The Twins Fight

It's early in the morning and everyone but the twins are in the club room. The doors to the room burst open and the twins look panicked.

"Guys! Last night someone broke into our house!" they yell.

"What? Are you serious?" Haruhi asks.

"That's interesting because so did my manor," Kyoya says. "We had a broken window and it sounded the alarm."

"We had a window broken too," the twins say.

"I think we did too," Honey says. "Takashi's place had an injured guard as well as my place."

"I had a guard knocked out too," Tamaki says.

"I also had a window broken last night," Haruhi admits.

"Huh," Kyoya says and turns towards us. "What about you?"

"We always have windows getting broken, so I wouldn't know or not," Ciel says.

"I didn't," Alois says.

"It seems the person is out for the host club," Kyoya says.

"Why'd you have to leave a mark?" Ciel asks me, annoyed, in Spanish.

"It's my trademark. It makes things more interesting," I say back in Spanish.

"You're ridiculous," he complains.

"Geez, how many languages do you guys know?" the twins ask.

"I'm fluent in everything," I say.

"I'm fluent in many languages and still learning some," Ciel says.

"Fluent in everything?!" Haruhi says shocked.

"Yep," I say.

"We checked the whole house though and there's nothing that seems to have been taken," Kyoya says, scribbling information down in his notebook.

"Same here," the twins say.

"The only strange thing that happened was that a guard asked if we had a white cat," Kyoya says. "He said he let the cat in the manor because it acted like it was locked out. He said he locked the door behind it too. We looked all around for the cat too and found no sign of it."

"It's weird that you're talking about a cat, Kyo-chan, because last night there was a black cat in my house last night. She went to bed with me, but when I woke up she was gone..."

"You guys don't think that a gang of cats is out for the host club, do you?" Haruhi asks.

Tamaki gasps. "Maybe Nekozawa is out to get us with his army of cats!"

"Nekozawa?" Ciel questions.

"Did somebody call my name?" a creepy voice asks from behind us.

Tamaki screeches and hides behind the triplets. We all turn towards the large black door that nobody ever notices. A boy with a black cloak and a cat puppet creeps over.

"I assume you're Nekozawa," I say.

"That would be me, dark one," he says.

"Dark one?" Honey questions.

"Her aura is very nefarious and powerful. The triplets have the same aura but not as powerful," Nekozawa says and looks over at Ciel. "Your covered eye and chest are bursting with nefarious energy, with a similar aura to hers, but also combined with another."

"What is he talking about?" Haruhi asks us.

He looks over at Alois. "And you have dark energy radiating from your mouth," Nekozawa says, wiggling his little cat puppet.

"What are you trying to insinuate?" Alois asks.

"That you are dangerous and inhuman," he says.

"Inhuman?" the twins say and chuckle. "What else would they be? You're just talking crazy." They shine a flashlight in his face and he freaks out.

"Murderers! You shall see for yourself eventually! Heed my warning!" Nekozawa yells behind him, then returns to his dark room.

"Wonder what that was all about? He's so creepy!" Tamaki yells.

Ciel, the triplets, Alois, and I all glance at each other.

