Baby Lance AND Baby Keith
I'm going through requests one by once. Thanks for your patience and sorry if I haven't gotten to yours yet.
Shiro pinched the bridge of his nose. All this bickering was driving him insane. "Would you two stop fighting for five minutes!" He snapped.
Lance and Keith both huffed turning away from one another. The others sat in silence, shocked Shiro was lashing out.
"He started it!" Keith spat.
"As if! You were acting all high and mighty!" Lance mimicked him.
"You're both acting like children!" Shiro raised his voice harshly.
In the blink of an eye, smoke exploded around them. They all scrambled to find each other in the smoke. "Stay calm. Remember your training and keep alert." Shiro instructed.
They all felt around aimlessly and when the smoke cleared they all stood with mouths hanging open. The sight was unbelievable.
Lance and Keith... were kids.
"Well this should be interesting." Pidge stated pushing up her glasses.
The two 'kids' looked at one another confused before screaming in horror. "Keith is tiny!" Yelled Lance before noticing his own height. "Oh- quiznack- I'm tiny!"
"How did this even happen?!" Keith's small high pitched voice spoke. Lance felt a ping in his heart. That was too precious, Keith sounded so small and innocent.
They looked to Shiro remembering his words. "Don't look at me, I have no clue."
"We wouldn't be in this mess in the first place if Lance wasn't always trying to fight with me." Keith mumbled.
"Whatever Keith!" Lance yelled back in his own high pitched voice. Tears ran down his cheeks and he wiped his face on his sleeve. "You're just a... a... meanie face!" Lance struggled to find his words at first but when he did, Keith was taken back by the harsh word making tears stream down his face as well.
The paladins watched in mild amusement but also pity; they were actually beginning to act like children, they couldn't help it. "Well Lance! You're a... stupid head!"
Lance burst into tears and took off catching Hunk in a warm embrace. Hunk felt bad for the poor kid and picked him up. "Ke-ith h-hates m-m-meee!" His sobbing was pathetic and he struggled to say a full sentence clearly.
Keith had done a very similar act running to Shiro.
"C'mon let's go have a talk." Shiro rolled his eyes picking up the boy rolling his eyes. Once again, he was falling back into the nickname the paladins had given him, 'Spacedad'.
Shiro set Keith down when they were away from the others. "What's wrong bud?"
"Lance is angry with me." He cried.
"I don't think Lance is angry with you Keithy." Shiro smiled warmly.
"He called me a meanie face. And he always wants to fight." Keith pointed out.
Shiro rolled his eyes, kids were so emotional. Then again, this was hilariously out of character for Keith. "Well, maybe Lance picks on you because he likes you."
Keith seemed to perk up at this. "Really? Do you think?"
"Yeah! People do it all the time! How else do you think I got the heart of Adam?" Shiro laughed.
"Really? You were mean to Adam." Keith asked.
"No, we teased each other occasionally. But, here's the catch. If you're going to flirt by teasing each other, you also have to do something sweet. So here's the plan..." Did Shiro feel weird giving relationship advice to a kid? Yes. But he's known about the twos crushes on each other for so long he was over it.
Lance was sitting on the couch with Pidge, he still had tear stained cheeks and would occasionally sniffle.
"You wanna talk about it?" Pidge asked typing away at her computer.
"Do you think Keith really thinks I'm a stupid face?" Lance asked.
"I can tell you with 100% honesty, Keith does not think you're a stupid face." Pidge said flatly.
Lance stood up and walked on the couch over to her. "Are you sure. He looked mad."
"Lance, Keith does not think you're a stupid face." She repeated.
"I shouldn't have called him a meanie head." Lance said curling up with his knees to his chest.
"Then go apologize." Pidge suggested.
Just then Keith walked in holding a milkshake. He had tears welling up in his eyes. "Lance, I'm sorry I called you a stupid face."
Tears pricked Lances eyes as well and he ran forward pulling him into a hug. One that Keith partially returned as he was trying not to spill the treat. "I'm sorry I called you a meanie head!"
Smoke bombed from no where and when it cleared, it was Lance and Keith hugging back to their normal selves.
The two boys were shocked at first but then smiled widely at each other. They were normal again. Lance rubbed the back of his neck standing in front of Keith awkwardly.
They were both blushing and Keith was the first to speak. "U-m, this is for you." He held out the milkshake to Lance.
The boy smiled accepting it a little flustered. Sure he was a flirt but this was different, this was... real. "Did you want to share?" Lance offered.
Keith put up a hand. "I'm lactose intolerant."
"That's right I forgot." He laughed nervously. Both boys hoped for some kind of trigger, anything to get this relationship started, yet neither wanted to make such a bold move.
"Are you two gonna make out or what?" Pidge asked.
"Get out." They both said calmly.
Pidge stood up raising her hands defensively. "Geez, I'm not stupid, I can tell when I'm unwanted." She left.
"Do you?" Lance asked.
"What?" Keith looked at him unsure of what he was talking about.
"Do you want to make out?"Lance smiled jokingly.
Keith face went red. "You're unbelievable. Yes."
Lance, who was not actually expecting to hear an answer, stood in disbelief before taking off down the hallway still holding the milkshake with Keith following. Of course they were making a brake for the nearest room.
