Pet Cosplay
A fox, lion, butterfly, chipmunks, bunny, bear, bird, dragons, hamster, wolf, and a cat. Weird combination of animals you'd never think to see together. Tamaki requested for us to wear our costumes all day, which I don't mind, but Ciel thinks is annoying. Kyoya, Alois, the twins, Honey, Mori, Finny, the triplets, Haruhi, Ciel, and me of course as the cat.
Ciel and I are in the classroom of our first class with a few minutes until the bell rings to signal the beginning of class.
"Tamaki is an idiot," Ciel complains, messing with his wolf ears and tail. "This tail is driving me nuts! How do you deal with it?"
"Well, I have been getting use to it for 4,517 years, so I would think I'd be used to it by now. I think it's comfortable. I'm just happy I can release them all day today. They were begging for a little stretch."
He rolls his eyes and moves the wolf tail into another position. Students begin to fill the class and my ears twitch at the loud noise of their talking.
"When your ears are out you can hear better, right?" Ciel asks, obviously noticing me flicking them.
"Yeah."
The twins come bouncing in wearing chipmunk costumes of Chip and Dale. Haruhi comes slumping in shortly after them wearing hamster ears with hamster feet.
"You guys of course chose chipmunks just so you could be Chip and Dale. You guys act just like them in a sense," Haruhi says.
"Of course!" the twins smile mischievously.
They all come to sit down and they notice our costumes.
"Wow, you guys look great," Haruhi comments.
"Zandra, your ears and tail, they look so real!" the twins say and rush over to try and feel them.
"Touch my ears or tail and you're dead."
They gulp and rush back to their seats. That's when Alois decides to make an entrance with his large blue butterfly wings strapped on his back with antennas on his head. The snakes come in and their dragon costumes look amazing.
"So, you decided to show your true form!" Alois says, coming up to me and feels my ears.
I purr for a slight second, before realizing what I did. My ears twitch out of his grasp and I punch him in the stomach, causing him to cower over in pain. "Don't touch my ears, and if you think this is my true form then you're in for a real treat because my true form will give you nightmares," I threaten in English. "Forever."
"I've seen some pretty scary things in my life, so I don't think you can possibly scare me," he replies.
He looks into my eyes and for that split second, I show him a glimpse of my true form, using my abilities to put the picture in his mind before I take it back. He gasps and visibly shutters. His face is pale as he sits down.
"What did you just do to him?" the twins ask.
"I showed him an image of my true form," I say in English, so Ciel would understand.
"Yeah, don't speak English here," the twins sigh.
"Your costumes are incredible," Haruhi inquires.
"Thanks," the triplets say.
After taking a second look at the triplets, I discover that this is basically their true form. It's the form just before the real deal. We make eye contact and we all flick our ears, understanding that our costumes aren't fake.
"Whoa!" the twins shout. "Your ears are animatronic!"
"So are our tails," I admit.
"Are Ciel's too?" they ask, looking at his tail, about to touch it.
"No," Ciel states and smacks their hands away. "Robotic things are annoying."
"You're j-just a big old g-grouchy pants," Alois teases, trying to forget about my true form and failing.
"He always is," the twins say. "He should've been the grouchy host instead."
"Alois, are you okay?" Haruhi asks, seeing that his face is still pale.
"Y-yeah... J-just fine..." Alois gulps.
"Geez, what did you do to him, Zandra?" Haruhi asks.
"It's not what I did to him, it's what he did to me. He shouldn't of looked into my eyes," I say, flicking my ear in annoyance.
"That doesn't make since," the twins say. "How does that make him scared to deat–" they cut themselves off after I turn to glare at them. They gulp and immediately shut up after making a final comment. "Oh, t-that'd make sense."
Ciel scoffs and rolls his eyes.
"Okay class, let's start by turning in the homework from last night," the teacher says, beginning the start of class.
~~~
"Zandra! You're ears and tail are so cute!" Tamaki squeals upon my entrance into the lunch room.
