"Is this true, my child..? Do you really not have a name..?" Toriel says looking at me, with a slightly saddened gaze. I nod and then look up to meet Toriel's gaze. "We'll just have to name you ourselves, now won't we?" Toriel says smiling at me gently, looking down at me lovingly, like a mother would. "Mom! Can I name her!? PLEASE!!" Tas begs, jumping out of her seat and tugging gently on her mother's dress. "Why don't we name her together, my daughter?" Toriel says gently, smiling down at the goat girl. "Ok!" Tas says and races back to her seat.
"Hmm.. How about Gem? Tony..? Cerus..?" Tas says, resting her head in her hands as she keeps calling names of suggestion. "I-i not sure about any of those.. Not to be mean though, Tas.." I say gently so a don't hurt her feelings. Tas smiles, "It's ok, why don't you try, Mom?" Tas says liking toward Toriel. Toriel takes a few moments to think before she speaks. "How about Kit..?"
Bam. That's it, that's my name. And it's perfect! All these thoughts run through my head and I start beaming. "Yes! I love that name! It's perfect!!" I say happily and run over to hug Toriel. "It's settled then, your name shall be Kit!" She says hugging back happily. "Gruo hug!!" Tas yells and runs over, hugging Toriel and I tightly. "It is getting late, small ones. Would you please help me clean and then get ready for bed?" Toriel says as she let's us both go. Tas and I smile and nod.
After cleaning up, Tas gave me some of her clothes to sleep in. And after changing, Tas and I sit on the floor and chat a little. I find out that Tas is 9, just like me. She asked a lot of questions about the surface and I answered her questions as best I could. After a little while of talking, Toriel comes in. "Alright, my children. It is time for bed." She says gently and shoos us into bed. Tas lays on the bed to the left of me and Toriel approaches and kisses her forehead gently. "Goodnight, Tasgore." She says lovingly, as she then walks over to me and does the same. "Goodnight, Kit." She says smiling. "Welcome to the family." She says and smiles lovingly and shuts the door.
Tas is out in an instant but I stay awake just a moment longer. Thinking about my amazing day. Where ever I came from.. I'm not going back. This is my new home. And I can't help but whisper out my name. "Kit.." As I drift off into sleep.
