Kite's POV
Its been three days since (name)'s been in the hospital and I've been really worried about her. I make my way to the hospital when I see Yuma and that other guy Shark "HEY KITE!!!" Yuma shouted in his usually happy self. I just nod "hello Yuma, Shark" I greet them both as I saw how Shark slightly glared at me "I don't remember you needing to go to the hospital for someone" I say seeing his shocked expression "I'm off to see my sister. I don't remember you having to go to the hospital for anyone, robot broke down?" Shark shoots back at me.

A tense air starts to grow as me and Shark have a stare down, seeing who would back down first, "u-um..... Hey Shark! Let's get going" Yuma says breaking us apart "you're not going with me Yuma" Shark says. I just sigh in frustration and walk off to the hospital to go see if (name) was awake. When I make it there I go to a nurse up front "excuse me" I say quietly making her look my way "y-yes" she stutters "I came here to see (name) (last)" I said and she nods telling me to follow her. The nurse and I walk through the different hallways and pass dozens of doors until we make it to the door number: 481. The nurse leaves me as I sigh heavily putting my hand on the door knob "what do I say?" I ask no one specifically. I hear footsteps causing me to turn around seeing Yuma "what do you want?" I asked trying to hide my worry while Yuma walks to my side and puts a hand on my arm "don't worry, I'm sure she's fine" he says as my eyes widen as I look at him "how did you?" I asked as he looked at me. His eyes held worry and curiosity "your eyes back there...they held worry, hurt, and something else that I can't put my finger on" Yuma explained now looking at the door "ever since (name) became your partner I noticed this glow in your eyes" he added and I sighed. He was right. My world started to glow ever since (name) entered it. And I knew why.

I looked at Yuma "thanks Yuma" I say quietly seeing Yuma smile "no problem" he said as he started to walk back to the maybe where Shark's sister was. I took a deep breath looking at the door again 'I can do this' I tell myself as I knock on the door hoping for a response.

Nothing. No sound was heard but that didnt stop me from opening the door. The room was dark, there was a window near the bed that was against the wall but it was covered by curtains as different curtains surrounded the bed that (name) rested upon. I walk to the bed moving the curtains to see a still sleeping (name), she had bags under her eyes from maybe being up at night. My heart jumped and I held her small, cold hand in my big, warm ones as my eyes filled with tears "I'm sorry (name), if we stayed at the tower, if I told you about my gnawing feeling then maybe you wouldn't be here" I felt my tears flowing down my face as I rubbed them away with my free hand "K-Kite" I gasped and looked down hoping I wasn't losing my mind to love. It was (name). The amazing (name). The only girl to make my heart beat faster than ever.

I hug (name) as I hear her gasp in surprise. She has no idea how happy I am to see her "hello (name)" I greet as I felt the tears flowing down my face "Kite are you crying?" (Name) asks and I hug her tighter "I almost lost you, my best friend, I didn't tell you about that gnawing feeling. I'm so sorry" I continued to cry as I hugged (name) tighter, as if she would disappear if I let her go. I felt (name)'s free hand rubbed my back in a comforting way as my crying had slowly stopped, I sniffed and let go of (name) as I rubbed my tears away. When I opened my eyes (name) was smiling at me with her innocent and bright smile "do you feel better Kite?" She asked with her kind voice "y-yeah" I said quickly with a slight stutter feeling a blush to my face 'good thing its dark in here' I thought to myself.

A knock was heard at the door as it opened and a nurse came in "excuse me, but Ms. (Last) needs a few more tests before we can confirm the drugs have completely wore off" the nurse said. WAIT!!! DRUGS?!!!?!?!? I looked at (name) with a worry filled look. As if feeling my worriedness (name) put a hand on my shoulder "I'll explain later Kite" she said softly. I sighed and nodded, making my way out of the room I noticed how the halls looked dark and empty. I sit on a bench that was against the wall across the hallway as my head hangs low as I began to think to myself.

'Drugs? How bad were the drugs? Were they still in her system?'

Hearing footsteps I turn my gaze to the direction where the footsteps were. Shark. Shark sat on the bench beside me and sighed "so..... How is she?" Shark asked after a long silence "fine" I grumbled. I brought my head up and looked at the door while another silence flooded the hallway. Not one of us spoke a word, afraid about what one would ask. Being tired of the silence I asked "so how's your sister?" I could Shark shift a bit in the seat "she's been unconscious for a while and still is..... But other than that she's in good condition" Shark said as I nodded showing I had acknowledged his words. Shark had mumbled something under his breath but I couldn't hear it "did you say something?" I asked hoping he would answer, "don't hurt her" I looked at him and titled my head a bit "what are you talking about?" So many questions filled my brain. Shark sighed and looked at me in the eyes "don't hurt (name) in any way" he said but I countered back with "and why would you think I'd do that?" I spoke a little louder, watching out for my voice to make sure I didn't shout. Shark's eyes became cold as he look at me dead in the eyes "why wouldn't you. After all, you'll do anything to get the number cards" Shark said harshly. I was about to counter back but (name)'s door opened as the nurse came out "Ms. (Last) is doing well enough yo be discharged, she's changing right now so please sign these papers to officially discharge her" the nurse said.

As I sign the papers quickly I hand them back just in time for (name) to walk out in her regular clothes. Shark had already left so it was just me and (name) making our way out of the hospital "I'M FREE!!!!" (Name) shouted as we left the hospital behind us. (Name) dragged me to an ice cream store "so want to explain?" I ask eating my vanilla ice cream, (name) sighed eating her (f/f) ice cream "well..... When we were at the cafe the other day I noticed something was wrong, the air seemed to tense, and I guess the person put to much of whatever drug it was in the cake" (name) said eating another spoonful of (f/f) ice cream. Reaching over the table we sat at, I patted (name)'s head "its fine, you're alright now...we also need to keep our guard up at cafes ok?" I smile softly as so did (name) "yeah" she said. My heart leaped when I saw her smile. My world brightened knowing she was alright. I felt so at peace when it was just her and me together.