The bell rings for class and we leave.

~~~
"We're bored," the twins complain.
It's after school and we're currently in hosting hours.
"Then do something about it," Ciel scoffs.
"Can we come over to your house, Ciel?" they ask.
"Absolutely not," I say.
"Aww, why not?" they whine.
"Why would you want to?" Ciel asks.
"We wanna see what your place looks like," they answer.
"It's navy blue and big. Happy?" Ciel says.
"No. We wanna see it for ourselves."
"No way in hell," I say.
"Fine, how about we settle this with a game. Let's play the Which One is Hikaru game!" they say and put hats on their head to cover their hair part. They walk up to our area. "Which one is Hikaru, and which one is Kaoru?"
"You're Hikaru and you're Kaoru." I point to each.
"Uh oh, you got it wrong!" the twins say together.
I scoff. "No I didn't. You may look alike, but you're very different."
The twins look at me shocked.
"How do you know, Zandra?" a girl in our area asks. "Whenever they wear those hats to cover their hair part, it's practically impossible to try and figure it out."
"How can you tell them apart?" another asks.
"Well, Hikaru's speech and actions are more mischievous than Kaoru's," I say. "Kaoru's is more soft and calm."
Kaoru snorts. "I'm sorry, Hikaru. I don't mean to laugh."
"Well, I don't see what's so funny. I'm honest, I speak my mind, and I don't hold back. It's sneaky people like Kaoru who are the troublemakers."
"Don't turn this on me, Hikaru. After all, I'm the one who's always going along with all of your selfish games."
"I may suggest them, but you are the one who really gets into them, Kaoru. If you hate it so much, then why don't you just stop?" Hikaru scoffs.
"Because I hate to see you make an ass of yourself in front of everyone. It was your idea to call Haruhi our toy, but I noticed you were quick to make a pass at her. Admit it, Hikaru. You're actually in love with Haruhi, aren't you?"
"Hey, someone make some popcorn for me!" Alois commands. "This is getting steamy!"
Hikaru's face flushes. "Huh?"
"What?!" Tamaki yells.
"You've got it all wrong, Kaoru! Man, you're such a freaking idiot! I should say the same to you, Kaoru. How about you admit that you love Zandra?"
Kaoru's face heats up. "What?" he mutters.
"What?!" Ciel and I yell.
"Besides, why would I fall for her? I mean, she looks like a tanuki," Hikaru says.
"How dare you call Haruhi a raccoon dog! You're gonna pay for that!" Tamaki yells.
"Why would I fall for Zandra? She looks like a cat!" Kaoru yells.
"Well, you're not far off," Alois comments.
I shoot him a glare and he puts his hands up innocently.
"Cut it out, already! You're the one who's always crawling into my bed. Talk about annoying," Hikaru says.
"I only do that because you look lonely. I wouldn't choose to sleep in your bed, you idiot," Kaoru retorts.
"Who you calling idiot? You're the one who sucks at math!"
"Oh yeah? Well, you're failing your foreign language class, you big dummy!" Kaoru says.
"The way you grind your teeth is definitely..." Hikaru yells.
"At least I don't toss and turn so much that I fall out of bed!"
"Sex pixie!"
"Sicko!" Kaoru shouts.
"Your mama wears too much makeup!" they both yell. "That's it! We're over!"
They storm off and leave the room.
"Well, this is a problem," Kyoya says and clears his throat. "I'm sorry, ladies, it appears that we are having some problems we need to resolve. The club will be closed until this issue is settled."
The girls are already sobbing from the twins' fight and leave the room in sadness.
"This isn't good," Haruhi says and sighs.
Kyoya pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance. He sighs then turns towards me with a fake smile. "Don't worry. I don't blame this fight on you, even if the argument began because of your comments."
I scoff. "Sure," I sarcastically say. "I don't really understand how a petty argument like this came into affect just because I could tell them apart."
"It's just a stupid fight. Nothing to worry about," Ciel says.
"I'm sure this will pass by," Alois says.
"Overreacting is the key word here," I say.
"Hika-chan and Kao-chan have never fought before," Honey says.
"Yeah," Mori grunts.
"They've never fought before?" Finny asks.
"I've known Hika-chan and Kao-chan since preschool. We weren't in the same grade, so I never really got to talk to them, but I remember they only played with each other."
"Then this fight could be a fake fight..." I mumble to myself.
"I hate to be the one to admit it but everything bad seems to be happening ever since the seven of you came here," Honey says.
"If you want us out of the club then just say so," Ciel says. "It's not going to hurt our feelings. We'd rather be doing something else anyway."
"Nobody's leaving this club and that's final," Tamaki sternly says. "All 14 of us blend together to form the perfect host club."
"We should make a plan to get them back together!" Finny declares.
"No, with a relationship like their's, a fight is just what they need. This just means the twins are expanding their horizons a bit. We should leave them alone and let them work it out," Tamaki says.
~~~

It's the next day and everyone, except the twins, are sitting in our first class.

"Hey, guys," Hikaru says walking in.

Gasps go around the room.