Tamaki's lion cosplay looks ridiculously, exactly, like a humanoid lion warrior. Kyoya looks exactly like a kitsune. Mori and Honey look nothing like any creature from our world though, but definitely one from Earth. Mori looks like a cute bear and Honey is a cute bunny. There is nothing cute about the creatures from Hell.
"Touch them and you die," I state.
Tamaki whimpers and backs away from me before he touches my ears. That however doesn't stop Honey from touching my tail. I rip my tail from his grasp and hiss at him. He runs and hides behind Mori, who's slightly glaring at me.
"Ooo, kitty cat didn't like that," Thompson teases.
"How would you like it if I pulled your tail?" I say and pull his. He hisses in response and glares at me. "That's what you get."
"Wow, you guys are really into this whole animal cosplay. You're going as far as hissing at each other," Tamaki says happily.
"Yeah, real into it," Alois scoffs. "You wish that was the case."
"Could I inflict memory loss on Alois?" I ask Ciel in English.
"As much as it would please me, we can't," Ciel says.
I sigh in disappointment. "It'd make me so much happier..."
"My contract prevents you from doing so," Alois says in English with a grin.
I scoff. "Whatever."
"What'd make you happier?" Haruhi asks.
"If Alois didn't know us and we didn't know him," I answer.
"Harsh," Kyoya says.
"Like you have room to talk," I admit.
He rolls his eyes.
"Why are you so harsh with Alois?" Tamaki asks.
"If you knew what he did to us, you would be too," Ciel says.
"How's the bird wings treating you?" I suddenly ask Finny.
"What?! Uh, oh, um, they're pretty cool," Finny says, moving them around.
Finny wanted to feel like a real bird that could fly and move their wings, so I gave him real wings. Another one of my abilities is turn a human into a sort of demon for a little while. This means he can fly, feel, and move the wings. He was so excited. Ciel didn't want real ears and a tail, so he's just a big loser. The triplets look at me to silently ask me if they're real, so I nod.
"Are they also animatronic?" Kyoya asks.
"Yes," I say.
"They look so real," the twins say and feel Finny's wing. Finny kinda flinches under the touch, gaining a curious look from Kyoya. "And feel real."
"We paid a lot to make them look good," Ciel says. "But I obviously didn't care. I didn't want mine animatronic."
"Because he's boring," Alois adds, flicking his wing. I might've made his wings real before lunch. He didn't much appreciate it.
"You should've gotten us some!" Tamaki says.
"No thanks," Ciel says.
Tamaki rushes off to his moping corner. The twins come up to me and feel my ears. I grow out my fingernails into claws, which rips the tips of my gloves, and slice at the twins. They shriek and back away.
"Whoa! Claws!" they fuss. "You have some really long fingernails!"
"You have no idea," Alois mutters.
"Zandra," Ciel says and glares at me.
"I know, I know," I whine.
"Then get them out and change them. Ripped gloves make you look homeless."
"Ah, ah, ah, little Ciel," Alois teases, shaking his finger. Ciel's eye twitches in annoyance. "You don't want everyone to see what's underneath Zandra's glove, do you?"
"What?" Kyoya questions for everyone as the whole table stares at me.
"What's underneath your glove?" the twins ask.
"None of your business," Ciel says.
I pull out my spare gloves from my bag and change them before anyone can blink.
"That was fast!" Haruhi says.
"You know, it's not nice to keep secrets," Tamaki says, running up from his corner of depression. "Especially from your family."
"One, we aren't family. Two, personal secrets should be kept personal," Ciel states. "You shouldn't pry in someone's personal business."
"Then why do Alois and the triplets get to know?" Honey asks.
"We have the same personal secrets that they do," Alois says, taking a bite of his food.
"We don't mess with your secrets, you won't mess with ours," Ciel says. "We aren't friends and never will be, so you don't need to pry into our personal lives. We didn't even wanna be part of your club. You dragged us here. The only reason we're here is to solve a case and go back home to London."
"Except we're stuck here till we graduate," I say.
