Needless to say, it was inevitable that Harry did not give Voldemort what he wished and Dumbledore came to help. However, amongst the whole situation, Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge finally believed that Voldemort was back. As soon as Dumbledore came into view the deatheaters dispersed and Bellatrix was left in an awful situation. She cared so much for Catina but she couldn't risk going back to Azkaban so made the heart wrenching decision to leave her.
Immediately, Remus rushed to Catina's side and dropped the imperious curse from her. She woke up with a deep inhale and her chest rose and fell heavily. She clung to Remus's cardigan for dear life, being in Voldemort's company was the scariest experience in the world. He wasn't nice at all. Not like the rest of them.
Remus despite his heart aching for Sirius, having Catina in his arms brought comfort. She looked somewhat well, sustained if you like, but she still was not the same girl he left on the platform on January 1st. He squeezed his eyes shut and held onto her strongly. "It's okay, you're safe now."
"I was safe," said Catina, her voice cracking and slightly muffled by his chest, "until he turned up in my room to get me. I was okay with everyone else."
The thought of the deatheaters even caring for Catina in the slightest way possible seemed strange. It was highly unlikely in his eyes but he would take Catina's word for it in that moment at least.
Bill joined Remus' side and checked Catina over. He made sure there was nothing hidden in her pockets that were cursed because he could not rule out any tricks potentially made by the deatheaters. It all seemed okay and everyone was glad to have Catina back.
All except Fudge.
"Beast! Beast!" He cried pointing at her.
With a roar Mr Weasley stormed towards Fudge. "Catina most certainly is not a beast and I demand registration for her. We didn't have chance to register her before it all got out. You preposterously sent her away with no care that she is only young and has a her whole life ahead of her! Get her name on that register immediately!"
Fudge was taken back. How dare Mr Weasley speak to him like that! He was all set to protest but when he saw the group crowd around Catina and check that she was okay, he could see that she meant no harm.
He nodded his head and waved his hand before turning away and talking to his colleagues. If it wasn't for what happened to Sirius, the group would have celebrated in that very moment. Not only did they get Catina back but they also have confirmation for her registration meaning she would not return to Azkaban.
Bill lifted Catina up allowing Remus to haul himself to his feet and dust off his trousers. Catina held tightly onto Bill as he carried her back through to the Department of Mysteries. Undoubtedly she probably could walk but Bill thought it would be best to allow her to get a head start on the rest she was set to have. Like cradling a baby, he held her close to his chest and as he walked, his thumb rubbed circles on her hip in an offering to soothe her.
As Bill entered back into the other department, he stopped thinking he should have avoided taking her past Sirius, however, when he glanced over to wear Sirius was on the ground, the man was gone. He turned his head like a mad man, his eyes grazing the room and even up to the veil in search for Sirius but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. Well, that was until he caught sight of someone emerging from behind a rock.
"You see, playing dead is really not ideal. One cannot possibly hold their breath that long and I refuse to believe those- Cat!" He hobbled over to the girl as fast as his could, his limp from falling awkwardly onto the ground when Lucius threw a jinx at him (which he silently blocked but pretended to die).
Reaching Bill's side he brushed Catina's (considerably) softer curls from her face and revealed her deep brown eyes that stared at him like a lost puppy. He took hold of one of her nimble hands and squeezed it softly, smiling down at her brightly. "Oh it is so good to have you back, Cat. When Malfoy gave Fred that snippet of information and then we had nothing else for months I was prepared to go and wrong his neck until he let you out of the bag, if you know what I mean?"
"No I don't."
"Well, you must know the saying 'letting the cat out of the bag' when some spills the truth, and your name is Cat so- haha, come on! It's funny!"
Catina shook her head, "it's really not, darling."
"But it is!"
"Padfoot?" Sirius, Catina and Bill's heads twisted to see Remus spellbound a few metres away. His eyes were full of sorrow but joy was slowly washing over that and his lips curled into a wide grin as he pounced on his best friend. "You're not dead you blithering idiot! Do you want me to have a heart attack? I swear on my life if you ever do anything like that again I will kick you so hard in the balls you will be revived from the pain! What exactly happened? We saw you drop-"
"Moony, mate, shut up. I'm alive, that's all that matters and you're not losing me any time soon. Now, where on earth is my godson?" Sirius chuckled, hugging Remus equally as tight and rubbing his back. He stood on his tip-toes to peer over Remus' shoulder and spotted Harry by Dumbledore, openly mourning for his death. "Harry Potter, how dare you not cry in relief at the breath which fills my lungs and the heartbeat that pumps blood around my body- nah I'm just kidding, come 'ere, mate!" He outstretched his (now) free arms and stumbled back as his godson embraced him.
"Bill," asked Catina, "what's happening now?"
