When mullai was busy chatting with her friends , her phone rang...

Mullai took her phone out and saw its kathir...

M : sollunga kathir sir...

K : yenga iruka..

M : pandian stores la packet potutu iruken...

K : thimir de unaku...

M : pinna college pora ponna intha nerathula yenga iruke nu ketta yennatha solla...

K : un kita ellam manushan pesa mudiyathu...

M : athu yenna kattika poravan kavalai padanum... ne yethuku kavala padare...

K : ne mudhala college vitu veliya vaa.... na unna paakanum...

M : enaku class inum 10 nimishathula arambichudum.... neram achu... athum illama ne kunnakudi la irunthu karaikudi vara varai veliya yelam wait panna mudiyathu...

Mullai came out of college and saw kathir waiting for her...

Kathir started the bike as she hopped onto it...

Mullai glanced at kathir through the mirror and sametime kathir peeked at the mirror catching mullai's look....

A few seconds of Eye lock...

Mullai pulled her eyes from his eyes reluctantly...

M : oh ho... athe icecream parlour than ah..

They came to the icecream parlour and sat in a secluded place....

After sometime, he came back with icecreams in hand in few minutes and placed it in front of her ...

M : ipo yethuku intha icecream drama ellam...

K : aama Pandian stores la viyabaram illaa.. athan side la drama podaren...

M : podu podu... nalla than iruku...

K : yena de lollu ah...

Kathir scowled at her for a second...

K : yenna kalyanam panika yosikanum ah ne...

M : pidikaatha onna veetukaga pana solranga... yosika venama...
pidikaatha kalyanam... pidikaatha mapillaa...

K : intha... enna pidikalaiya unaku... vara kovathula pattnu onnu kuduthuruven...

A silence....

K (in a soft voice) : niyabagam iruka de athellam...

M(same tone) : marantha than eh niyabagam varathuku..

Both smiled at eachother mesmerizingly...
The memories started flashing like a dream...
This was the same question and answer they shared when mullai proposed him first....
That day kathir tried to sound rigid and strict to her saying no when she said she loves him but she was so adamant... Unable to hold himself more he said the same...

"Sona purinjuka matte... vara kovathula pattnu onnu kuduthuduven...."

" yena kudupa... muthama..."

They stayed silent for a minute dazing at eachother with a smile then drifted back to fighting mode leaving mullai angry and kathir snappy...
Yes the proposal day ended up in fight....

Being the only girl in the family, mullai had been completely pampered by her parents and kathir's family... She was apple of their eye...
All those made her stubborn and uncompromising...
She very well knew kathir loves her a lot just like her..
That too even before she started loving him just that she never understood it.....But he did not let it out for some reason..
She mistook its all because of his machismo...
So she threw tantrums every now and then with kathir pricking him with words for his denial....

Off course Kathir was no less than her..
He was madly in love with her but he had his own reasons for not accepting it.. He knows she got that he loves her... Even after understanding his unsaid love, she pretended to be dubious making him mad....
He was quick tempered and intolerant and at the sametime he was completely himself to mullai with no inhibition... So he never tried to hide his irritations to her and he too made situation worse with his unnecessary fiery words....

Days passed....
Things changed a little between them...
After she started her college, kathir took her to the same place they are now to propose her...
Remembering the day of her proposal, Mullai started her impatient talks without taking any effort to listen to him making kathir huffy...
He threw words out of frustration....
Again it ended up in flare up between them and aggravating the sitch more and more..

She yelled she doesnt love him anymore and He said he never loved her at all..

Well another day of proposal is all done because of their ego....

They knew that they love eachother a lot but never opened it up after those two incidents...

Mullai's thoughts were like "My proposal is done.. Let him come back to me if he loves me... I am not going to take any more step for him"..

Where as kathir's thoughts were like " When she is not even ready to listen to the thoughts about my love, why should I express it to her again. Let a situation come from her side then let me speak about my love."

They had always been close to eachother right from childhood... Its not that they share sugar coated words of love.. They had been a type who show their love teasing eachother, fighting with eachother, shouting at eachother...
Kathir's love to mullai was always different from other three brothers...
They were more like friends, enemies, cousins, care takers, fighter cocks, partners in crime and many more...
They didnt change much after the proposal mess ups except for some stealing glances, hidden meaning talks and pretence to avoid eachother...
Everything remained the same between them..
So none in the family knew about the new love blossomed between them...

The days moved with eyes full of love, actions full of ego and heart zipped tight not to let out the love...

Now its time for change....

They came back to their senses and to the current discussion with fire....

They spent the following time chatting,fighting, laughing, teasing and left to her college again...

While kathir was waiting outside, Mullai went inside and came back with her bag...

Mullai climbed the bike hugging him around his waist...
