80's Keith is hilarious I'm just thinking of him doing the 😤 thing.

Lance POV:

Blue was crashing to the ground and I lost control. I tried everything and pushed every button but nothing worked. Upon realization I was about to hit the ground I braved for impact holding my head hearing my fellow paladins screaming through my helmet.

I couldn't hear them anymore. My eyes opened slightly. I was on the ground beside blue, my helmet was thrown about a yard or two away. My eyes slowly closed but then I heard Keith scream my name with worry and arms wrap around my torso pulling me into a hug.

I didn't want to open my eyes and they felt heavy but I forced them open. "Keithy?" My voice was shaky and rough.

"Lance! Stay awake for a bit Okay? I'm going to get you back to the castle, just hold on." Keith was worried beyond anything I've seen from him.

I lifted my hand and ran it through his hair. "I like your mullet, I'll never admit it again so remember that." I said as he picked me up carefully.

"I'm never letting you forget you told me that I hope you know." Keith laughed as he carried me into the red lion. I fell asleep and my vision was just black.

I woke up in the healing pod, Keith was asleep leaning against the wall in the corner. I walked out weakly, my legs needed to get used to walking a bit. He didn't wake up so I walked to the computer and began to look at the data.

"I had a fatal wound to the stomach and a mild concussion. A few broken ribs, nothing too bad. I was in there for... 2 weeks, Geez." I read quietly to myself.

"Hey Lance, you're out!" Hunk exclaimed. The others walked in waking up Keith.

"Uh, Yeah." I said rubbing the back of my head.

"You know Keith has been by your pod for practically the fully two weeks-" Pidge said but Keith quickly elbowed her to shut up.

Keith really did that? I felt my eyes drift to him, imagining him staying by my pod refusing to go anywhere being the stubborn person he is. I smiled which he caught and blushed.

"Are you saying mullet head cares?!" I said sarcastically.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny. And don't tell me you forgot our bonding moment this time." He laughed but it died down as I gave him a confused look.

"Our bonding moment? Riiiigghht?" I really did remember, in fact I remember it vividly. Keith had looked so adorable, I thought of him every passing minute I was in that healing pod and I'm proud of it.

"Are you being serious?" Keith's face dropped. When I just stared at him he took it as a no.

Keith put his hands together in front of his face and breathed in deeply as he closed his eyes.

"I'm going to kill him. I'm actually going to fetching kill him."

Allura trying to maintain some peace quickly pushed me along. "You should probably eat something." It reminded me of the first time I was in the healing pod, when I came out and Allura said the same thing I flirted with her a bit. It was always all in good fun, but it just didn't feel right anymore.

I liked Keith at the time but did it, Why was it so different now. Maybe our bond just got deeper but I believe it's because during my time in the pod I realized I don't like Keith. I flooping love that man. He wasn't just a simple crush anymore.

"Yeah sure." I said walking to the kitchen. Everyone blinked with slight shock I didn't try to flirt or make a pick up line, they brushed it off though.

As I was eating, Shiro and Allura filled me in on what happened over the two weeks. Keith was standing right beside me and I felt my heart jump. This is it, I'm gonna make a move. It will be small and subtle but it'll still be my move. I leaned over and rested my head against Keith still listening to them talking.

I felt myself panic. How was Keith reacting? Was he fine with it? Did he like it? Should I stop? Okay act calm. Everyone raised a simple eyebrow to my act but otherwise brushed it off. Considering me and Keith 'hate' each other, it is really unexpected for me to have a crush on him.

I felt Keith move in slightly signaling it was okay to lean on him. Thank heavens...

I stopped really listening to Shiro and Allura and slowly blinked. My head resting on Keith was a wonderful feeling. I was so tired and I just wanted to cuddle up to him and fall asleep.

"Lance are you listening?" Allura asked annoyed as she snapped her fingers.

"Yeah, Sorry, I'm just..." I yawned my eyes tearing at the corners, "tired." I rubbed my eyes trying to focus but my vision was getting blurry and I kept yawning.

"I think we should finish later and let Lance get some rest. He's making me tired just watching him try to stay awake." Shiro said standing up from the table.

"Thanks Shiro." I lifted my head off Keith and stood up. Keith was blushing! To me, that felt like a small victory. Everyone left leaving me. And Keith. "I, uh, remember you know."

"What?" He looked confused.

"The bonding moment..." I laughed. I then got a punch to the arm. "Hey ow!" I smiled as I rubbed the spot.

"You deserved it." Keith laughed.

"Hey, do you mind walking with me?" I asked.