"Which sucks," Ciel says.
"I want to go back to London too," Alois admits. "This place is beginning to bore me."
"I know what would make it more entertaining!" Tamaki exclaims. "Let's go to the beach!"
"No," Ciel, Alois, Finny, and I automatically say.
"Why?" Tamaki pleads.
"Because they can't swim," I say.
"That and Ciel can't show his body because of his personal secrets," Alois adds.
"What, you have like a huge scar on your torso or something?" the twins ask.
"Or something," Ciel responds.
Everyone looks at him in confusion.
"I also have a personal secret that I'd like to keep secret too," Finny says bashfully, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"Do all Londoners have personal hidden secrets?" the twins sigh.
"Yes," we all answer.
"London isn't the safest place in the world," Alois admits, remembering his traumatic past.
"So, Ciel hides his eye and torso. Zandra hides her hands. Finny hides something body wise too. Alois, what do you have to hide?" Haruhi asks.
"I don't really... Oh, wait, there is that one time when Ciel sta-" Alois starts, but I kick him under the table to stop saying 'stabbed me.' "I mean, I have something to hide on my torso too."
They look between Alois and Ciel with wide eyes.
"Ciel did something to you?" Haruhi asks.
"No."
"Okay... What about the triplets?" Haruhi asks, turning to them.
(The only thing I can think of is the black fingernails, since the Faustian contract symbol only appears if they have a contract with a human because they don't have a contract with Alois.)
"Hands," the three reply, lifting their gloved hands for everyone to see.
"Strange," Kyoya says, noticing the similarities between us. "I feel like you guys are closer than you say you are."
"Maybe, maybe not," the triplets say.
The seven of us look at each other, knowing we have a bigger history together than normal people would ever have.
~~~
If another girl tries to touch my ears, Hell will break lose in this club room. I will suck out all the sunlight and devour this room in darkness, knock out everyone except Ciel and Finny, and scream. I'll suck the warmth from the room and make it freezing cold, burn down the whole room with everyone inside, rip the curtains into shreds, make multiple holes in the wall, and eat the souls of everyone in the school. Starting with the soul of the person who touches my ears next, then that asshat math teacher.
"Wow, your ears are so soft!" the girl comments, petting my ears.
Of course, I can't or I'd have a lot of work to do to make them all forget it. I don't like to do more work then I have to. This girl isn't a bad petter though, so I lie in her lap and purr while she scratches my ears. Ciel clears his throat and I immediately sit up.
"Sorry..." I mutter.
"Why does she get to touch your ears and not us?" the twins complain.
"Because she's not a perv like you," I state.
"Okay, that's enough of petting Zandra's ears," Ciel says.
I smack away the twins' oncoming hands from my ears and they whimper then return to their area.
"Aww, is Ciel getting jealous?" the girls tease. "Would you like us to scratch behind your ears too?"
His face flushes and I giggle along with the girls. "N-no! Do not touch my ears!"
I laugh as the girls crowd around him. I look towards the triplets' area to see if they're doing any better. The girls are running their hands up and down their tails, claiming how it feels so real. Would everyone here treat us the same if they knew that they were real and we were demons?
"Hey, ladies?" I call to the girls crawling over my 'brother.' They stop and look at me. Ciel sighs in relief. "What would you think if my ears and tail were real?" I ask, resulting in a warning glare from Ciel.
"Um... It'd be cute, but extremely freaky..." one girl claims.
"I agree. It'd be too weird for me," the other two say.
My ears flatten and I look towards the triplets, who seemed to be listening to my conversation as they quickly turn away as if they weren't. My tail twitches back and forth in annoyance. That explains my answer. Humans will never except someone different. I run my tongue along my pointed teeth in boredom. I look around the room to see what the other hosts are doing. My eyes land on Kyoya, who's hosting some girls. I smirk.
