Hazel Eyes
Part 1/?
Kurt jumped up to the top shelf, in a failed attempt to reach the book he desired. 100 Years of Fashion History. He was trying to write a paper for a summer internship for vogue, and he needed that book if he was every going to write about 'why Men should wear bell bottoms once again.'
He sighed out in frustration, as he blew a piece of loose hair from his face, looking up at the big book.
"You ok?" A man asked looking down to Kurt. He looked up to the taller man, about Finn's height if he had to guess. He had overly gel hair, and a red polo with a beige cardigan over it along with black jeans and boating shoes. Kurt was already in love with the way he dressed. He saw his face, tan and good looking. Sunglasses covered his eyes.
"I'm too damn sort for these shelves." Kurt sighed, trying to decipher what color eyes hid behind his black shades.
The stranger gave a soft chuckle, as he reached up, "is it the big one here?"
"That's the one." Kurt replied, running a hand through his hair. The man grabbed it handing it to Kurt.
Kurt gave a small smile and took it from his hands. "Thank you so much, My paper is saved because of you."
"College paper?" The man questioned, as Kurt could see a triangle eyebrow slightly raised from his shades.
"Yeah. Am I that obvious." Kurt sighed as he walked with the man.
"It's that season, kids have been coming in and out." The man chuckled.
"Ah I see, do you work here?" Kurt asked searching for a name tag.
"No, my friend owns the place, I help out when I'm not working, or in school." The man laughed. "But I'm guessing you'd like to know my name. I'm Blaine."
Kurt laughed out softly a pink tint creeping on his cheeks. "Well it's very nice to meet you. I'm Kurt."
"Kurt, like the sound of music?" Blaine asked as his fingers trailed along the spines of various books.
"Guilty. My moms favorite." Kurt smiled softly looking at him.
Blaine gave a soft smile as he took a book off the shelf, walking close with Kurt, as they sat on a bench in the stacks. "She has good taste then."
"She did." Kurt sighed as his fingers played with the pages. "Oh, no... Kurt I'm so-"
"It's alright. I've heard enough sorry's to last a life time." Kurt replied giving a soft smile towards him.
Blaine scuffed out a genuine laugh. "I'm right there with you."
Kurt laughed with him, "Are you in college or-?"
"Yeah first year." Blaine smiled as he opened up the pages, Kurt noticed his book, there were no words only small bumps. Brail... that would mean he was.
"Blaine um... this is pretty embarrassing question I think? But-um are you-well um... are you?"
"Blind." Blaine finished cutting off Kurt's stuttering.
"Yeah..." Kurt replied in a quitter voice, looking down practically red in the face.
"Yeah, I am..." Blaine laughed softly as he reached into his pocket, grabbing a small stick, pressing a black bottom on the side reviling a walking stick. "Hence the stick and sunglasses if you needed proof. And the brail seeing as you saw that."
"Oh geez, I'm-"
"Hey, it's like you said. I've heard enough sorry's to last a life time." Blaine laughed softly, head tilted down.
"Right... sorry-er I meant not? God I'm awkward." Kurt sighed rubbing his cheeks.
"Don't worry about it, you're a lot better than most people I meet. One ran away once." Blaine laughed a little.
Kurt frowned and took his hand. "Now that's just cruel. You're a lovely person, especially since out of all the people who can see, you choose to help me. Someone who does, should have a reward or something."
"Would asking you out to coffee be too much?" Blaine asked softly, his head tilted to (hopefully) face Kurt.
Kurt gave a bright smile, Blaine could practically feel. "Coffee sounds wonderful. Would now be a good time."
Blaine laughed, Kurt loved it, he could see how his eyes crinkled up and his adorable laugh lines. "Yes! Yes it would be perfect."
Kurt smiled and got up, lacing his arm with Blaine "I'll drive?" Kurt asked. "Sounds lovely." Blaine laughed, as they made there way to the checkout for the books, and out the door.
They arrived at the Lima Bean, and ended up talking for hours on end. The fact that Blaine couldn't see was the least of both boys concern.
