16 - Opportunity

You aren't sure why it takes you so long to realize it... To realize that having Kenma's number gives you an opportunity... It gives you the opportunity to ask him out on a date with a minimal embarrassment.

Moving fast, so you wouldn't chicken out, you type:

I know this is random but I like you... Do you want to go on a date sometime?

As soon as the message is sent, you emit a loud sigh. There, it is done. There, you have finally asked Kenma out and...

You just have, potentially, ruined your friendship. This realization makes your heart feel heavy and painful. Perhaps you shouldn't have sent that text... Perhaps you should have just kept your feelings to yourself.

After contemplating whether or not to check your phone, or to turn it off and pretend that you never sent the text, you decide to check your phone. Typing your password in with shaking fingers, you check your inbox, under Kenma's contact. Much to your relief Kenma hasn't replied (and likely) hasn't seen your text yet. In fact, Kenma's contact doesn't even show the text you sent.

Wait.

You know that the text went through...

If Kenma didn't get it, then who did?
