Altean Lance Galra Keith; Ye another one

I hated the Galra so much I could barely stand it sometimes. What they did to my home, killed my family, killed my race. My planet destroyed, all being left of Altea is the castle of Lions. The only survivors of the devastating even being Coran, Allura, and me. Allura is my sister while Coran is like a crazy uncle.

I am the paladin of the Blue Lion and will stop at nothing to take Zarcon down. Allura is the paladin of the Red Lion. Then some earthlings found their way here, they vow to help protect the universe and take it back from the Galra race. Shiro is the leader, piloting the Black Lion.

Pidge flying the Green and Hunk flying the Yellow. They've all become good friends of mine and I could even say they are family.

"I'm on the ship." I said through my helmet alerting Shiro. We were taking out a large supply ship and had to remain subtle. They detected us and our cover was blown. I volunteered to risk entering the ship and shutting it down while the others held off the drones.

I held up my bayard quietly transforming it. Hiding behind each pillar as I ran and sniping off soldiers on by one was easy. I slipped into a room with a large control panel and shut the door running over and scanning all the buttons.

"Pidge, how do I shut it down?" I cut in.

"There should be a button with this symbol on it." Pidge sent me the image and it projected from my armor piece. "Press that then press whatever button glows. You'll need to find a Galra soldier in order to grant access."

I did the steps in order but a small bad with a glowing handprint flashed. I need a Galra soldier in order to completely shut down the ship.

"Looks like you need something." A deep voice said behind me. This was not my first run in with Keith. A Galra soldier with a lot of trust from Zarcon. Every time I've come face to face with him he lets us escape.

Why? No idea. I raised my gun but he kicked it and swung his sword slashing a small cut into my arm. I kept standing for moments before collapsing to my knees. "So many times... you could have killed me so many times." I gripped my arm applying pressure. I pulled off my helmet and he stared at me blankly. He sucked in air through clenched teeth. "So why don't you just kill me now?"

He stood frozen to his spot. His sword raised and I squeezed my eyes shut ready for whatever was to come next.

But nothing happened. My eyes fluttered open and I looked up at him in confusion. Keith sheathed his sword and walked to the control panel hesitantly placing his hand on the sensor.

"Get out."

"W-why did you do that?" I watched in disbelief. He was clearly troubled by his own actions.

"Leave." Keith said harshly.

I stood up shakily watching him. His face was turned away and I could hear his heavy breathing. "Y-you're helping me?"

"Look, they're gonna kill me soon anyway. I let you go too many times and they suspect me as a traitor." He turned around his violet eyes finding my blue ones.

"Damn." I said through clenched teeth. I don't know why I did what I did but I grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door and down the hall.

"What are you doing?" Keith demanded.

"Saving your ass." I pulled him through the doorway I used to enter and pulled my helmet on. "Shiro, the ship is shut down. I'm on my way." I radioed in.

"Hurry, we need back up now." Shiro directed. I ran to blue and looked back at Keith.

"Are you coming or not?" I asked standing in the mouth of my lion. He glanced at the hallway before joining me.

"Why are you helping me?" He asked.

"I don't know, why'd you help me back there?" I asked sitting in the pilot chair and flying my lion out. I saw the others flying around shooting at the drones. I froze one just before it shot at Pidge.

"Thanks Lance." Pidge said through the intercom.

"Don't mention it." I shot at a few more, them blowing to pieces. I glanced over my shoulder to see Keith watching in awe.

"Everyone, back to the castle." Shiro said blowing up the main ship.

"To think, you could've been on that." I said quietly.

"Yeah." He stared at it as it lit up in fiery colors of red, yellow, and orange. Debris scattered in all directions setting a feeling of uneasiness in our stomachs.

I pulled in the hangers but remained in the seat biting at my cheek in thought.

"Are you Okay?" He asked with his large purple eyes.

"I'm fine. I'm just thinking of what to do with you." I smiled standing up and grabbing his hand. I pulled him off to the exit but carefully dodged the other paladins. I dragged him down the hall and brought him into my dark room. I stumbled looking for the lights before feeling myself trip running into a warm figure. The lights flicked on thanks to Keith but I was pressed against his chest after falling.

I felt heat rise to my cheeks embarrassed and sat on the edge of my bed. "This is my room. You can make yourself comfortable. I'm a little hesitant on you meeting the others quite yet. I'm not sure if they'll react kindly, especially Allura."

He nodded and sat cross legged on the floor.

"You're so different. Different from the other Galra. Why?" I asked leaning forward examining his features.

"I-I don't really know. I think there was human lineage further back in my family. But I'm not sure." He rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"Now that you mention it you aren't as furry as the other Galra, you look more human." I reached forward touching his hair. "The other Paladins may appreciate that. But I don't know how they'll feel with me bringing a Galra general to the castle and all."

