Aerithyn manages to fly long enough to reach Snowdin to Papyrus' and Sans'. I can tell in Aeri's eyes that he's terrified. My thoughts are cut off by being thrown into a large amount of snow, but no major injuries from the fall. I wince as I feel the 2 scrapes on my knee and hand make contact with the snow. I shiver and stand up quickly from the cold contact. "Aeri are you-" I look over at him and he's curled up in the snow with his winds wrapped around him. He's shaking and I hear giant sobs coming from him. "Aeri I. . ." I find that I am a loss for words. I really don't know what to say to him. At least to comfort him anyway.
Aerithyn tackle hugs me to the snow, shaking even more and clinging onto to me as if for dear life. " I-I-I. ." He stutters, his nose becoming runny. "I-I-I'M SORRY!! I'M SUCH A COWARD!!" He wails in pure emotional agony. "Aeri no. . You're not a coward." I gently grab his shoulders and shake him slightly. His arms and wings constrict around me tighter, to where there is almost no distance between us. Aeri sniffs and looks into my eyes with his yellow ones. He smiles sadly, yet it looks as if it's almost a 'thank you' smile. He hugs onto me tighter and I hug back. I hear the sound of an opening door and Sans' yell. "aeri, what the hell are you doing!?" Sans yells and Aeri just hugs onto me tighter. I hear Sans' footsteps as he nears closer. 'That's not a good idea. .' I think to myself. I feel Aeri open up his feathered wing, exposing me to the cold, winter air. "is something wrong?" Sans asks Aerithyn but he looks up at me and then to Aeri. "What do you think?" Aerithyn says harshly and shoves me to the ground and flies off back to his house. 'He was crying just a second ago!' I yell to myself in my head. Sans glares in the direction that Aeri flew off in and he helps me up. "Thanks," I smile down at him and pet his skull affectionately. He smiles and says a simple, "you're welcome." and leads me back inside.
I only noe realize how panicked Papyrus' soul feels within my own. He was just as terrified as me. . I think again. And Aeri! I hear a small gasp from the stairs as Sans and I step inside and Frisk hugs onto me tightly. They look up at me, almost teary eyed, "You're okay!" They say happy and bounce lightly on their toes. Practically beaming up at me. I smile and ruffle their hair. "Frisk," I start gently, "I'm afraid we have to leave and keep going to stop Chara. ." Sans and Frisk, both at the same time, say, "WHAT!?"
