For a while the house remained on edge, the children had found out some information about the girl they were sharing a house with which they were not aware of previously and so far she was the only person to ever stand up to Mrs Weasley. The gathered in Ron and soon Harry's bedroom rather shocked at the whole ordeal.
"She can't talk to mum like that! If that was us we'd have or arses kicked into next year and and a month's worth of de-gnoming the garden!" Ron exclaimed, "she's bloody mad!"
"She's probably scared," Fred Stated cussing his siblings and Hermione to stare at him in confusion.
"Of course she isn't! Snakes don't get scared, they do the scaring, Freddie," George shook his head at his twin, "besides other than Sirius' mother and our mum angry what is scary about us?"
"You heard her, she hasn't got a loving family and she is surrounded by a load of Gryffindor's plus a Hufflepuff when Tonks is here. It's bound to be daunting for her." Fred explained, "she's probably harmless compared to the rest of them, I think her friends are the ones we need to be looking out for if anything. They have family who supported you-know-who years ago. When have you ever actually heard of a Lennox? 'Cuz I haven't ever heard of one except her!"
"I've got to admit, if she really hated us don't you think she would have done something l? So far she has been nice to me and you guys, George you're giving no reason for her to like you but still. She's in an unfamiliar place and so far the only person she has really gotten along well with is Remus. Of course she would be scared!" Ginny told the group as she pulled her long red hair into a pony tail, hissing when the band snapped back onto her wrist rather than pulling through her hair.
George scoffed, "I still doubt she's scared. She's just playing a game!"
"Look, we will just have to wait and see, won't we? It's highly impossible to know what is going on inside of her head. So let's just not wind her up and hopefully she won't be bad." Hermione suggested, slapping Ron who rolled his eyes. "Ronald! You wouldn't like it, so let's treat her like an equal and go from there."

It was early the next morning and the house was sat at the table ready for breakfast which was cooking, all except Catina, which went a miss for a while. They had tucked into their food, Ginny competing with Fred for a sausage despite their being plenty to go around.
The topic of the morning was how the evening previously, Harry had been confronted by dementors and produced a patronus charm in front of his muggle cousin, Dudley Dursley. The ministry for magic had ruled it as ridiculous claiming that there were no dementors that had strayed from Azkaban prison so Harry must have done it "for show".
"It's bloody ridiculous! 'Arry wouldn't do that!" Ron grumbled, a mouthful of sausage which crumbled onto his plate disgustingly.
Mrs Weasley shook her head, "it's preposterous, just like your table manners. Dot talk with your mouth full!" The chatter died down to a low murmur after a while but the mood remained somber.
Remus furrowed his eyebrows and sighed, "not again," He mumbled.
"What's up, Moony?" Sirius asked him.
Remus but the inside of his cheek, "look around, who isn't here?"
Sirius' eyes followed the seats at the table, taking in who was sat in each seat and his eyes fell on the empty one right at the end of the table, separate from the rest. "Cat," he muttered and Remus nodded.
"Has anyone seen Cat this morning?" Sirius Questioned the table, which fell silent from him doing so.
"I haven't seen her since last night when she talked to mum like crap," Stated George, "maybe she's run off." He shrugged not really caring as he pushed around some baked beans on his plate.
Molly's eyes widened, "Oh I'd never forgive myself if she has! It would be all my fault."
"Let's just calm down, she's probably in the house."
"Her bed hasn't been slept in," Said Hermione, "I didn't take much notice of it earlier because I presumed she was up early but coming to think of it, she didn't come to bed last night."
"Right, well, our job is to search this whole house. If we can't find her then we will have to contact Dumbledore." Arthur claimed, standing up and clapping his hands together. Everyone stared at him. "Breakfast will still be here. It's not Hogwarts it doesn't just disappear!"
The group of teenagers grudgingly left the dining room, and didn't really look very well, all except Fred that was. He charged up the stairs, calling out the girls' name.
"Cat!" He shouted, looking in every nook and cranny. He couldn't understand where she could have been. Fred didn't want to find out that she had run away.
