My name is Gene Nether. 

I don't have a exciting life.

Here's what you need to know

My parents divorced when I was small due to my mother having a affair.

My mother moved out, and I was left with my father. His name is Shad Nether, he is affiliated with gangs, black magicks, and Shadow knights.  

I am his star pupil,  I even have my own gang called the "Shadow Knights". 

My father always warned me about love.  It's petty, useless, terrible.  I believed that for a while. 

Until, she came. And turned my world upside down.

Monday Morning 8:00 AM
Gene's POV

Ugh.

Monday.

I tapped my pencil against my desk trying to stay awake.

I shifted my jet black hair trying to find something to pass the time.

Two more years and I'm out of this hell hole.
I could finally join my father.

The creaky sound of a door opening caught my attention.

Finally something excit-

I stared at the person who walked in

A girl with ink black hair walked in. She was wearing a galaxy sweatshirt with black jean shorts. Her eyes, they were as black as night, but with a bright sparkle in them, almost resembling stars. A vibrant smile.

She was beautif-

A voice snapped me out of my daze

"Class, A new student is now joining Phoenix Drop High. Why don't you introduce yourself?"

She spoke,

"Hello! My Name Is Aphmau Jessica Phoenix!"
She smiled so brightly.

Gah. What am I doing?! Love is petty, useless, perfec- I MEAN TERRIBLE.

Jesus christ, what is wrong with me.

"You can sit down next to Gene," The teacher gestured to me.

Great.

She sat down next to me and said in a over-energetic voice

"Hi! I'm Aphmau!"

Ugh, she is giving me a headache

"Tsk" I said coldly.

I could hear huff.

It was quite cut- I MEAN ANNOYING.

Ugh. What is this girl doing to me.

*10 mins later*

Finally, lunch. The only period I look forward to.

When I was walking towards the door. My teacher, Mr. Dale stopped me and said

"Gene, would you give Aphmau a tour of the school?"

"Do I have to?" I responded

"Yes" He nodded

Ugh, great.

He smiled towards Aphmau and said "Gene will be giving a tour around the school."

"Ok!" She said a little too eager.

I started walking in silence, and she started talking behind me.

Jesus does she ever shut up?

A pair of fingers snapped in front of my face followed with the words

"Are you listening to me?"

I responded with a simple "No."

"Ya know, you're pretty rude." She said with a attitude.

"Whatever Kitty."

"Kitty?!" I heard her say with confusion

"Your new nickname is Kitty. Ok? Ok." I said harshly

I heard her huff again and I chuckled under my breath.

"Alright we're here" I gestured to the lunchroom.

"But you just took me in a straight line throughout the school." She said in confusion.

"I know." And I walked away.

Ugh, she's annoying.

I walked over to my table and sitting there was Sasha and Zenix. They were part of my gang.

I got up to the lunch line and order a slice of pizza with mozzarella sticks.

I sat back down and just talked with them for a while, after a bit I heard a familiar voice say "No, i'm good."

Oh god, it was her. I turned around to see a guy with black hair and tan skin with a red jacket on.

She spoke again "Aaron I have school I can't leave."

I spoke up to Sasha and Zenix "Should we help with that?"

Both of them responded with no but i couldn't help and still watch.

This guy seemed to be a huge dick. I saw him grab Aphmau's wrist and start pulling her.

I heard Aphmau say "A-Aaron that hurts"

I slammed my hand against the table and get up.

I walked over to him and uppercut him. He immediately fell to the ground unconscious.

Everyone's head turned to us.

"G-Gene?!" Aphmau shrieked.

"C'mon, before a teacher comes!" I grabbed her hand gently and started running.

Eventually she let go and started running next to me and i took s turn into a closet. I slammed the door shut when I heard rapid footsteps starting to get louder.

"Gene! What the heck was that!" Aphmau yelled at me.

Why did that hurt?

And why didn't I have a answer to that question.

"Answer me!" She said again.

"Don't worry about Kitty." I said cheekily

I eventually opened the door to see if the coast was clear.

Long story short, It wasn't.

Mr. Dale was standing right there and said "Detention!" to both of us.

"WHAT?!" Aphmau screamed.

She ran up to Mr. Dale pushing me against the wall.

When I got back up I heard her start rambling

"Mr.daleIpromiseidjdnothingitsallGenesfaultIpromiseaopleasepleasepleaseeedontsendmeto-"

He stopped her before she could finish "Nice try, but no. I'll see you both after school"

"But-"
Once again Mr. Dale cut her off by saying
"Detention"

He walked away and I had a angry little kitty on my hands.

"This is all your fault!"

"Shush," I put a finger up to her mouth

"We can talk about this in Detention." Not wanting to face the aftermath of that I ran off. I could hear faintly her yelling at me.

What did this girl do to me?
