Chapter 7

Stargaze's POV.

The silver cylinder thing that's always full of garbage, was hit into the air. It flew towards the white she-cat that was frozen in the middle of the road.
It hit her across the head and she fell on the floor. "Run!" My mate meowed.
She had fainted in the middle of the road. The giant wheeled thing ran towards her without stopping.

"I need to help her" I turned to my mate. "No! It's too dangerous!" She hissed and smacked me at the top of the head. "Let me do it!" She jumped onto the road and ran for the she-cat. "Wait Pale-Moon!" I called, running after her. I grabbed the she-cat by the scruff and Pale-Moon grabbed her tail. We dragged her out of the way just in time, when the wheely creature ran past and smashed his face into a pole. He finally stopped running, and lots of creatures with one flashing red eye, one flashing blue eye, ran to his aid. Humans climbed out of the creatures and ran towards the brocken down creature. They held some black things in there hands that I heard once were called 'guns'. Such generous men, all running to the creatures aid.

"Hello? Hello!?" I meowed, tapping the she-cat's face with my paw.
After hours and hours her hazel eyes finally flickered open.
"What- happened?" She groaned.

Kitty Fluffpaws/ Jinny's POV.

I opened my eyes to see Stargaze and Pale-Moon standing over me. The street lights were shining brightly over us. That could only mean one thing. It was night. Tuesday night. Ava leaves on Tuesday night.

"Why is it night?!" I quickly jumped up, despite the pain in my head from the trash can. There goes my eighth life. "You were out for hours" Pale-Moon said, concern clear on her face.
"Ava will be leaving now!" I screamed as I ran through the streets. I carelessly dodged bikes and people who were on the footpath.
The wet path told me that it had been raining, but they must have taken me to shelter that I didn't pay any attention to. My paws landed in puddles of water that splashed on my fur. Ew! But I couldn't stop. Not now. The two cats followed close behind me. They somehow didn't seem like they were running as fast as me, even though we were going the same speed. It looked as if they were so used to running this speed it was like jogging to them.

I made my way towards the house. I finally got there and my wet paws jumped onto the metal stairs that led to Ava's room. I got to the top, and peeked through the closed windows. There was no one in there. No Ava. No Marsh. Not even the suitcases!

I quickly jumped down and landed on the floor. Ouch! There goes my seventh life! I ran to the garage, and slipped through the cat door. Ava's car was gone. She was gone. I couldn't give up now. I ran towards the bridge nearby. Stargaze and Pale-Moon were clueless as they followed behind me.
I ran up the bridge so I could see the over the town. The moon shone bright behind me. I looked down as Ava's car drove across the wet road. Without me. She was too far. How could one lonely cat ever make it that far. There was no hope. But everyday I watched Ava go through her problems, and have hope that it will get better, then it gets better. She had taught me to never give up hope. Because no matter what situation your in, there's always a way out.

But that was hard to believe, as I watched Ava...drive away... Away from me...
