(Should I throw in some drama and/or other animals to socialize with jay? Eh why not! How about a dog? Cat it is. XD)

Jay's POV

We were settled in a house at the moment. I was sitting on the counter by Warren and Garnett while listening to Citizen Z. Nothing much was going on so I walked outside through the hole in the screen door. I saw a flicker of movement around the corner. Not on my watch. I slunk around the corner to find another cat. I remembered Dusty and unsheathed my claws incase. I tried to stay quiet until I stepped on a twig. Mouse dung. The cat spun around and we both tensed. "Jay?" They murmured.

"Hazel! I thought the zombies got you like the twins, Icee and Ivy!" I purred. We touched noses and I brought her to the back porch. Warren was yelling and in a flash everyone was trampling outside. I flicked my tail for Hazel to follow and she did. I bounded over to Tommy and rubbed my head on his leg. Hazel trailed a bit behind. "What's wrong? Tommy is nice. So is Addy, she'd like you." I reassured her. The younger she-cat padded alongside me, both of us between Doc and Tommy. Finally after walking, or running, to the car Addy piped up.

"Looks like Jay found a buddy." Addy said, smirking. She got into the car and we started driving. We stopped to try a car for gas but we got nothing. After sitting at a fork in the road and arguing we drove towards a place called Castle Point. I stayed silent with Hazel as everyone hopped out. I scrambled to the roof where I stored my prey in the spare wheel. Hazel took a mouse and we ate while everyone talked.

"So." I murmured with my mouth full. We started moving and Hazel tensed. "What did happen to Icee and Ivy?"

"Zs. What else?" She leapt down after me and we walked over to the house. We all piled in and I sat in the living room with Hazel. "What about Fog? Didn't make it?" She asked settling beside me.

"No. I met up with Reed and Princess before I met Tommy. Reed got caught by the Zs and Princess was attacked by another cat while hunting." I whimpered at the thought of my two friends from our group. "Icee, Ivy, Reed, Princess... Fog." I choked out. "All of them, dead." Tommy came in as u finished and Garnett sent him out. Hazel and I followed obviously.

We trotted along with the two humans while talking. "You never told me where you were before all this." Hazel mewed over her shoulder.

I stopped sniffing a dead body and bounded up to her. "I lived in an ally in New York. You?"

"House folk. I ran away though. All they fed me was gross slop. I always dreamed of hunting for myself. That's why I took the chance to leave when this dung started."

"What's it like?"

"What?"

"Living inside, without having to worry about being caught by the pound."

"I guess it's nice. I can't compare it to something I never did. And how'd ya get that tag if you weren't a pet?"

"Found it, liked the name, found a way to slip it off the dead cat and onto my neck."

"So what's your real name?"

"Never had one."

"So you just gave yourself the name Jay?"

"Yeah, I guess so." I shrugged and continued to trot along side Tommy. The wind whipped my black and white fur as the tornado came closer. Hazel, being so small, was almost lifted off her paws. I bit onto her tail making her squeal and Tommy turn around. The wind picked up even more until I was off my paws and Hazel was completely flying above the ground. I hooked my claws into Tommy's pant leg so we wouldn't fly away. "This is NOT fun! Tommy do something!" I yowled.

(Tommy or 10k POV)

We were just walking while that new cat and Jay started meowing and making racket. I guess they are taking? Eh. The new cat started getting lifted off her paws so Jay grabbed her tail. Then Jay was lifted off her paws and she clung onto my pant leg until I picked her up. I set her on my shoulders and picked up the other cat too. I looked at the tag quick and saw Hazel.

(Back to Jay)

I all ended up in a car that got tossed around and I was whacking the ceiling and windows and everywhere else. Tommy was holding the roof with one hand and trying to catch me with the other. We finally stopped bouncing around after what felt like moons, and I landed in the back seat on the floor and Hazel on Cassandra's lap. Tommy looked back at me and sighed with relief. "Yeah I'm not dead, neither are you. Take a picture it'll last longer." I muttered half heartedly and leapt into his lap. We got out and headed back to the house everyone was at.

(Time skip to the house. Also Cassandra won't be all over 10k cuz he has Jay. Fite me man!)

I leapt over a fallen branch and into the clearing where the house should've been. We trotted over to the group and I got a pat on the head from Doc. "You just don't die do ya, cat?" I purred and he picked me up. He handed me to Tommy, who was on a fire truck. WHOOO FIRE TRUCK! I've always seen these in New York! Why do humans always burn down their houses? Either way I've always wanted to ride one like the dogs do. I scrambled to the roof with Hazel and we both let out yowls as the siren blared. "Whoooo!" I bounced around while Tommy laughed.
