It seemed to Catina that Fred's way of making her work to find out more about him was to avoid her completely. Other than At meal times there was rarely a time where they would have been seen in the same room as each other. Catina didn't mind really, in fact, her saying that she would find out could be said to have been an empty ultimatum after all, she didn't have any interest in the boy at all. All she needed to know is that he was Fred not George.  Or rather, that's what she wanted to only need to know.

Most of her time at Grimmauld Place was spent with Remus Lupin in the dining room because he and she got to know each other rather well when he taught at Hogwarts. Probably because of the amount of detentions she had that he had to supervise on behalf of other teachers. He grew intrigued by the girl, she led her life in a rather peculiar way. She had friends, good friends in fact and on the outside she looked like a normal teenager, there was no doubt about that. Despite her past, which he was fully aware of; a horrible, dreadful childhood that no child should have to deal with, as far as he was concerned everything about her was perfectly usual for a teenager. However, there was something underlying the surface that nobody, not even her friends knew, maybe Dumbledore didn't even know. He didn't know what it could be and he didn't even know how to start a question entailing it. It was all rather strange.

Juno was prowling around the house and entered the kitchen slyly, rubbing his side along the wall and around the legs of chairs that lined the table. "Hey, darling," cooed Catina who leaned down and picked up Juno placing him on the table where he curled up and nuzzled his head into the palm of her hand, purring softly. With a small smile spread across her face, Catina ran her fingers through Juno's deep black fur and scratched behind his ears lightly.

"I'm sorry for yesterday, I um, it's a habit," the girl muttered towards Remus.

Remus nodded his head, "I understand, Cat, with everything that you have been through it's natural to run from everything."

"I know," Catina sighed, Juno watching her with the corner of his eyes. He could sense something was wrong with the girl and was wearily waiting for any attack that he might have to initiate. After all, no one hurts Catina without going through him first.

Remus leaned over and placed his hand over hers, "do you want to talk about it? Talking usually helps."

Catina shook her head, "no, no, there's no need. It's the past, like I said. No changing that, is there?"

"No, I suppose not. You are aware that I am here if you do want to talk, Cat. I'm not going anywhere."

"You said that last time," Catina Stated rather harshly, "then the next thing I hear is that you've left because of some stupid kids in my house. You're an adult you should be able to handle some idiotic children."

"Cat, it's not the rumours or the kids. No parent would want me to teach their children." Remus retorted rather dumbfounded, he knew he broke his promise to the young girl. He didn't want to but he had to, there was no other way.

Catina clenched her jaw, "Well they don't have any problem with Trelawny?"

"Professor Trelawny is a respectable teacher, she is not a monster like me."

Catina scoffed, "You're not a monster! Far from it! And as for Trelawny, she must smoke a bit of her "lawny" if you know what I mean because she is off her nut!"

"Cat!" A gasp was heard from the doorway and the young girl's head snapped towards it to find Mrs Weasley with an unimpressed expression on her face and her hands on her hips.

"She is though! The woman is coo-coo!" The girl added, "if we can have an absolute crackhead teaching us why can't we have Remus? He's the best Defence teacher the school has had and I refuse to hear otherwise."

Mrs Weasley shook her head, "you can't talk about one of your teachers like that, Cat, it's rude."

"I only go to her lesson to sleep!" Catina told her elder, "other than that her lesson is a joke!"

"I will have no more talk on this matter, Catina,  anymore and you'll have to go to your room and I will ground you."

"You can't ground me!" Catina yelled, slamming her fists on the table, making Juno jump up and arch his back, glaring at Mrs Weasley. "You're not my mother!"

"No but I am classed as your guardian now and I will treat you like any of my children, punishment and all!" Mrs Weasley shrieked which just have been loud as her children, Hermione and Sirius crowded the doorway to watch the speculation.

Catina's face softened ever so slightly, but she stayed put. All she did was speak out about her views on a teacher! Why should she get punished for that?

"Cat, come on, calm down, sweetheart," Said Remus, walking around the table and putting his hands on her shoulders. The girl didn't move, her eyes stayed transfixed on Mrs Weasley and her fists remained on the oak wood table.

"Cat, dear, lets just change the subject and no punishment will be needed." Mrs Weasley tried to reason.

Catina shook her head, "I'm voicing my opinion on a matter that I think strongly about. Trelawny is not a good teacher and should be the one to not work at Hogwarts, not Remus. Remus should be in school teaching defence because he is a good teacher, a good man and no lycanthropy should cause a stigma and stop him from doing so. If you cannot respect my freedom of speech then you do not respect me."

"I do respect you and your opinions, Cat."

"Then why did you threaten to ground me for doing so? Why can your son be horrible to me and gets a scolding look but I get a threat of punishment? Oh, wait, I think I know why. You're like the rest of the people in this house. You're a Gryffindor-loving, Slytherin hater!"

"How dare you-"

"No. I don't understand you! Just because I'm different from you. I'm not in Gryffindor. I've not got a loving family. I haven't got much of anything but that doesn't mean I hate those who do. I hate their actions but not them. You are a kind woman, I can see that Mrs Weasley after all, you have taken me in, but you say you will treat me like your children but you don't. I'm trying to decipher your aims but they don't seem to make sense!"

"Don't talk to my mum like that!" A twin, whom Catina assumes was George, shouted at her.

"It's fine, Fred dear-"

"I'm George!"

"Yes, well, it's fine, George. Catina is right. I'm not treating her fairly. And I should be. I apologise, Cat, dear." Mrs Weasley shook her head. Usually she would be flabbergasted that someone thought they had the right to speak to her like that but this time she couldn't bring herself to. Without realising it, she had been rude and unkind to a guest.

Catina breathes heavily and swiped up Juno from the table. Storming out of the dining room, she pushed through the group of spectators and ran up upstairs. However, she did not head to her bedroom, instead she kept going until she couldn't climb higher in that house.

The attic of the house was very dark, damp and dismal. The stench was horrid and left a nasty taste at the back of Catina's throat but if it meant that she could escape the stares of everyone else then so be it. Juno, too, was turned off by the ghastly smell as he buried his nose into Catina's jumper.

"I know, darling," the girl whispered, brushing his back.

There were many boxes in the attic. In fact the majority of it was crowded from floor to ceiling with piles of boxes, presumably years worth of heirlooms and memories made by the Black family. Behind a stack that grazed the food, there was a small nook just big enough for three people to fit behind which Catina found perfect. She slipped behind them, nearly knocking over the boxes as she went but thankfully she was able to steady them before the tumbled down and created a racket.

It was rather drafty in the attic but it was better than being subjected to the cold looks from everyone downstairs. The girl tucked herself into a ball with Juno on her legs to give her extra warmth with his fluffiness. She used her wild curls as some sort of hood as she dipped her head into Juno's fur and they covered the pair and little of Catina's legs.

"Can summer hurry up and end?" She murmured to herself which was muffled by Juno. "This is awful!" Juno purred a long and low pur. "I know, I know, I want to jump out of a window as well."