Chaos manipulation activated. I begin by having Kyoya spill his cup of coffee on the table, soaking all the magazines he was going to present to the ladies. He rapidly gets up to get a towel and I have him trip on air while on the way there. He gets himself up, coughing as if to cover up the fact that he's made a fool of himself, and dusts himself off. I give him 30 seconds before I have him trip on the way back to the table. I giggle.
Next victim... the triplets. Timber has his arm around a girl's shoulder, wiggling his eyebrows at her. I casually make his hand slip down over her breast. He quickly rips his arm away and apologizes. Canterbury, I make him spill his tea on the table. Thompson looks at both his brothers confused and I watch as a light bulb appears over his head and he turns to look at me in disdain. I laugh as I accidentally make him fall onto the floor.
The rest of my mischief ends up with Haruhi in Tamaki's lap, the twins actually kissing, Honey's cake falling on the floor, Alois farting fifteen times, and Mori saying more than three sentences. Then I become bored again.
"I liked the part where Alois almost shit himself," Ciel whispers in my ear.
"Glad you liked my little show," I whisper back with a grin.
The club hours slowly go by until it's over and we all begin getting our stuff together to go home. Everyone, besides the triplets, Finny, and I are in the changing rooms. Finny isn't ready to get rid of the wings, so Ciel sends him outside to see if my father was here to pick us up yet. The triplets and I are waiting on a few couches in the club room.
"Looks like kitty cat was causing a lot of trouble today," Thompson says.
"I got bored."
"We realized you were also a little pissed off at those girls' answers," Canterbury says.
"Maybe. Anyway, I know that you've gotten annoyed by everyone doing this today, but I get a special privilege, I wanna feel your tails," I say, taking off my glove without the contract symbol and hold my hands out.
Thompson chuckles and swings his tail around to be placed in my hands, but before he places it in my hands he pulls it back. "Only if you let us feel yours," Thompson complies.
I sigh. "Fine, now, let me feel!" I fuss. He places it in my grasp and I feel the large scales. "Wow. They're really smooth and such a pretty purple."
"Purple your favorite color?" Timber asks.
"Yeah."
"Ugghh!" Alois shouts and stomps over towards us with his shirt half off. "Zandra, I demand you change these wings back to normal costume wings!"
I laugh. "Why should I? Too easy to get caught in the spider's web?"
"Change them back!" he yells.
"Jeez, chill, Asslois," I say and twiddle my fingers to return them to normal.
He grunts then storms back into the changing room. The triplets and I laugh slightly after he's gone.
"Well, a deal is a deal," Timber says.
"It's our turn to feel your tail and ears," Canterbury says. They take off their gloves.
"I wasn't finished, Canteen," I say, grabbing back Thompson's arm and trace over the scales on his arm. Thompson and Timber snicker at the nickname I gave Canterbury. "Wow, you must take really good care of your scales." I look up to find Thompson's face beet red, either from the compliment or the fact that I'm feeling his arm.
"We do," Canterbury says for Thompson and then scoffs.
"Okay, I'm done. You can feel mine now," I say, bringing my tail to the front for them to touch. "Gentle, my tail isn't as burly as yours. Get rid of your claws." They do as told and gently pet my tail.
"Wow," Timber says.
"It's soft," Canterbury says.
Thompson, instead of feeling my tail, feels my ears. He begins scratching in my favorite place behind my ears. I automatically begin to purr, but quickly refrain from it. I look up at Thompson to see a satisfied smirk across his face. "It really is soft."
"Ass," I murmur and walk out of their grasps.
We put our gloves back on as Finny enters the room.
"Sebastian is here," Finny announces.
"Good."
The hosts finish changing and come out from the changing rooms.
"Let's go home," Ciel says.
I wave bye to everyone and leave behind Finny and Ciel. We make our way to the limo and father opens the door for us.
"How'd it go today?" father asks.
"Well, I'm going to need a looong cat scratch followed up with a cat nap," I say.
"I can help with the first part," father says.
"You are the best at giving cats the best petting ever," I say, getting in the limo.
He shuts the door behind me with a chuckle and we go home to the mansion.
