Chapter 13

Ava's POV.

Reena and I were sitting at the dinning table. "Have you thought about putting up Lost Pet or Wanted posters yet?" Reena asked.
"I have." I said. "Still nothing."
Reena tapped her nails against the table, making an annoying click-tick click-tick click-tick sound.

"Maybe you could put it in the news papers?" Reena asked. "My cousin does that stuff, you know?"
No answer. I sat with my face against the table, and my arms wrapped around my head.
Reena lay a comfortable hand on my arm. "I will call her now. Okay?" Reena asked. "Okay..." I said in a quiet voice.

At some point I must have dozed off, because I was suddenly awoken by Reena shaking my arm.
"Come on sleepy head, the news papers are out." Reena said.
"How long was I sleeping?" I asked.
"I d'know, a fee hours. So, how do you like em?" Reena asked, showing me the papers. She put on her reading glasses which I knew she had from the amount of reading and typing she does. She read out the news paper to me, and when she stopped I nodded.

"Alright." Was I all I said. She pet my shoulder and walked out of the room, leaving the paper on the dinning table. I felt bad that I wasn't giving her the attention and kindness that I usually would, but I was just so worried about Jenny. What if she never came back? What if she was...dead?

I literally shook my head and pushed my chair out to get rid of that unbearable thought. I stood up, and made my way to my new room. It was almost completely empty, all it had was a few boxes and suitcases dumped in there.
I took out my paint brush from one of the boxes, and dug something out to paint on. Painting and drawing always got my mind off whatever depressing thought was devouring it.

I fished out a little pink heart that I got from who knows where, and began painting on it. Painting the one thing that was on my mind. My beautiful little Princess Kitty Fluffpaws. Who else?

I painted for hours on end. Finally, when my fingers were trembling from holding the brush so long, I stuck all the painting to the walls, and put the little heart, that a painting of Kitty Fluffpaws was on, in my pocket that was located on the top left of my plain white top. Right where Kitty Fluffpaws lyes. In my heart.

When I slipped it in the pocket, I pulled on a beanie and jacket.
The days would be cold in my new home. If only I could've enjoyed it with Jinny.

The thought felt like a knife was just stabbed into my heart. Jinny. My beautiful Jinny. The little white fluff ball that I had found in the pet store so long ago.