Ducking under different flights of stairs, diving into dusty, foul-smelling rooms the redhead couldn't think of anywhere else to look until he came to the last door. Pushing it open it creaked loudly, straining his eardrums and making him cringe. The stairs loomed above him, growing high and it was so dark he didn't even know if what he was seeing was the top. Bracing himself, Fred began to climb the stairs thankful for Oliver Wood's hard and eccentric Quidditch training. But at the same time regretting that he didn't keep some of it up when the inter house game was cancelled the previous year at school for the Triwizard Tournament.
The climb was rather taxing, his breath coming short halfway up. He hoped she was up here because if she want then he would have eased both his time and energy. But, Fred continued on. When he finally reached the top he was greeted with a mass of rotting old boxes where some had been soddened in the dismal but classic British weather.
"Cat?" He asked his voice quiet for some unknown reason. "Cat?" He cooed pushing past some boxes.
It seemed as if he would be dumbfounded and not find any trace of the girl, however, just a small bunch of wild curls hanging off of an edge of a box caught his eye. Shuffling through, Fred crouched down beside the sleeping girl, who held her cat tightly.
Fred frowned, for such a bold girl Carina once again looked small as she slept. She bounced softly towards her and gently laid a hand on her back. "Cat?" He asked once more, and she stirred ever so slightly.
Juno woke up fully and glowered at Fred, baring his claws which began to dig into the girls' knees. Catina whimpered and her eyes fluttered open alert of the pain of which Juno was giving her. She looked up and came face to face with Fred. She back away, taking hold of Juno tighter.
Fred raised his eyebrows, "What are you doing up here? Everyone is looking for you."
"Leave me alone."
"No can do, you've been up in this mouldy old attic over night and by the looks of things you're cold too. Come downstairs and get some breakfast."
"No."
"Why not?" Catina pushed Fred away and he fell into his gum, his arms balancing him. "Whoa there tiger! I'm just being nice, yet again, c'mon, otherwise I'll eat yours." Catina rolled her eyes. "You've given me no choice, Cat." Fred stretched out his arms, placing them around the girls' waist and hoisted her up onto his shoulders, Juno leaping onto Catina's back in shock.
Fred chuckled as Catina began to kick her legs and slap his back. "A little lower next time, Kitten."
Catina hit his back with great force, nearly knocking the boy off of his feet as he teetered on the top step. The door at the bottom creaked open and Fred could just about make out Sirius' long curls. "Is she up there, mate?"
"Right here, Sirius!" Fred patted Catina's bum causing a low growl to be emitted from her lips.
"Feisty! Me likey!" Fred smirked, patting it once more.
"Watch it, Weasley," Sirius warned, "no kinky crap in my house, do you understand?"
"Yes, Father dearest."
Fred jumped the last few steps which winded Catina and made Juno fly off of the girls' back and scurry off throughout the house away from the weird redhead. Sirius greeted Catina at the bottom, demanding that Fred out her in her feet. The girl went to rush off but the two stopped her.
"Sweetheart, is everything okay?" Sirius Questioned, his hand on her wrist.
She ripped her arm away from the man, sending daggers to Fred. "I'm fine."
"Well then, I'll just let Fred carry you again." Sirius shrugged and after took hold of Catina's waist once more. She shoved him off and apologised to Sirius, hurrying away from them down the stairs and into Remus' arms who was on the lower floor.
"Is everything okay? Where were you?" Remus asked her.
"She was trapped in one of the bathrooms, dodgy door after decades of not being in use. Come to think of it I don't think I have ever seen it used even as a child. Next time use the bathroom near your bedroom, eh, Cat?" Sirius lied, winking at the girl.
"Sure thing, darling," Catina nodded glancing at Fred who wore a smug grin on his face.
"No thank you for your lord and saviour aka moi?" Fred Asked her.
"I don't see a lord nor a saviour. But thanks Ginge."
"Ginge?! Ginge?! How dare you!" Fred cried.
"You might want to run." Remus messed up Catina's curls.
Catina's eyes widened and she darted off brushing past Ginny and Hermione who watched puzzled as Fred came bounding behind her. "You cannot call me Ginge!!? You hair-est woman!"
"Ginge! Ginge! Ginge!"
