DANIEL'S P.O.V

I was so caught off guard I started to stutter.  "A-aspens friend." I finally said and he rolled his eyes before getting into the car. "You can take me home." He said and I put my hands on the steering wheel.

"You thought wrong." Austin said and I bit my bottom lip. Aspen told me this boy was a sweet Angel.  "I'll drop you off then." I said and unlocked my door. He slid in and put his seat belt. Before I could say anything he put his headphones in. "Alright then". I whispered to myself before starting the route to his house.

         He quietly thanked me before getting out of the car and rushing to his house, I pulled my phone out and dialed Aspen's number.

"Hey hey!" He said, I could tell he was out. I supposed at a restaurant.

"I just dropped him off, I don't think he likes me very much." I said. Pulling out of his neighborhood.

"He just needs some time, please. I swear Austin is a good kid, I can't physically be there right now so please help me.." Austin begged and I sighed. "Okay, I'll try to pick him up from school more often." I suggested, Aspen thanked me.

       "He's getting his license soon anyways and he'll be using my car so it's only for like a few weeks but I have to go, Taylor got his hands on some wine and he's tryi- Taylor no!" AUGUSTS P.O.V

"O-oh fuck." I groaned as Tyler attacked my neck, as soon as I stepped into the door him and Hunter pounced on me. I looked around the front room and assumed Jaybre was at his Grandpa's house. After what felt like hours we were finally in their neighborhood and I pulled onto his street. I thought Jane was away for college. I had no idea what she was doing here.

When I pulled out Hunter was screaming at the top of his lungs holding a crying Jaybre. I quickly jumped out of the car and raced towards him. He was arguing with Jane and his Dad.

"No! you let this bitch watch my kid, knowing damn well I don't fuck with her." He growled. He turned to look at me and I quickly collected Jaybre from him. "Hunter cal-"

"Don't even start, dad." Hunter said. My eyes widened at the huge bruise forming around Jaybre's forehead. "You know this bitch has a case against me!" Hunter barked and Tyler reached for Hunter. "I didn't do it on purpose!" Jane yelled, rolling her eyes at Hunter.

What case?

"Imma fuck you up." He yelled, charging towards her. "Hunter no! Jaybre!" I yelled, holding Jaybre close to me and covering his ears. His forehead was warm and I was getting anxious. "Arm." Jaybre whimpered and I looked down in confusion. "What happened Jaybre?" This caused Hunter to turn back to us as Tyler held him.

I examined it for a moment then gritted my teeth "Hunter..we should go to the hospital, I think his arm is twisted." I said, glaring at his dad who had an ice pack in his hand. "Why would you leave hi-"

"Is that any of your business?" Hunter's dad asked, catching me off guard. My eyes started to water.

"God damn right it, he's my fucking partner, they both are!" Hunter barked. "This shit isn't over, if this ruins anything. I'm burning the fucking house down with you both in it". He yelled, before heading to the car. I already was in the backseat holding Jaybre close to me.

I kissed his forehead and started telling him a story as Hunter started the car. "You both go, I'm gonna try to figure out what happened." Tyler said, giving Jane an ugly look. I nodded and Hunter sped out of the driveway. "Hunter, I know you're livid but please be careful driving" I warned. He gripped the stirring wheel but slowed down a bit. "Where else does it hurt, Jaybre?" I whispered, rubbing his head.

He pointed to it and I nodded, before I knew it we were at the hospital Hunter snatched Jaybre out of my arms and explained everything to the receptionist. We were quickly seen and Jaybre was now sitting on a hospital bed. They told us he was dehydrated and running a fever.

"I so badly wanna go back there and fuck that bitch up but Jaybre only has me an-" The look that appeared on my face cut him off. "I didn't mean it like that, yeah he has you and Tyler but his mom can't have Jaybre okay.. She..she's terrible and I can't act out or cause a scene.." He started. "I didn't say anything but I got a letter, she's filing for fifty fifty custody but she has a horrible history and even now she isn't good..". He said.

I decided not to question why he didn't tell me and looked over at Jaybre who was watching Boss Baby and eating goldfish. I loved him like he was my own and it made me livid to know he was in pain. I also needed the full story. A knock on the door had Hunter panic and in walked Doctor Adrian. I made a face as he shook hands with Hunter and pulled my phone out to text Daniel.

I texted him and explained the situation, causing Daniel too also freak out.

"His arm is fractured and will need to be put in a cast.. he's also running a small fever , he was also slightly dehydrated but this drink and some pedialyte should do the trick, I'm gonna prescribe some pain meds too" Adrian finished, Hunter balled his fist up just as Tyler walked in.

"What happened?". I asked standing up. "Jane apparently took Jaybre to the park and looked away from him and that's when he fell.. Mr. Jerson was with them and took a call and left them two". Tyler explained and Hunter scoffed. "I told him.. I told him she was no good, I knew I shouldn't have lef-".

"We're not doing that". I said, cutting him off. "You leave him with your dad almost once every week okay, you can't blame yourself". I said, giving Hunter an apologetic look. I wish I could be more helpful but I didn't know what it was like to really have a kid. I couldn't imagine the stress he was under. "Uncle Tyler!". Jaybre said and crawled across the hospital bed. Tyler hugged Jaybre and Adrian gave him a few stickers.

"I'm gonna get the other doctor in to start wrapping his arm. Hey little one, you're amazing okay, you did so good today, if it's okay with Dad you can have a goodie bag." Adrian explained to Jaybre. Jaybres eyes widened and Hunter nodded. I would talk to him about his ex later.
