Six years later, Matt the footman of Krolia's Kingdom sees Alfor's coach arrive as he blows the trumpet and says "They're here, Your Majesty" King Alfor comes out the carriage first, the 12 year old Allura and finally six year old Lance as they see Queen Krolia, 12 year old Shiro and nine year old Keith already waiting as Alfor smiles and says "Good morning, Krolia. Your kindness does not do you justice" Krolia smiles and says "Welcome to our fair kingdom, Alfor and to your children as well" Allura and Lance walk toward Shiro and Keith as Shiro says "Come on Keith, let's go" Keith whines "Shiro" Shiro scolds "Keith" the two brothers walk toward Allura and Lance as Shiro smiles and says "It's a pleasure to make your aquanitence, Princess Allura" Allura smiles and says "Likewise, Prince Shiro" Keith faces Lance and says "Hello Prince Lance, I'm very pleased to meet you" Lance says "Pleased to meet you, Prince Keith" Keith walks away until Krolia says "Uh-uh" Keith walks towards Lance again as he takes Lance's hand and kisses it for a short time and says "So happy you could come" Lance agrees "So happy to be here" but they were both not so happy as it was not their idea of fun

While Keith and Lance are fighting, Allura says "Our brothers seem to get along very well" Shiro agrees "If this gets better, we'll join our kingdoms for sure" Allura giggles "That's precisely the idea, Shiro" Shiro chuckles "We're good siblings" Allura agrees "And politicians. I'm so happy we agree" Shiro smiles and says "I think we've got a deal" Allura smiles and says "Keith is quite a catch" they see their brothers figting and pry them apart since it was both Shiro and Allura's idea of such a match

Three years later, it was summer again as Alfor and 15 year old Allura gather their luggage as Alfor says "Lance, don't dawdle. We mustn't keep Keith waiting" nine year old Lance says "I didn't pack or wash my hair, Dad whenever I get seasick" Allura says "I'll take care of this, Father" meanwhile, Krolia arrives in Keith's room and says "Keith, they'll be arriving soon" but when she sees his 12 year old son shooting arrows at a drawing of Lance, she asks "Is that the kind of respect you're showing?" Keith replies "Mom, if you make me kiss his hand again, I swear I'm gonna be sick" 14 year old Shiro says "It's okay Mom, I'll handle him" Alfor, Allura and Lance arrive but while Alfor smiles and says "One day, Krolia, your son will be my son's intended" Krolia smiles and says "Splendid, Alfor, very splendid" ten year old Hunk gives Keith a tomato as Keith shoots it and it lands on Lance's face causing the two boys to laugh

Keith and Hunk try to lose Lance, but he still follows them like every summer and when picking teams or friends, Keith didn't choose Lance as Hunk laughs "You think he'd take a hint and learned to read" Keith and Hunk are in their treehouse as Lance arrives and Hunk shows him a sign that says "No Dumb-Dumbs" Lance argues "This really isn't fair" Keith and Hunk retort "We really couldn't care" Lance kicks a loose piece and yells "It's all or none, boys" the treehouse fall down on the three boys. After getting their wounds treated, Lance goes back to his castle with Alfor and Allura as Shiro lectures Keith and Hunk. It was not their idea of fun

Three more years later, Alfor, 18 year old Allura and 12 year old Lance arrive at Krolia's kingdom. Lance and 15 year old Keith play dress up and while Lance flirts with the castle guards, Keith watches with a jealous look as nine year old Pidge teases "I think you really sorta like Lance. Fess up" Keith scoffs "I'd like him better if he'd lose at cards" but while Keith and Lance play cards, Keith smirks" Four sevens and a ten" but Lance smiles and says "I think I've won again" Keith groans at Lance winning everytime and this wasn't his or Pidge's idea of fun but it was Lance's though. While Alfor and Allura wave goodbye to Krolia and Shiro, Lance throws a tomato at Keith's face but throws the other one on the ground and the ship leaves to return to Alfor's kingdom

Six years later, 25 year old Allura writes a letter to Shiro asking "Shiro, what if Lance doesn't go for the merger?" 25 year old Shiro reads the letter and replies "Urge him, Allura" for as long as Keith and Lance remember, they've been told every June until September they'd someday wed with all their pushing and annoying hints and every fingerprinted bruise. Alfor and Allura drag 18 year old Lance to the ball room as he complains "He's so immature, Allura" Allura says "I'm sure you'll love Keith this time, Lance" and as she closes the door, Lance hears Shiro say "Don't mess it up this time, Keith" 21 year old Keith complains "I'm sure I can do much better, Shiro" and when Shiro closes the door, Keith and Lance turn around to see each other as Lance sees Keith smiling at him and feels his knees buckling. Lance starts to see inside Keith and feel every single doubt washing away from his mind. 

Keith knows that Lance started out as an ugly duckling when they were kids, but seeing Lance all grown up made Keith realize that the man standing in front of him became somehow and suddenly a swan. Keith walks towards Lance who smiles and says "So happy to be here, Keith" Keith smiles and says "So happy you could come, Lance" the young lovers didn't know, until now, that they've been dreaming of each other while all the servants, maids, butlers and musicians prepared the celebration. Within minutes, the ballroom was full of decorations as all the chandeliers lit and while Keith and Lance are dancing, they knew what they never knew before that this was their idea of love as they share their first kiss as a sign of declaring their love
