Reflections

A loud crack of thunder swept through the air, causing the two to jump a little.

They broke their kiss but one problem was that since Judy's apartment door was open, the rain water had soaked her whole living room. No big deal.

Just a flash flood came after it.

Anyway, they decided to pack some things and go to Nick's apartment for the night since Judy's was flooded. That meant taking the police cruise.

When they arrived at the apartment, they were greeted by a giant tree that had fallen onto one of the the power lines.
It was quite large too, knocking out the entire complex's electricity.

Nick and Judy ran through the rain, paw in paw like a cliché love movie scene. They ran through puddles, jumped over broken tree branches and even laughed when animals slipped and fell in the rain.

Well....that is until they fell.

They had forgotten all about going inside and out the rain, they loved it.

It was midnight, yet it seemed like morning to them. They were full of soo much energy, not even caring that people started to look out their windows.

Judy held both Nick's paws, making them stop running. "What is it, carrots" Nick asked, trying to catch his breath.

Judy's ears perked up. She then turned her head to see a nearby club had been playing her favorite song, You and I.

"It's my favorite song, Nick! We gotta dance to it!" She said extra excited, her eyes glistening from the street lights.

"Alright, Judy. But I'm not much of a dancer." Nick warned, fixing his paws in hers.

"Just follow my feet you dumb fox."

She began slowly moving her left foot back and motioned Nick to move his right forward. Judy then moved her left foot forward, making Nick's right go back.

"See, you got it! Let's try with both feet now."

Nick followed Judy's foot pattern, eyes glued to their feet as they swiftly moved around on the wet rain covered road. Nick then looked up at the bunny, who was surprisingly looking a him at the same time. He smiled lovingly as he looked into her eyes.

Like always, they sparkled beautifully under the street lights, not to mention the way her fur glowed.

She was everything Nick could ask for, and dancing in the rain with her melted his heart. She's soo perfect.

Nick unhooked one of his paws from hers and spun her in a circle with the other. Judy smiled brightly at him. "You're learning fast, Nick."

"I knew how to do that already." He smirked profusely.

Nick spun her again, this time letting his paw go, sending her spinning until she stopped. Judy turned to the fox with a grin.

The bunny sprinted to the fox where he grabbed and lifted her by her hips. He held her in the air as he slowly spun before lowering her down to his height .

Judy hopped from his arms and stood on her tippy toes in front of Nick. He laughed and slightly lifted her up so their lips were about to touch.

"WOW! Mom did you see that!" A young bear cub yelled.

Soon after that was heard, lots of applause and cheers filled the streets.
Nick turned his head from Judy to see lots of animals clapping.

Judy then looked also before her ears lowered and she tried to his her face in Nick's chest. Nick smiled at the bunny and kissed her forehead.

"MOMMY!! The fox and bunny kissed! Is that illegal?" The little bear cub said again.

"No honey, but it's unacceptable. Unnatural even, for a prey and predator to be a couple." The mom said, eying Nick and Judy before walking through the rain with her son.

The animals cleared away, leaving the couple alone in the brisk cold night.

Nick lowered Judy to the ground and was about to grab her paw when she crossed her arms over her chest, leaving Nick awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.

Don't tell me she's letting that get to her..

Nick sighed and walked with the bunny back to his apartment. Yeah, dancing in the rain was fun, but seeing his Carrots upset wasn't. He just wants to see her happy, to see her smiling.

No matter what it will take, that's his Judy. Definitely not Bryson's. Not no one's but Nick's.

After getting their stuff from the police cruiser, they entered Nick's apartment. Nick let Judy shower first so that he could wash their clothes.

Judy went into the bathroom and stripped from her clothes before turning on the hot and cold water. She sighed at her arms which was marked with bruises. Judy didn't like that not one bit.

Bryson bruised her badly and had no regret for it, whatsoever. He liked seeing her in pain, he liked being the one in comtrol, the dominant one.
Bryson didn't and has never cared for her in a more than friend way.

And now Judy had to pay for it; With mental and physical pain.

She carefully stepped into the shower, letting the warm water run through her grey fur. Judy started to think about the events of the day, (or rather night) how Bryson tricked her, how he beat her and sexually abused her. That thought made her body tense.

Bryson was stronger than her, he was bigger and more powerful. Meaning he was capable of making her do whatever he said, and she'd listen.
Only because she didn't wanna suffer the pain from not listening to him.

Judy took the soap in her paws and rubbed them together. She then grabbed her wash towel and scrubbed herself.

Though on the outside she looked collected, on the inside, she was mentally crying. The reason for that is because she started remembering what Bryson did to her....all of it.

The screaming, the crying, the begging to stop. It's almost as if she could hear it....

playing over and over again..