"No, of course." He said walking up next to me as we went down the hallway to my room. It was mostly silent and when we got to my door we both turned to look at each other.

"So, I don't know if this will weird you out or make you uncomfortable but do you mind staying with me?" I asked messing with my fingers to distract myself from the embarrassment of asking.

"Yeah," Keith started, "no, I don't mind"

I smiled and opened my door letting him in before letting it close behind us. I watched him scan the room and I sat practically waiting for approval.

"Nice room." He said picking up a book that was neatly put on a shelf. I had posters of earth all over my walls and pictures of everyone in voltron up on a cork board. He walked over and began to inspect them.

There was one of Hunk smiling as he was cooking some weird purple goo, He was trying to get tacos. Pidge was messing with rover trying to get him some upgrades. Coran was being Coran. Shiro drinking from a #1 dad mug. Allura, piloting the ship. But a small collection of just specifically Keith caught his eye.

"This one is of me all the way back at the garrison." Keith laughed. "Where'd you get that?"

"Uh, I took it because, you were my rival!" I defended. That was not the reason. I had a total huge crush on the man that's the frick what.

Another one of Keith as he was fighting a simulator, him sitting on the couch, him eating, one he was sleeping on the couch, and finally and my personal favorite, me and Keith, I was making a goofy face and Keith didn't know what was going on so he just looked at the camera flustered making the perfect photo.

"I'm gonna go lay down." I said groggily walking over to change into my pajamas. I took off my shirt and Keith turned around, when he saw I was shirtless his face went red and he looked away. I smirked slightly and began to put on a shirt that said 'Aliens are real, NASA told me' I thought it was ironic. I then changed into some plaid pajama pants.

I walked to my bed laying down and getting under the covers. Keith came over and sat down on the bed with one leg up and the other dangling off.

"You can lay down you know." I said. I just really want to cuddle with him...

"Okay." He went under the covers slowly. I rolled over and lied there with my eyes closed.

"I'm cold." Okay, I might be pushing it a bit, but I want to cuddle.

"Do you want me to go get another blanket?" Keith asked. Damn, he's to naive.

"No."

"Umm, do you want me to talk to Allura about a heating s-" Keith began.

"NO I WANT TO CUDDLE YOU, IDIOT!" I quickly flipped over to face him. He stared at me wide eyed for a moment.

"O-okay." He said a small smile was on his lips and he snuggled against me nervously. I wrapped my arms around him as he cuddled into my chest. I fell asleep before him but he eventually did.

I heard a knock at the door but I wasn't thinking still being half asleep. I rolled over and cuddled in deeper with the warm mass behind me. Everything slowly came back to me, that 'mass' I was snuggled into was Keith. I turned back around and my eyes fluttered open. Keith was asleep, his lips slightly parted looking so peaceful.

I brushed my fingers through his hair and caressed his cheek planting a kiss on his forehead. "Mmh, Lance." He mumbled before a smile spread across his lips. His eyes opened and he cuddled up to me. He looked up kissing my cheek.

"I'm coming in!" Someone called from the other side of the door. Both of us went wide eyed and Keith pulled the sheets over his head as I pulled a long pillow over him to cover the lump in the bed better.

Allura, Hunk, and Pidge walked in looking around slightly confused. "We came to check on you, are you feeling well?" Allura asked.

"Yeah, I'm just really tired, sorry I slept in." I felt a hand touch my leg and I immediately remembered Keith under the sheets and I felt my face go red. I felt his thumb rub circles in my thigh and it was becoming difficult to keep my cool.

"Lance are you sure you're alright? Your face is looking quite red? Are you warm?" Allura asked walking up to feel my forehead.

I pushed her hand away. "I'm fine really, just let me change and get ready for the day, I'll be out here soon. You can fill me in then." I said sitting up. I put my hand on Keith through the sheets and made circles with my finger. To them it looked like I was simply messing with sheets when really I was getting my revenge on a raven haired figure in the bed.

"Very well." She said and they all walked out with concerned looks. I quickly climbed out of bed locking the door behind them before laughing, turning around to see a grinning Keith sitting up in bed.

"Haha! They totally bought it! Hey Lance, your face is looking a little pink, are you sure you're feeling well?" Keith teased walking over to me laughing as he wrapped his arms around my neck.

"Yeah, mr. I'm-going-to-mess-with-you-while-trying-to-keep-our-cover!" I put my hands on his hips.

"Just a bit of fun?" Keith planted a kiss on my jawline.

"Whatever you say." I smiled kissing him on the lips lovingly.
