Pongal time 2020

KM think about their previous Pongal. How they fought with each other. 

Mullai smiles thinking about how the times have changed. 

Eventually, she backtracks to their marriage date. She can't believe its only been a year since she became "Mullai Kathirvelan" and how she hated that in the beginning. She didn't think that the one guy she fought with her entire life is the same one, the only one, who'll come along with her for the rest of her life. It felt like years have passed since their understanding has grown so deep, but realistically, their relationship has changed so much in just one year. 

Meanwhile, Kathir was thinking about how nervous he felt in those few minutes that changed his life. Everything from when Jeeva admitted his feelings for Meena, how Dhanam turned to look at Kathir at that instant and decided to get him married, and finally, tying the knot with Mullai, felt like a blur. Until then, he hadn't even thought about a girl, let alone marriage. He never expected he'd get married to the one girl he hated. But his Anna/Anni told him and he blindly agreed. 

He's happy he trusted his Anna/Anni so much. Now, his life is a thousand times better than he ever expected. Now he thanked the Gods for being at the right place at the right time so that he was able to marry his "Azhagi". 

Then, at the same time, they turn to each other (without any verbal communication) while blushing about their anniversary on 12.12.2019.

The time was 11:48pm, 12 minutes from the time being 12am on 12.12. Kathir and Mullai pretended to sleep but couldn't because they wanted to be the first one to wish their better half on better half on this very special day. 

Slowly, Mullai got up looking at the clock and turned to look at her husband. Meanwhile, Kathir also turned at the same time. For the next few minutes, the most intense KM eye lock began. So much love was shared in those few minutes. Then, in sync, both turned to the clock right as it stroke 12. KM are blushing and got up to face each other.

 They were both waiting for this moment but didnt exactly plan what to do once their anniversary began. Not knowing the other person's mindset, both went in for a handshake. But something came over them and they immediately went in for a BIG hug. They didn't need to verbalize their wishes. Both felt so content, relieved, happy, and loved at that moment. 

Mullai started tearing up thinking about how just a year ago, she told his very man to not come near her. But in just a year, his love has won her over and all she wanted was to be in his embrace. 

Kathir feels the teardrops and caresses her hair to make her feel better. Just a year ago, he felt confused on what his unexpected and new life will be life. But now, he knows his only purpose is to make sure his Mullai is always happy. 

After what felt like eternity, they slowly broke the hug and returned to sleep. Fully content and excited for what the next year will hold.