"Hikaru, what did you do to your hair?" Haruhi asks.

"Why is it dyed pink?" Alois asks.

"Cause pink suits me. Don't you think it's cute? From now on, I'm the pink haired twin. I didn't wanna be mistaken for that Kaoru for the rest of my life."

Footsteps are heard and Kaoru walks in the room. Hikaru's face turns into an annoyed one as everyone in the room gasps again. Kaoru dyed his hair blue.

"Good morning, guys," Kaoru says.

"So, Kaoru's the blue twin?" Ciel asks.

"So, guess what? I was finally able to get some sleep last night, but I ended up having a nightmare," Kaoru says while Hikaru walks to his seat. "I dreamt that my stylist had dyed my hair pink!" An irk mark appears on Hikaru head. "It was so garnish and ridiculous looking I woke up screaming!" Kaoru says and starts to sit down, but Hikaru kicks his seat out from underneath him, causing Kaoru to fall to the floor.

I giggle along with Alois.

"You guys look like candy floss!" Alois says. "Now I'm hungry for some!"

Hikaru places his foot back under his desk like nothing happened. Kaoru looks towards Hikaru for a few seconds before he reaches over and pulls his chair out from underneath him. Hikaru falls to the floor. Then they both stand up menacingly with cold eyes. They each grab a chair and fling it at the other.

Alois, Ciel, and I start watching in amusement with smirks on our faces.

They continue flinging things at one another from plants to bags to vases all class period.

Haruhi sighs and slumps her head on the desk.

Apparently Honey's bunny is thrown into the line of fire as he jumps in and starts getting thrown around.

"How the hell did he even get in here?" I ask.

~~~
The bell rings for lunch.
"I'll have the A lunch," the twins say then get irked. "No, give me the B pasta and the D salad! I'll take the F capellini with the barbarie duck! Hold on, make it a foie gras in perigueux sauce! Stop copying me! Why don't you just leave me alone?!"
"Wow, fighting while still in unison," Alois says.
"I was wondering what all the fuss was about. I can't believe the two of you are still fighting. You're a disgrace to the Host Club," Tamaki says walking in with the rest of the host club in tow.
"Hey look who it is."
"Oh, I love them!"
"I've never seen them all together like that!"
Honey gets between the twins and starts to tell them off but then casually gets off topic.
Mori quickly pulls him away. "You're just making it worse. Leave them alone."
"Oh, Haruhi and everyone else! How do I expect to run into you in the dining hall?" Tamaki says.
"I was worried about those two, so I followed them here without thinking. I always bring a boxed lunch and I was just going to eat it in my classroom," she replies.
"A boxed lunch?" Tamaki questions then goes off into his own little world of imagination. "I don't don't care if my box lunch is in an embarrassing heart shape. I will eat it!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about, but it's evident that your fantasies are completely incoherent," Kyoya comments.
"Haruhi, you wanna sit here with me?" Hikaru asks.
"Ah okay," she says unsure.
Alois, Ciel, the triplets, and I sit across from them.
"So, what's that?" Hikaru asks and points to her boxed lunch. "What'd you bring for lunch?"
"Yesterday's leftovers and a rolled omelet," she replies.
"You wanna switch with me? I had to order something different than Kaoru, so I ended up with things I don't really like." He picks up her lunch and switches it with his.
"That's fine with me," she says. She looks at it in amazement and she leaves the fork in her mouth when she tastes it. She goes off into her own little world.
Tamaki comes over and tries to get the boxed lunch from Hikaru. He denies it. Kaoru comes up and sits on the otherside of Haruhi.
"So, Haruhi, is that any good? How would you like to taste mine?" Kaoru asks, scoops up some food on a spoon, grabs Haruhi's chin, and brings it to her lips.
Before it goes in her mouth Hikaru bites it. "Quit butting in. Get lost, Kaoru."
Kaoru tugs at his spoon and it doesn't come out of Hikaru's mouth, so he releases and drops his hand down to the soup on his tray. He flings it straight at Hikaru's face, but instead of hitting him it hit Tamaki who Hikaru pulled in front of him by the tie on his uniform. Hikaru smirks.
Alois and I burst out laughing.
They begin throwing whatever they can get their hands on and begin flinging it at each other. Honey gets tossed and Mori notices so he goes to rescue him and they ended up getting thrown together. Then Tamaki is thrown along with Finny and Alois. I protect Ciel.
Haruhi stands up and grabs her boxed lunch. "I think I'm going to eat in my classroom after all."
~~~

We're all now sitting in the host room without the twins and any girls.

