When Snape and Catina landed, they were in front a small house, solitary and away from others. It was lovely area, they were not far from the sea and it had a large rose bush outside of it. The front door was bright red with a brass knocked underneath the metal numbers "71".
Snape stalked the garden path and hammered on the door which swung open immediately. A relatively tall man with white hair and glasses smiled brightly as he welcomed Professor Snape and Catina into the house. He looked as though he had just tossed on some clothes but nevertheless he had made an effort.
Entering the home, Catina was greeted by the rich aroma of coffee that had just been brewed and some lights were on lowly. There were some biscuits on a plate- all chocolate - and the man ushered them to sit down.
"Please, make yourself at home, dear," he told Catina, "I'll take your bag there, the rest came by floo a little while before you. I put them in what will be your room but is actually my son's childhood room. I hope that is okay."
The girl nodded and smiled gratefully, she may not know who this man was but he certainly was trying his best and she would appreciate that, since nobody had ever been like this with her. Snape departed almost immediately leaving Catina alone with this man.
"Oh! Where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself since I saw you whilst you were in the hospital wing a few months ago. I'm Lyall, Lyall Lupin. Now you can call me Lyall or anything you want, okay? It's just you and me here but my son, Remus, visits often. He told me about you. He holds you with so much respect."
Catina felt somewhat relieved to hear that this man was Remus' father and now she could see all of the similarities. She would thank Remus when she next sees him. "I'm sorry you had me dumped on you but I appreciate you making me feel so welcome already."
Lyall let out a small chuckle, "oh trust me, dear, it will be nice to have a youngster around the house and I have always wanted grandchildren, you'll give me the chance to at least somewhat gain some experience in that. Besides, I know about hour lycanthropy and I believe I'm somewhat a bit of an expert with dealing with it all."
Catina didn't know what to say. It was always the same meeting a new carer. She became fully guarded once more and did not know what to do since everybody was so different when it came to dealing with her. "It's very late, how about I show you to your room, eh? We can get to know each other a bit more in the morning."
Nodding yet again, Catina followed Lyall up to Remus' bedroom where her bags were all in the corner. Lyall bade her goodnight and shut the door behind him leaving her to rummage around in her bags for some sort of pyjamas since she had no idea where anything would be. She came across some loose pyjama shorts and then Fred's jumper. She pulled the jumper to her face and closed her eyes. She missed him already.
Quickly getting changed, Fred's jumper swamping her same frame but only going down to her mid thighs due to her height. She slipped into the bed which she could tell were freshly put on. She balled the cuffs of Fred's sleeves up and buried her face in her hands and closed her eyes. The only thing her losing her sleep tonight was Fred's scent.
The next morning, Remus came to the house and found his father in the kitchen moving frantically. "What's going on, dad?"
"What does she like to eat? Is she allergic to anything? Is she vegetarian? Vegan? Pescatarian? Only eats potato-arian? I was not given any information by you!" Lyall hissed to him in order to not risk waking Catina up. However, Catina passed down the stairs shyly with her arms wrapped around her body.
"She eats anything, dad," said Remus before spying Catina peer into the kitchen, "morning, Cat."
Catina sheepishly entered and accepted Remus' open arms, "morning."
Whilst Lyall fixed up some breakfast Remus stayed holding onto Catina. This wasn't the same girl that woke up yesterday morning. She was a lot quieter and shy. "Let's go into the dining room," Remus said, "dad'll be in soon."
He led her into the dining room and watched as she sat closed armed and legged, she kept looking at her lap. "I swear me and Fred didn't-"
"I know."
"What?"
"Cat, you're a smart girl and anyone who doesn't believe you are blind because you barely go near anyone, you're hardly going to do that. Whether or not you and Fred are in a relationship I don't think it'll be that easy for you two to do that." He reaches out and took her hand, "and if you have had... you know, with him, then so be it. As long as it was consensual and you did it safely then who cares? You are teenagers, people do that, who are they to judge?"
"Remus?"
"Yes?"
"Am I still going to Hogwarts?"
"Of course you are, why wouldn't you be?"
"Have you not heard of Umbridge's rules? And I thought maybe Mrs Weasley wouldn't want me in the same school as Fred." She said, "I wouldn't blame her. If I had a son I wouldn't want anyone like me being his girlfriend-"
"Breakfast is served, Lupin style!" Lyall cheered entering the room with three plates of eggs and soldiers. The conversation was dropped but Remus didn't want it to end there. He would continue it later.
