I don't know why I'm thinking about how attractive Keith is but I can't think about it now as Miss Honerva explains "Okay students, we're gonna be doing a science project where we study about animals, what they do, what they eat, how they live and it's due on September 12" I raise my hand as Miss Honerva asks "Yes Lance?" I shyly reply "September 12 is next week, right?" Miss Honerva smiles and says "That is correct, Lance" Lotor glares "Teacher's pet" I ignored Lotor as I feel Keith stare at me and I blush and ask "Hi, my name is Lance. You're Keith, I assume" then, something happened, Keith replies "Yeah, I'm Keith" he has the most handsome voice that I ever heard. Wait, what am I thinking? I can't be thinking about a guy I just met, but Keith asks "Are you okay? What's wrong?" I turn around and see him staring at me with a worried expression on his face as I reply "A little. Let's just focus on the project" Keith asks "What are we working on?" I reply "Miss Honerva says we're gonna study an animal and do some research on it. It's due Friday of next week" we hear Lotor smirk "You could just partner with me, Lance. The new student should not be with a teacher's pet" I whisper "Ignore Lotor, he's one of the poular kids in school. In fact, he's the leader" Keith whispers "I'll remember that".

It was lunch time in the cafeteria and I was sitting with my friends having our lunch when I heard Shiro ask "Keith, are you sure this is a good idea?" Hunk, Pidge and I see Keith and Shiro with their lunch as Keith replies "I'm sure Shiro" Shiro says "Okay, I trust you" Keith and Shiro sit down as Hunk asks "Hey newbies, nervous on your first day? I get that a lot" Shiro replies "No, I'm not really nervous. Actually I do sometimes but only when I'm around people" Pidge says "I assure you, we can be trusted cause we're the Nerdy Bunch. Hunk's the mechanic, I'm the Brains and Lance is the Teacher's Pet, which we love him for it" I blush and say "Miss Honerva is just our friend, that's all" and when Keith smirks "You know Lance, you're really cute when you blush" I blush even more as I shyly stutter "I-I-I-I-I don't know what you're talking about. B-b-b-b-but now that you're here, we can start studying for the project" Keith smiles and says "Sure thing" Keith and I leave with our lunches to go outside and study.

Shiro's POV:

I watch my brother leaving the cafeteria with Lance which worries me because I just hope Keith doesn't do anything stupid as I hear Pidge ask "Hey Shiro, are you okay?" I reply "Yeah, I'm just worried about my brother" Hunk says "You and Keith didn't sound related when Miss Honerva said your last name is Shirogane" I say "I'm adopted, actually. Before Keith was born, my parents were killed in a car crash when I was 10 and Keith's parents found me and took me in. After Keith and his sister were born, I became a brother to him and when he turned 8 years old, his father was killed by a pack of wolves, so Mom had us live in his apartment and we've lived there ever since" Hunk sobs "That's a sad story" so I say "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up a story like that" Pidge says "No, it's okay. Some new students don't always have a happy life" I smile and say "I'm glad to hear that"

Keith's POV: 

Lance and I sit under the tree as he explains "This is my favorite place to study. That way no one, not even Lotor and his cronies, would bother me. Hunk and Pidge study with me here, but they're kinda busy with your brother" I say "Shiro's adopted, actually. My parents adopted him when his own died in a car crash before I was born and when I was 8, my dad got killed by a pack of wolves so now we live in an apartment with mom and my sister" Lance starts to feel sorry for me and says "I'm sorry to hear that. My parents were killed by wolves, too" and when I asked "Really? When did it happen?" Lance replies "11 years ago, I was camping with my family and we were having a great time in the woods until a pack of wolves attacked us, slaughtered my parents and my siblings and I ran away. The next morning, the police and the hospital arrived to take us home and so we live with my Uncle Coran and my cousins Romelle and Allura who work in a cafe my friends and I go to. We can take you and Shiro there if you want" I smile and say "That would be great" and when Lance asks "So, what animal are we gonna study?" I reply "How about wolves? Maybe they might not be so bad to learn about" Lance says "Okay"