It was silent for a moment and I watched as Keith stood up. "Why didn't you leave me on the ship?"

"Why did you help shut down the ship?" I hummed.

"I can assure you they were for different reasons." He fumbled with the sheets on my bed.

I grabbed his arm. Woah he's pretty uh-fit. "Maybe. But maybe not."

"W-well. I helped you because um, it felt right?" He said it sounding more like a question. "I don't know, it's just- I got like a weird feeling in my stomach when I saw you."

I stared at him for a moment letting what he said register in my brain. "When I grabbed you, I-I just- I knew you weren't like he other Galra. You seemed so... conflicted?" I looked at his armor. "Did you want some cloths?"

"All we usually wear is our armor."

I stood up and grabbed a shirt and pants. It will be weird seeing a Galra in Altean clothing. "Do you think this will be okay?"

Keith took the cloths examining them and nodding. He stood up and began to pull off his armor and shirt showing his chest.

"W-what are you doing!?" I yelped and pushed him to the bathroom extremely aware of my hands of his bare skin. I could tell my face was red and I was breathing heavily. I handed him the cloths through a crack in the door.

"Is it not okay to change in front of others?" He asked through through the door.

"No it's just um, you don't usually." I was so flustered. Just by seeing his chest too. I'm such a mess.

"Oh, we typically change in front of one another. Sorry."

"N-no, don't be. It's our own weird custom." I laughed nervously.

"This shirt is weird." I heard him struggling and the ruffle of the article.

"Are you decent?" I asked.

"I got the pants on but the shirt is odd."

"How so?"

"It's got like this flowy lace thing." Keith sounded confused.

"Yeah that's the style. Here I'll help you." I took a deep breath and slowly opened the door. Shirtless Keith.

My face burned red and I grabbed the shirt awkwardly. I walked to my dresser and found a more simple red shirt.

"Here, this suits you more anyway." My eyes caught his chest and I felt myself explode. "I-I-I-uh, um, does that fit well?" I asked looking in the other direction.

"Yeah. Your face is red, are you okay?"

"M-me? I-I'm fine." I said nervously.

There was a nock at the door. "Lance, it's Shiro. Dinners ready. We didn't see you after the mission, are you alright?"

"Y-Yeah! I'm great. I'll be right there." No I am not fine! I have an extremely hot Galra soldier in my room and I just saw him shirtless!

Keith looked at me as if wondering what to do.

"I'll be right back. I'll get you some food." I smiled at him and he blushed lightly nodding.

I snuck some food back to my room and when I walked in, Keith was sitting on the floor Indian-style in front of the door. I jumped back nearly having a heart attack.

"Don't scare me like that!" I breathed heavily.

"Sorry." He smiled. I get the feeling he wasn't sorry.

"I got you some food. It's only space goo but it's better than nothing, right?" I handed him the tray.

I watched him eat, awkwardly sitting on my bed. He was so cute.

"Lance." There was a knock at the door and it started to open.

"Wait!! I'm changing!!!" I quickly threw a blanket over Keith as Shiro already walked in.

"Sorry." He had his eyes covered.

"I'm decent." I sighed Keith was painfully obvious. He was standing still with a sheet over him. His legs were visible and I almost laughed.

"Who's... under the blanket?" Shiro raised an eyebrow.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." I said putting my head on Keith's shoulder and wrapping my arms around him from behind.

"I-I honestly don't even know what to do with you Lance." Shiro said in the biggest dad voice and left.

I laughed pulling the blanket off Keith's head. He looked so adorable and confused. I leaned forward and kissed him.

It surprised him and it honestly surprised me too. It was quick and when I pulled back he was staring at me dumbfounded.

"What was that?" Keith asked quietly.

"A kiss." I said kind of embarrassed.

"What does a kiss mean?"

He doesn't know what a kiss is? Oh damn I'm going to have to explain it to him. "Well, when someone likes someone else they usually um kiss them."

"So you like me?" He asked innocently.

"Y-yes."

"Well then I like you too." He said happily. "Wait so, I like this bed, would I kiss it too?"

"No, 'like' as in romantically."

"Oh, okay." His face was red and he didn't look at me.

"Want to change your answer." I asked laughing lightly.

"N-no." Keith rubbed his neck awkwardly.

Wait. What? I leaned forward again and kissed him, him kissing back this time.

"Hey Lance I really don't think-." Shiro froze when he walked in on the sight. His arm began to glow and his face hardened.

"But daddy I love him!!" I yelled throwing myself dramatically over Keith's lap.

Long story short, we practically adopted Keith into the Voltron family and I got an hour of time out for bringing a Galra soldier into the castle without telling anyone. Also Keith is my boyfriend.
