She took a few seconds to pass a nod when the owner questioned casually.

A- no actually it's for my friend.

She collected the candy from him and turned just to bump with shivaay who stood behind .

A- hi

S- even most of the girls in my class puked this morning at anatomy class.

He commented with a smile noticing the lollypop she carried while annika shook her head immediately.

A- it's for Anish.

Saying this she went inside the canteen to find a table for herself , shivaay followed her back and settled alongside annika .

S- why do you buy candies for him ?

She who was busy completing the first experiment in her record stopped writing for a second and showed him one sheepish smile.

A- possessive?

S- no . Just curious.

He shrugged his shoulders and sighed .

A- he's my partner in lab , and he already puked on me twice this morning. It's unbearable.

Shivaay started laughing out aloud as she explained , annika hardly cared and continued writing.

A- don't rejoice , I had my coat on thankfully.

S- what about changing your name to Shivaani , Shivanya ... Shefali ? You can be in my class , I won't puke I promise .

A- can you do that instead , Anurag , Anand ?

He rolled his eyes when she replied pointing the pen at him. That's when he quickly noticed something and pulled her right hand .

S- god you've got a temperature even , why !

A- it's a small studio near my home , 50 % discount for first 50 customers. I just wanted to try , how is it ?

Raising her hand up against his eyes she popped her brows showing him her wrist which had the letter S tattooed exactly in the center.

S- cheesy , filmy ...cringy .

A- I know , I like it though . My hand looks nice doesn't it ?

S- what about the fever ?

A- took the meds already .

He remained quiet for sometime ,rubbing his thumb over that letter on her wrist softly .

S- why suddenly ?

A- not sure ,but I like the fact that it's permanent. Once and for all .

There was a pretty hint of a grin on shivaay's face when she said this . She raised her brows to question through her eyes .

S- why don't you just admit you've madly fallen for me ?

A- atleast I expressed that I like you . Not like someone who brutally failed to even acknowledge it , yet .

Annika stopped in between and then emphasized the last word , he just got quiet , looked down and smiled to himself. Soon the bell rang , she stood up and collected her things from the table .

A- shivaani, shivanya , shefali ...surrounded by girls on all sides haan ? Be careful .

He chuckled shaking his head when she walked past him after clearly warning him.

S- hey annika .

She stopped hearing him and turned back while he jogged towards her .

A- hmm ?

S- want me to get an A done or something?

A- don't .

S- thank god , I was worried you'd say yes . I can't bear the pain .

A- bye then .

Before leaving she shook hands with him casually but he wouldn't just let go of it , she insisted him to grip off but he didn't.

A- shivaay I'm getting late .

He didn't care to listen as he was busy checking around on all sides. She frowned on seeing him do that .

A- wha

Before she could say anything he quickly kissed her wrist and winked at her . She just froze for a few seconds.

S- bye .

Waving his hand at her ,shivaay immediately rushed back to reach his class while she stood there gazing at her own wrist keenly . There was this serene smile she carried on her face that moment and he who witnessed it from afar just grinned showing all of his teeth .

Om patted his face on noticing some movement from him .

Om- shivaay ! Shivaay !

He slowly opened his eyes just to feel extreme pain in his arm soon . Catching hold of his arm, he got up and sat .

Shivaay crushed his eyes and cringed in pain on realizing it's already been many years since that good day happened . Well, many good days like that have already gone and he could only think of them in his dream like now , this truth struck him and made him mad .

Om - Rudra

Om's shout brought him back , he looked around to find a terribly injured Rudra . They were all caged inside a cell , Shivaay's heart almost skipped a beat on realizing the current circumstances as he just remembered where they actually were . He scooted close to Rudra and tore his pant upto the knee , there was a pool of blood covering the floor .

S- shit !

Om - Rudra , rudra stay with us !

Om kept beating his shoulders continuously , shivaay looked around and soon his eyes bulged out in thrill.

S- where's annika?

Om gulped deeply without saying anything and shivaay lost his cool .

S- Om !!

Om - he has taken her to that room .

Shivaay grew horrified on hearing this , he barely stood up and started banging the door. Om shook his head in defeat and almost teared up as the situation was totally out of their hands .

S- Annika ...!

His legs failed him soon , he fell down and cried holding his hand which bled worse .

Vrushali kept shivering as she extracted the bullet from his arm , Tej groaned aloud .

T- thanks ...I'll make sure to ...save your granny .

She didn't choose to speak anything and just dressed the wound in hurry . Sharon who stood in the corner of that room was crying hysterically. Things she did today were worst and she felt so terrible about being herself . Tej who noticed this from the other side, put on his shirt back and marched towards her . She quickly wiped her tears and straightened herself on finding him close.

T- you better overcome this phase soon , it's tough but it's mandatory .

She just didn't take her eyes up to even look at him rather kept staring at the floor while he warned .

