LANCE'S POV

I ran down the corridors, running away from... whatever that thing was! It gave me the heebee-jeebees. One of the airlocks opened and I swiftly turned to hide inside. The doors automatically shut behind me.

I leaned against the doors, catching my breath. I waited for a few ticks, making sure the coast was clear. Cool relief flooded my body when no signs of anything showed up.

"Whew, close one. Alright, open airlock doors." The doors remained shut. My brows furrowed together. I repeated my command. "Open airlock doors."

Hanger doors opening in - 30 ticks.

My eyes widened. "Airlock doors doing what?" I banged on the doors. "Hey! Hey stupid machine! Stop!" I glanced back at the hanger doors in aprehension. "This isn't funny!"

'Oh my god I am going to fucking die... oh my god... And I'm going to die a virgin! Not cool!'

Hanger doors opening in - 24 ticks

I almost collapsed and started to shake violently. "Oh my god this is NOT happening. I can't die! I-I can't!" I started banging on the doors again, hoping someone would hear me. Then, all of a sudden I heard footsteps. 

"Hey! Hey! Is someone there?"

Hanger doors opening in - 17 ticks

I started to panic. "H-hey! SOMEONE PLEASE!!" Keith suddenly fell into view. Literally. I saw him fall down and get back up, battling the gladiator. 'Is the castle just deciding to go bat shit crazy today?'

"Keith!" He turned abruptly and got hit. I gasped but he got back up and hit the Gladiator right back. Keith went all -whoosh-whoosh-I-am-a-sword-man- on him and the gladiator ended up falling down. Once Keith made sure he wouldn't get up, he turned his attention to me.

I smiled and sniffled. "Keith, buddy, I have never been so happy to see you."

"Lance? What are you doing in there?"

I was going to answer, but then the ominous voice spoke over me.

Hanger doors opening in - 10 ticks

I started to hyperventilate. "Keith y-you have t-to get me out. Please g-get me out! I can't... I-I can't-"

Keith was trying to open it but it wouldn't budge. "Hold on Lance, I'll get you out."

Hanger doors, opening now.

I gripped onto anything that I could as the doors opened. I screamed, scrabbling for purchase as space tried to suck me into it's void. Keith took his sword and slashed the control panel, making the doors open. "LANCE GRAB MY HAND!" I gripped onto his hand for dear life and he yanked me out. The doors shut and I fell beside him, panting.

After a few breaths he turned to me.

"W-What were you doing out there?" I shook my head. "It's the castle! If you haven't noticed, it's gone a little cuckoo!" Keith paused and looked at me. I was going to ask him what was wrong until he leaned in and kissed me.

I froze but got the memo and kissed him back. He pulled back and looked at me.

"Don't ever do something stupid like that again." Offended, I went to argue.

"Hey it was the castle-" He put a hand on my waist and kissed me harder this time. I made an involuntary sound of pleasure and leaned into it. He deepened the kiss and pulled me close. I kissed him back and pressed up against him.

He suddenly pulled back. "Ok?" My voice faltered and I melted against him. "O-Ok yeah s-sure." Keith stood and helped me up. "Now come on, we have to go find everyone else." I nodded mutely and followed him.

Keith Kogan. My boyfriend. My hero.
