The Good Luck Kiss

Nick climbed into the bed offered to him by Judy. He had already washed up and changed into the shorts he borrowed from Judy's neighbors. He didn't mind wearing the robe because he slept shirtless any other day.
Nick sighed as he noticed the window was right next to the bed....fantastic. The pouring rain had gotten louder over time and the thunder was endless. Occasionally, there'd be a loud crack of lightning that scared him half to death but he wouldn't scream due to the Judy sleeping next door.

Well...He thought Judy was sleeping.

Judy was laying on her back, blanket up to her face and holding a fake stuffed fox that she had gotten from Clawhauser a week ago. Though she didn't know why the chubby cheetah decided to buy her it, but she can't say it didn't come in handy at times like this.

Just as another loud crack spiraled and echoed through the house, Judy was out of her bed with the stuffed fox, sprinting towards the door, and out into the hallway. We can say she ran lightning fast.

(I'm dead!! XD)

Judy approached Nick's bedroom door and was about to knock when it opened.

She was met by the fox sleepily rubbing his eyes while looking down at her.

Judy looked up at him, the stuffed fox dangling from her paw as her face was streaked with tears.
Nick didn't dare question about the toy fox because he knew if he had a snuffed bunny he'd never let go of her. Er...I mean it. Never Let go of it.

"Can't sleep either huh?" Nick asked, shaking that thought from his mind.

"Yeah. Definitely not cus' of the lightn-"

CRACK!

"AHHHHHH!" They both screamed.

Nick laughed and smiled. "Do you wanna sleep with me?" He asked out of nowhere.

Judy's eyes widened and so did Nick's.

"N-no! Not in that way! I meant as in sleep next to me."

Judy raised and eyebrow.
"Gah! I mean accompany me in my bed because I'm afraid of the thunder but I won't admit that I need someone to hold and-" Once again, he cut himself off when he sneezed.

Judy laughed and playfully punched the fox. "I understand what you mean....I was kinda going to ask that too." She admitted, shyly rubbing her arm.

"Well, make yourself at home." Nick smiled to her, walking towards the bed.

"This is my home, dumb fox." Judy giggled.

Nick climbed back into bed and Judy followed. He laid facing the window while Judy faced the door. The muffled sound of lightning far away caused them to flinch.

'I can't believe she's laying right next to me..' Nick thought, his tail slowly swishing back and forth under the covers which he shared with Judy.

'what if she wants to cuddle? I'd totally do that'

Judy felt a cold but pleasant shiver go up her spine. Nick's tail kept swishing softly against the back of her thighs. She held on to the plush fox and tried to keep herself together.
Oh how bad she just wanted to-

Nick's tail went stiff at the feeling of Judy's paws around it. He was in a emotional state now. To the point were he noticed himself shaking a little.

Judy had his tail in her grasp and felt it go stiff. She mentally freaked out and was about to let go when she felt his tail loosen up. Judy somewhat smiled and began to stroke his tail.

Nick, on the other paw, was screaming in his head to just turn around and smother her in kisses. Though her stroking his tail made his toes curl in anticipation. This bunny didn't know...but his tail and ears were his definite weak spot. (If you know what I mean..XD)

Nick shivered at the soft touch of her paw on his tail. Something in him wanted to tell her to stop but something else told him to not say nothing.

"Do you like this?" Judy asked Nick which caused his ears to twitch.

"Like what?" Nick pretended not to know.

"Me stroking your tail. Do you like it?"

"Y-yeah. I guess."

"At first I thought that you might be mad-"

"Carrots," Nick said turning to her and cutting her off.
Judy turned to face Nick also.
"I'd never be mad at you. Nick matter how dumb you can be."

Judy giggled lightly. "So...Nick. No matter how dumb I am, you'd never be mad at me?"

"You could be the dumbest bunny on the planet and I wouldn't even bat an eye if you pissed me off."

Judy smiled and yawned. Well, half yawned because someone sneezed and cut her off.
"Eww, Nick! You sneezed on me!" Judy shrieked sitting up and wiping her face with the covers.

Nick sat up also and sniffed. "Gosh, I'm sorry carrots." Nick apologized, feeling guilty.

Judy looked at the fox in pity and sighed. "It's not your fault. It's okay." She petted his ears which caused him to freeze up.

"Why are you so fluffy Nick?" She giggled, grabbing his tail.

All Nick could do was sneeze again in reply.

Judy pulled his tail to her chest and inhaled then exhaled into it.

Nick blushed deeply but he thanked the stars above that he was blessed with red fur.
He laid down behind Judy, facing her back. If they were any closer they'd be in a spooning position, which Nick lived for.

Judy sighed and spoke. "Do you want a good luck kiss?"

Nick's ears perked up at the word kiss.

"W-what?" He questioned.

Judy once again turned towards the fox. "A good luck kiss. It's a BunnyBurrow tradition to give someone a good luck kiss. It basically gives them a good dream."

If he got kissed by her he'd be dreaming for days on end..

"I'm not religious. I never had a religion before." Nick answered simply.

He wanted to say yes, but if he did he thought he'd take it too seriously and pass out.

"The good luck kiss isn't a religious act or anything. Just try it." She smiled.

"Alright...But if I have a dream about carrots after this, you're gonna hear it from me." He teased.

Even though she hid it, Judy's heart was beating at an accelerating pace.

"It's just going to be a little peck on the cheek, nothing major."

Nick nodded before yawning but like Judy, he was cut off.
But you see, he wasn't cut off by a sneeze, he was cut off when a familiar pair of lips met his.

Nick quickly opened her eyes  to see Judy with the same shocked expression on her face.

They pulled apart quickly and didn't dare look at each other as their faces heated up.

"What did you do!?" Judy yelled, wiping her mouth.

"I don't know! What did you do!?" Nick yelled back.

"I just did what you did!" Judy shot at him, sitting up in the bed.

"I was yawning until you decided to smash your lips into mine!" He shot back, sitting up also.

"I was aiming for your cheek!"

"Well you missed!"

"Well you can't say you didn't like it!" She now stood up.

"I didn't like it!"

The room went silent until a sniff was heard. And not one from Nick's snotty nose.

"I-I'm sorry, okay! I-i made up the whole thing so could kiss you because God knows I would've exploded! You probably hate me now because I lied to you but I couldn't hide my feelings anymore!" She cried out but Nick could only make out a few of the words she said, feelings and hate.

Nick looked at her, blinking twice before speaking. "Judy I-"

She grabbed her stuffed fox and ran out the room, thunder crackling as she did.

Nick fell back onto the bed, letting out a depressed breath.

If only she knew how I really felt...

Good luck kiss.......hmm..

I'll keep that In mind..
