Kitty?

James Sullivan. Hero of Monstropolis and retired scarer, but most of all, a friend.

"Ey Sully, ol' pal. Give me a call when you hear this, it would be nice to hear your voice again. See ya soon, Mike."

Sully stared at the phone after it let out that annoying beep sound. He smiled and sighed. "What a life I've had so far, huh?"
He sat back in his old chair and threw his paws back. They softly grazed against the spot that missed a catch of fabric. He grinned to himself.

"Oh Boo." He said, sadness buried in his voice. He was old and he hadn't seen her in years. He decided that he would leave her once she could remember things, because he didn't want to make her think she was crazy. The door was safely locked away in a secret room in the factory.

He had taken it over a while ago, but it was time to pass it on.

It was time for him to pass on.

He got up out of his chair and groaned. His back cracked a few times and he yawned. The poker dotted monster looked at the picture of his best friend, Mike along with his wife, his three children and his eight grandchildren.
He chuckled.

"Man, what a family."

He grabbed his key card and walked down the stairs.

The streets were so different than he remembered, children weren't playing jump rope or catch anymore, but instead they all played on they're phones. He saw a few outcasts here and there, reading a book. It made him smile that a few children were still interested in knowledge.

The fall leaves crackled beneath his feet. He tiredly smiled.

"MR. SULLIVAN! MR. SULLIVAN!"

A little excited monster boy that shared resemblance with a frog and a snake ran up to him and handed him a piece of paper. "Can I have an autograph? You're my hero!"
"Sure bud," sully took the paper and pen. "What's your name?"
"Calvin."
"Alright. To Calvin."

He handed the paper back to the little boy, who squealed in excitement and hugged the big blue monster tightly.

Sully was startled at first, but smiled.

"Have a good life bud." He smiled and the boy scurried off to his friends, to impress them all with his new prized possession.

He scooted through the halls of the old factory. They had moved to a new one, and they were planning to tear this one down, but sully didn't mind. He wouldn't be around by the time it was gone.

A grim silence hung heavy in the air as his feet scooted over the polished floor.

He decided to walk around one last time before he went back to the locked room. He slid his keycard through the slot and the red light buzzed. He pushed oven the heavy metal door and there it was.

Her door.

He smiled and tipped in a number before the light turned red as well.

Sully inhaled deeply and turned the knob on the closet door.

"Boo?" He whispered. "Boo are you here?"

He stepped inside and looked around. The room hadn't changed one bit. The same stuffed animals, the same toys, the same bed.

But not the same child. A little girl with open hair cowered behind her blanket.

"Boo, is that you?" The girls eyes widened and she shook her head.
"Oh." Sully looked sad and was about to turn away, when the girl tucked at his fur.

"Wait here." She said and hurried into another room.

He looked at his hands. And saw the wrinkled beneath his fur and the blue and purple hairs loosing their pigment.

A few minutes later the girl came back holding a grown woman's hand. "What is it, sweetie? Are you scared of the monsters in your close~" she trailed off as she saw the big blue fur-ball sitting in her daughters room.

"Boo?"
"Kitty?"

Tears came streaming down her face and she jumped into the old monsters arms.

"You remember me?"
"How could I ever forget you?"

She cried and buried her face deep in his fur. She wouldn't let go.

"I wish I could say: don't ever leave me again, but I think I know why you're her so I'll just enjoy the moment as much as I can."

Sully was just about to say something, when a tear rolled down his cheek. He just smiled.

"It's good to see you again."
