huge sigh out of his mouth .

S- wish I was unconscious still.

R - don't you ever think of it , you know how scared we were ? You were never like

Rudra stopped speaking when he saw shivaay distracted somewhere else, he was found looking at her .

Annika who was settled on the other bed , remained engaged in doing some arm stretches and pulls . She had already taken the second dose for pain but it seemed to have not done any better work . Her back stinged like anything and she couldn't just tolerate it at all . But she kept distracting herself by doing some moves orelse she would never help herself move and be tied to the pain , she told herself.

R- she would stand outside your ward all day

Shivaay brought himself back and looked at Rudra when he mentioned this . He was intimidated.

R- and night .

S- you're serious?

R - as serious as you were inside that ICU for the past two days .

Shivaay passed a faint smile shaking his head .

S- I won't believe that , she can't think of anyone else but her .

R- you're wrong .

Shivaay once again turned his head the other side to capture her , she was busy doing her stuffs , backfacing him. And suddenly she turned back when he was leastly expecting for shivaay immediately looked away.

Only then he found out that she was actually staring at the doorway through which the doctor just came in . Seemed like he had his arm patched up right . He still had that terror on his face . Om finished instructing the cops and went to meet him.

Om - how are you doctor?

He didn't even speak but just gave a nod and started checking shivaay .

A- everything's ok , we can slip the dosage down . He can move his limbs , no internal contractions, pressures ,heart function is normal.

'Hmm , hmm ...I'm sorry I left you behind . Glad you came back , you know , awake . '

Shivaay didn't reply to that ,he remained quite while annika kept tapping her legs anxiously against the floor . She wanted to tell something but didn't know how to start .

' ok , I guess you're ok now . Will come and take a look tomorrow and we'll do some tests too '

Saying this he was about to leave but annika stopped him soon .

A- uhh...doctor , I think you should stay here , in observation for tonight.

' no ! '

Om- she's right doctor, we saw what we saw and you're

' I'm telling you right ! No . I'm ok ...nothing's wrong with me see , I'm still talking to you guys '

He reacted very nervously , indeed after seeing things he was scared as hell .

A- yeah but you know the protocols, it's advisable that you

' don't talk to me like you know everything, I would become mad if I stay here , I am a doctor and I know what's best for me '

Om - doctor think practically, we don't want this to follow . You realize the situation right ?

' come on , I saw the symptoms with my own eyes , and I know how healthy I am for all that to happen to me . I'm totally fine and I don't want to discuss more about this.'

Making his point straight, he walked out of the room holding his injured arm with the other, carefully .

Annika didn't seem convinced at all .

A- we can't be careless again .

S- send 4 armed people in mufti to his house, he should be surrounded everytime.

Om passed a quick nod and went outside to make a call while annika moved back to her bed .

Lying down like this for days has made him just lazy and his legs have already became numb . He opened his eyes slowly and found the clock ticking 2.40 am , Om and Rudra were asleep . The atmosphere was so quiet and calm .

Shivaay slowly gained some force and pressed his other elbow on the bed to raise up . He frowned seeing her bed empty.

He them looked around the room to finally spot her near the window .

She was standing there , staring outside . It was too dark for she couldn't actually even see anything in particular but she was just there , rooted to that place .

A slow blink is what she made when she felt someone's touch on her back , just above her spine. He caressed the spot softly and brought himself to stand beside her , both didn't look at each other rather just stared ahead.

S- you're scream is the last thing I remember, how are you ?

She gave a slow nod .

A- I shouldn't have brought you all into this , don't know how far it's gonna take us . We barely escaped the last time.

S- who said we're doing all this for your sake ? Duty it is .

A- I know . I just hope all this ends soon , I'm really tired .

S- why stand here like a ghost then ? Go sleep.

He pulled his hand back and gripped the glucose holder . He was just about to turn and leave but she suddenly pressed her hand against his's which was holding the bar , he stopped and looked at her .

Annika was smooching his lips in no time , very sudden it was . He handled the thing he had in grip with much pressure and so did she , crushed his knuckles within her palm . He tried to knock off but she just grabbed his hair and pulled him against her more , cupping his jaw with her other hand , she was forceful in accessing him.

Holding his face protectively she kissed him , everywhere. Forehead , temple, nose cheeks , chin , neck and once again sucked his lips .

Shivaay who stood idle all this time , couldn't hold back any further . How much ever he tried moving back , she didn't let him . And at one point, even he broke and reached out for her but she immediately pushed him away and walked out .

He stood there , leaning back on the wall , eyes capturing her retreating figure . A faint smile escaped his lips.

S- used and thrown.

Next morning

Om - goodnews shivaay , the squad has taken the commissioner into custody. A big quarrel happened but thankfully none harmed .

Shivaay just nodded .

R- wow ! Finally something nice to hear !!

S- shh ,don't shout .

He alarmed him to be keep numb and then watched annika who was asleep .

R- got it .

S- what about the doctor Om, Anything?

Om- luckily no , I guess he is ok . Didn't receive any calls from the team yet . Let me check once.

He dialled for his crew .

Om - hello yeah, how is....what!

Here annika woke up suddenly on hearing his high pitched tone . She rubbed her eyes slowly and opened them to see the three boys ahead , seated on the next bed .

S- Om ?

Om - okay I'll be there soon ...Shivaay ,the doctor is dead . Heart attack .

Rudra held his head with both the hands and straightaway burried his face inside the pillow while the others stared at each other in shock .

R- not a day in peace .

He mumbled staying in that same position .

A- time of death ?

Om - 4 am , not accurate .

A- we should go see him .

The house was filled with people , relatives friends , so many people. Everyone crying their hearts out for the man they knew . Rolled within a pile of white sheets , his face alone was visible out of that ice box . Seated beside it was his wife , without shedding a tear , she just sat there and stared at his face for hours .

Annika couldn't stand there after witnessing all that , she took in a few gulps and signalled them to come out after her .

S- you think this has something to do with the infection ?

A- we have to wait for the autopsy report to clarify this , maybe yes , maybe no .

R - the only positive point here is , it can't spread anymore. We have commissioner in custody and the doctor has...I mean ...so

Without completing the sentence , he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded.

Om - what the hell were you all doing , why wasn't I informed at the first place ?

' no sir , actually he was brought here dead only in the morning . Didn't die here , we didn't know where he.'

S - means he wasn't at home all night ?

' yeah , we already interrogated his driver '

R- and ?

' he was at the lotus garden last night '

A- you're sure ?

' yes '

Annika's face grew horrified on hearing this detail and everyone noticed it clearly.

Om - what is it?

She took a deep gulp in before muttering slowly .

A- lotus garden, the brand area for prostitution.

Annika cringed when he questioned without even making an effort to understand things . She sat down on the stairs holding her head , tensed , scared she seemed .
