I yawned as I made my way into the dining room, my arms above my head in a stretch.

"Good morning guys." I said, smiling at my team and letting my arms drop to my sides.

A chorus of "Morning Lance" went around the room and I grinned before taking my place at the table.

Hunk pushed a drink and a bowl of space goo towards me and I thanked him.

Pidge began talking to me about the latest alteration she'd made on the ships defence system. I listened as I ate and glanced around the room at everyone.

Shiro was talking to Allura, a small blush dusting his nose which made me smile.

Hunk was discussing new recipes with Coran, the ginger then suggesting alternative ingredients that he could use.

And Keith... Keith sat stirring his goo with his spoon and staring intently at me.

I stuck my tongue out at him and then turned back to Pidge.

Slowly, everyone finished their food and left to do their own thing until it was just me and Keith at the table.

He was still staring at me, still stirring his goo, still being the weird ass emo he is.

A cute weird ass emo though.

"What're you staring at?" I finally asked, meeting his gaze.

"I don't know but it sure is beautiful." He said softly.

I choked a little on my food, starting a violent coughing fit.

When I finally stopped dying I looked back to him incredulously.

"Y-you just hit on me." I said, the tone in my voice sounding way less surprised than I felt.

"Maybe..." He said with a small wink before he got up and took his bowl of untouched food goo to the trash.

I sat there for a second before getting up and quickly following him.

"Okay but like... you just used a line on me... and it wasn't bad... and then winked at me." I said, my eyes still wide as I tried to comprehend this.

"You're good at stating the obvious, huh?" Keith replied before rolling his eyes and walking out of the room.

I stood there in shock before making my way slowly to my room.

What the hell has gotten in to him and why can't I stop blushing!?

"Oh my gosh, someone please fix the air con before I pass out." I whined, fanning myself with a spare piece of paper to try and cool myself down.

The ships air con hasn't been working for about three hours now and I was starting to feel a little dizzy due to the heat.

Shiro, Pidge and Hunk were lounging around on the couches while me and Keith sat back to back on the floor.

"Coran said that he's working on it. I doubt it'll be too much longer guys, hang in there." Shiro panted.

After a few minutes I gave up. I stood up and grabbed the hem of my shirt before pulling it off. Keith stood up too, grabbing the paper that I had and using it for himself.

"Fuck, so hot!" I groaned as Keith made his way to the exit.

"Funny, that's what I thought when I first saw you." The raven haired male replied before walking straight out of the door.

The whole team froze and turned to me. I looked at the door that Keith had just disappeared through with my mouth open in shock.

He did it again!

"Hey! Don't just compliment me and walk away!" I yelled, running after him.

I heard the team chuckle in sync.

I was sitting alone in the large star slash planet gazing room that I found a few weeks ago.

I zoomed in on planet Earth and sighed heavily.

Do they miss me?

I heard the door open and close and then soft footsteps.

Looking up, I saw Keith slowly walking towards me, rubbing sleep from his eyes.

I blushed a dark red when I noticed that he was only wearing his pyjama pants.

"Lance? What're you doing up?" He asked gently, coming to sit next to me.

I ripped my eyes away from his body and looked up at Earth again.

"I miss home..." I whispered simply.

Keith hummed and stayed silent.

"It's not fair... I need it so much and yet it's so far away." I said.

I turned to look at Keith again only to find him already staring.

"I know the feeling." He said softly, his hand moving so that he could graze a thumb across my jawline.

I froze in my spot.

"You need earth too?" I asked, being oblivious in my sad state of mind.

Keith sighed.

"I'm talking about you."

"Oh..."

I pondered his answer again for a second.

"You need me but I'm so far away?" I thought out loud, my tone confused.

Keith tutted quietly and shook his head with a smile.

"Lance... I'm flirting with you." He said as if it were obvious.

"Oh."

A few seconds passed.

"Ooooh." I said in sudden realisation, a dark blush staining my cheeks.

"And the penny drops." He said with an eye roll.

"Wh-why are you flirting with me?"

"Why do you think dumbass." Keith groaned.

He turned to face me before grabbing the front of my shirt and I yelped as he pulled me so that our faces were inches apart.

"Because I like you." He chuckled before he pressed his lips against mine.

I brought a hand to rest against the small of his back as I kissed back, shock coursing through my body along with some kind of electric feeling.

Keith pulled away and blushed before looking down nervously.

"Sorry... I didn't actually mean to go through with kissing you then. My heart hadn't caught up to my brain."

There was a few seconds of silence before he laughed.

"But still, they call me the oblivious one."

I sat there frozen for a few more seconds before I smiled wide.

"Keith."

He looked around upon hearing his name and jumped slightly to see me suddenly so close.

"I like you too." I mumbled before reconnecting our lips with a smile.

Keith the flirt. Who'd've thought it.

Oof, sorry it's so small and shitty. I haven't had much time to write recently and any time that I do have spare to write I end up updating Guarded/Loving Soul.
