The Black Eye Incident

"Hummel! Get to class."
The older man sighed ripping the cigarette from the skanks hand, throwing it on the ground stomping on it.

"Relax. I needed a break. Chill grandpa."
Kurt puffed out the remaining smoke in his face, smirking as Blaine coughed, whipping it away.

"Nice job, you got detention."
Blaine scolded, taking a pink slip out of his pocket, putting it in front of the skank.

"Aw keep these around just for me?"
Kurt grinned taking it with his black painted finger nails, eyeing how his named was pre written on.

"I'll see you after school."
Mr.Anderson groaned walking off to his classroom, students saw by his expression, the smoke practically coming out of his ears. It wouldn't be a fun day in his class. They should be afraid of what's to come...

The school day passed, Blaine had blown up from frustration countless times in his class, Mercedes swore she saw the vein in his neck fly out. Students were grumpy coming out of his classroom, giving the teacher even more stress to add on.

Eventually Kurt made his way, clad boots and all, not a care in the world written on his expression. He walked into the classroom, letting Blaine sign out seeing who was here.

"Give me the slip and sit down." Blaine said not looking up from his stack of papers.

Kurt threw the slip onto his desk, and sat in a desk, siting back.

Blaine looked up to the frustrated teen.
"No sunglasses."
He announced not breaking eye contact. Kurt's jaw stiffened, arms crossed tighter.
"Why not?"
"It's the rules of school, you know this."
Blaine replied raising an eyebrow through his reading glasses.
"It's detention, let me be."
Kurt sighed out glaring at him through the tinted lenses.

Blaine groaned and got up.
"Don't make this difficult on you, than it has to be."
Kurt looked up keeping a stern expression.
"No."
Was all the porcelain boy spoke out.

Blaine was about done, ready to explode, he went over and ripped off, Kurt's glasses in the blink of an eye. Kurt looked up shocked, unable to really move from his sudden action.

That's when Blaine saw it.

A black eye, that was hiding behind tinted shades.

"Kurt?"
Blaine said breathlessly. His anger and frustration of the day left him. His stern tone was gone and so was the use of Hummel. "What happened?"

Kurt nodded looking down frowning.
"Um... n-nothing... it was nothing. Stop staring!"
Kurt replied coldly.

Blaine frowned and crossed his arms. "Come on, Hummel. You can tell me."

Kurt crossed his own arms and shook his head, not uttering a word.

That's when Blaine had it. He couldn't take it anymore. He snapped.
"I deal with ignorant and arrogant kids like you all day! My boyfriend of five years broke up with me because I care about my students more than him! You piss me off like nobody else! And my so call finance- that's right we were engaged- said I had a thing for you! So Hummel- I'm so done, now tell me before I give you another black eye!"

Kurt looked scared taken aback, about ready to cry, from his outburst.
"David... Karofsky.... h- he wanted me to kiss him. I pushed him and he p-punched me."

Blaine panted looking at him and nodded, letting out a sigh. He went to his desk and got out a first aid kit leaning down in front of Kurt taking care of his eye, cleaning and rubbing medicine on it.

Kurt let him, staying silent, flinching from it being sore. Blaine ran a thumb over his cheek carefully.
"Need a ride home?"
He said in a casual tone once again, tighter and calmer, eyes softening to the boy.

Kurt nodded, as if they've done this a thousand times, which they've really had. Blaine helped him up, and got his things walking out this car. They both got in, and rode in silence.

Once they arrived at Kurt's house, Kurt paused looking at Blaine.
"Um... thank you..."

Blaine nodded to him and gave a soft smile. Kurt moved and softly kissed his cheek.
"For the record your fiancé was an idiot."
Blaine looked at him nodding, and cupping his checks pressing a soft quick kiss to Kurt's lips.
"It's ok... he wasn't the one anyway." He replied parting.

Kurt looked wide eyed and nodded smiling softly.
"See you tomorrow Mr.Anderson."
"See you tomorrow Kurt."
Blaine smiled at him.
"Um... detention again."
Kurt smiled to him.
"I'll catch you smoking."
Blaine smiled softly