T- bring me the stuffs for an explant procedure.

Sh- Dr ?

Sharon was baffled on hearing it , she looked at Vrushali with the same reaction .

T- now !

Sharon rushed out from there having that confused face throughout.

V - Doctor but

T- we're doing this now Dr.Vrushali , get that in your head and start working.

Vrushali made a deep gulp in fear and put on her scrubs reluctantly. Here Tej walked near the bed where annika was lying and slowly caressed her hair , whispering something.

T - sorry child.

She dropped the things once again , her hands just wouldn't stop shivering. Taking fast breaths she bent down to gather the scattered materials . Shivaay was able to see her from afar . He banged the door and started shouting .

S- hey !! Sharon ! Sharon .

Om - sharon ! Sharon , hey !!!

She did hear them but pretended to behave idle .

Here Om tore his shirt and tied it around Rudra's leg to stop the bleeding.

S- sharon !

R- Ahhh!!!

His scream was so painful that she couldn't stop herself from looking directly at them . Rudra cried so much while Om tightened the knot , sharon gulped down and wiped her tears before running to them carrying all the stuffs in her hand .

She kneeled down in front on them and shrinked her eyes to something small.

S- where's annika , how is she ? Sharon ,say something damn it !

Her uneven breath mechanism didn't allow her to speak , she pressed her palm over her chest and tried taking deep breaths .

Sh- she's... inside .

S- what is he gonna do !

Sh- I don't know , surgery .

S- what ?

Shivaay was horror stricken, he had those fresh tears in his eyes immediately.

S- sharon , don't let him. Sharon please help us , help your mentor. She needs you sharon.

Sh- no ...no I can't

S- sharon please !atleast open this thing .

Sharon kept shaking her head continuously.

Sh - he'll kill me , no . I ...no.

Without waiting anymore , she stood up and ran halfway just to rush back to them again .She then picked certain necessities from the things she carried and passed it through the small opening kept at the bottom left corner of the door .

Rudra spat fire through his red eyes as he watched her do that , she shook her head and cried seeing him eye to eye .

Sh - I'm so sorry .

She ran from there at once after whispering this for shivaay punched and banged the door in anger .

Annika breathed through her mouth and slowly opened her eyes feeling extremely drowsy. She noticed that she was lying on her stomach and tried seeing behind. The bright light was focused on her back , she could hardly keep her eyes open .

A- don't ...please

Tej who was fixing the face mask got bewildered on seeing her moving .

T- shh ...I'll give you another shot then .

A- v shali, please

Vrushali closed her eyes tightly and turned the other side . Tej ran his palm over her hand slowly .

T- it'll be over soon , don't worry annika .

A- get , off me.

She barely tried and shook her head to push him away .

He then signalled vrushali to begin , watching her hesitation he sighed huge and prepared the syringe himslef .

T- I'm sorry annika .

He injected it directly into her spine.

A- maa...!!!!

She squealed holding onto the sheets tightly.

Her shriek echoed around the place , such was the volume . Shivaay could no longer hold on , this noise from her scared him to death .

S- Om please help me .

Om made Rudra lay down and quickly stood up . Both positioned themselves at a quiet distance away from the door , and ran fast to bang the glass in force . It didn't work , Shivaay's condition was only getting worse . He didn't give up though , they tried the same drill twice , thrice and again and again. They then tried kicking the spot where it had a small opening at the bottom which gave them a crack . Both pushed the left over strength they had in them to make it big . The glass cracked here and there time to time for they kept trying without leaving any span in between .

T- scalpel .

A- pl..ease

T- help your brother dear .

A- pl

T - I love you child .

He slowly took the tool to her skin and made a press , just soon the room went wide open for Om ran in and kicked Tej's abdomen . Shivaay rushed towards annika .

S- annika , annika . Are you ok , annika !

He slowly turned her over and she hardly remained conscious.

S- annika

He screamed and looked and the other girls with his red eyes .

V - she's ok , we didn't do anything.

Vrushali and sharon were too much scared to even stand along with an enraged shivaay there , they both ran out to move off his sight .

Om fought Tej who kept on coming back , and at one point he just punched his arm and threw him away for he landed out of the room .

When Om left him back for a second to check on annika , Tej looked around to soon get a grip of his mind when something struck him . He quickly got up and ran to his personal cabin .

Suddenly there was a high pitched noise of some siren , Om and shivaay ran out to check on it .

Om - what's this noise ?

Sharon and Vrushali were horrified on realizing something .

V- we have to leave !

S- what the hell is happening ?

Sh- its shutting down . The oxygen , it will be sucked out soon .

Om and Shivaay looked shocked.

V - he's leaving.

Vrushali screamed and ran to his room when he was entering the elevator .

Sharon looked at Rudra who lied at the corner for once before running behind Vrushali .

Sh- I'm sorry I'm so sorry.