Tamaki sighs while slumping across the table from his seat, Kyoya is typing in numbers on his calculator, Honey is swinging his feet while playing with Usa-chan, Mori is sitting idly by as well as the triplets next to Alois, who's doing homework, Finny is playing with Honey, Haruhi is lost in space, Ciel and I are just sitting there with our heads propped up on our hands.

"Looking at the numbers, if the situation isn't resolved, I'm afraid we're going to have to stop offering our brotherly love package. We're down one pair of loving brothers," Kyoya says. "Oh, Zandra, I just wanted to remind you that there's no reason for you to feel at fault for this. Even though it was your tactless comment that stared this whole feud between the twins in the first place."

I was too busy thinking to even hear him talking or to retort back. (Is there some kind of motive behind this fight? The pieces just don't connect. If they've never gotten in a fight before than, why now? It doesn't make any sense.)

The twins burst in the room and they begin throwing things, the fighting continues. Honey sits on top of the giant mountain of things they threw.

Tamaki's heaving in frustration. "Don't you guys think that maybe it's time you give up all this fighting? It's driving me insane."

"What'd you say?! It's driving you insane? He's got to be kidding me. How do you think I feel right now? Every time I look in the mirror, I see his face. I'm sick and tired of constantly being mistaken for you, Kaoru! The truth is I hate your guts!" Hikaru yells.

"You took the words right out of my mouth!" Kaoru yells back.

Ciel sighs. "I'm getting bored of this fight. I would never let you two in my house acting like that," Ciel grumbles to himself, but apparently the twins heard it.

(Oh, so that's why they had this fight!)

The twins smirk. "So, then what you're saying, Ciel, is that if we make up, we can come over to your place?" the twins say in unison and circle around Ciel like sharks. They wrap their arms around each other and put their other arms on their hips and cross their legs, leaning over Ciel. Smirks clearly spread across their faces.

"Wha..." Ciel mutters then screams.

The twins high five then do their brotherly love act. They apologize to each other.

"You've gotta be kidding, you mean you guys were faking it this whole time?!" Honey fusses.

"We didn't have anything else to do. We were bored and wanted to go to Ciel's place," they say.

"They totally fooled me..." Ciel scoffs. "What the hell is this school turning me into?"

Alois giggles wickedly.

(He must've been a part of this plan...)

"Twins with too much time on their hands... are the devil," Tamaki mutters.

(More like got help from a devil.)

Tamaki, Haruhi, and Ciel are on their hands and knees on the floor, well, Tamaki's more on his knees and face.

(Damn... this isn't good... I should've said something to Ciel, but I thought he would've thought the same thing. I mean, that's what usually happens.)

~~~
The next day the club is back in business and the giggly girls return.
"I'm so glad they made up!"
"Okay, it's time to play the "Which One is Hikaru game!" the twins say and place the hats on their heads.
"I know, the twin with the pink hair is Hikaru and the one with blue is Kaoru."
"We have a winner!" they both say.
"So, are you two going to keep your wild hair color even though you've made up? It's much easier to tell the two of you apart now."
We scoff. "No, it isn't. Today, the pink one is Kaoru, and the blue one is Hikaru. You swapped colors for today, huh?" Haruhi and I say.
The twins keep their stoic expression, but deep inside they're trying to keep in control. I can feel it. Kaoru looks at Hikaru from the side for a few moments before he closes them and returns his gaze forward.
(I know all about their memories and thoughts. I know everything about them. Kaoru realizes that one day they're going to have to separate because they aren't one soul, one body, one person... They really do have a dark past and it makes them smell delicious. Kaoru is just a little bit darker and smells even better.)
