"We're on the highway to hell!" The sleepy fennec fox sung.

Nick groaned. "How far is Germany from here?!"

"About two hours, sir." A sheep sitting in front of them said.

"Sweet cheese and crackers.." the fox muttered.

He then thought back to Judy.

His heart broke.

"Finnick, can I use your phone?"

The fennec fox frowned. "You can't call yo bunny. We're beyond Canada. Sorry big fella." He said while shifted August to a comfortable position on his chest as he leaned back.

Nick sighed, leaning back also. He look down to his chest. There laid a sleeping orange kit. He saw features which reminded him of himself. And then he saw features that reminded him of Judy. The twitching nose, the casual groaning in his sleep.

He began to miss his bunny even more. Hell, and they were getting married soon. Two weeks to be exact.
Nick closed his eyes before hearing a energetic voice.

"Aww, what cute babies!" The voice cooed.

Nick opened his eyes and saw another pair of friendly blue ones peering over the seat in front of him.

"Shush! Leave that guy alone, Tyto!" Another voice said.

One that Nick remembered.

"Well if it isn't cousin John." The red fox said, sitting up with Aiden on his lap.

A pair of ears lifted over the seat and the mammal turned around and saw Nick. "I'll be damned!" He cheered.

He was a fox, much like Nick but had green fur with an exotic blue swirl. He was well known for using fur dye. Nick smiled as he fist bumped him. "Long time no see, So where ya been?" He said.

"Oh I've been working on some books. I'm a writer now." John said and Nick laughed.

"You? A writer? What happened to you being all about partying?" Said Nick.

"Well..things change. I have a girlfriend now. Life's good."

"Life's real good!" John's friend butted in. He was a light grey fox with white tipped ears and tail, plus an obvious zesty attitude.

Nick raised an eyebrow. "Who's that?"

"Oh. I'm Tyto! I'm from Ohio! And I really love your babies~!" Tyto said while staring at Aiden, Auggie, and Finnick.

Nick smiled, "Thanks..I guess."

John stared with his mouth open. "You have kids?!"

"Shhhh!" A passenger across from them said.

Both foxes turned towards it before gasping. "Jarren!?" They both said.

Jarren, a black fox with brown eyes, chuckled. "Well...must be a family reunion!" He cheered.

"All y'all shut the hell up! The babies is tryna sleep!" Finnick yelled, curling into a ball on the seat.

Nick smirked as he looked up at his family. "It's a coincidence that we're all on the same plane."

They nodded. Tyto grinned, "Well I don't know you. But you seem pretty cool!"

"I'm Nicholas Wilde."

Jarren rolled his eyes, "Yeah..we all know. Police officer, engaged with kids...blah blah blah."

John punched Jarren in the arm. "I ain't know!"

"You don't never know!"

"Shut up!"

"Shut doesn't go up!"

"Explain how ovens shut up!"

"They don't! They close up!"

"Stupid!"

"Dummy!"

"Didn't I say shut up?" Finnick groaned, sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

"You did. But John insured that ovens don't shut up. They close up." Tyto said, smiling at the fennec fox.

"Who dis?" Finnick asked, glaring at Nick.

"It's my cousin's friend Tyto."

"Hi!" Tyto chirped and Finnick looked un-amused.

"And who are them?" He pointed to Jarren and John.

"Those are my cousins."

"What happened to James and Niklas?"

Nick shushed him. "We're not to that part of the chapter yet."

Finnick rolled his eyes and leaned back. "So, mind introducing yo selves." He said.

"I'm John, that's Tyto, and that's Jarren." Said John.

Finnick nodded as he closed his eyes. "You tell em bout Judy?" He said to Nick.

The red fox shrugged. "Kinda."

"Who's Judy? Oh, is she the mother of your babies?" Asked Tyto as his eyes seemed to be gleaming with anticipation.

"Yes. Judy is the mother of my children. She's very beautiful." He felt like he had to add the last part.

"More beautiful than you?" The grey and white fox asked while tilting his head.

Nick chuckled uncomfortably, "No..she's magnificent."

Tyto nodded before sitting back down in his chair. "We're going on a trip, in our favorite rocket ship, soaring through the skies, Little Einsteins!" He sung happily.

Nick turned to John, "Is he always like that?"

John nodded, "Yeah. But don't blame him, blame his past."

Nick wanted to ask but decided not to. He would wait for another time.

"Yo, Nick, what's wrong with yo kids?" Finnick asked as he constantly flicked his ears.

Aiden and August were crying and sobbing. Probably because they just got off a plane and their ears are sensitive to the new altitude in Germany. Meaning, they'll feel pain in their ears which can be very painful. Especially to newborns.

"Their ears didn't pop yet."

"Wait..THEIR EARS WILL EXPLODE!?" Tyto screamed.

Nick tried to reply but the grey fox snatched Aiden away from him and sobbed.

"Don't cry little baby, your ears will explode but that doesn't change who you are."

Nick facepawed and sighed. "C'mon guys, let's go find our luggage."

The four foxes, (not including the babies) followed him. Jarren held August while Tyto held on tightly to Aiden, whimpering as the baby sobbed.

Once they found their stuff they exited the airport, looking around like a list group of tourist.

"Ooh! John, there's Europa park! You said you'd take me there!" Tyto cheered, immediately hopping from his sad expression.

John nodded and yawned. "I will, but first let's find Niklas, I need some rest."

Nick glanced at his sons, "Yeah, and my kids need food."

"Well why don't we get going then." Jarren said as he started walking.

Everyone followed until he stopped. "Why is everyone looking at us?" He asked.

Nick, Finnick, Jarren, John, and Tyto all looked around and saw lots of mammals staring at them.

"Kann ich Dir helfen?" A famine voice asked.

(Can I help you)

It was a white wolf wearing a light blue tight fitted shirt under a black waist skirt. She smiled at them, "Hallo?" She said.

The boys stared at her before Nick turned away, a large blush on his face. "Look how pretty she is!" Jarren said, gazing at her.

Nick shook his head. "She's not that pretty."

"Lies! Dude she's amazing!" Finnick barked.

Nick kept shaking his head. I have a wife..he thought.

Not technically a wife..You aren't married yet

Me and Judy been together for a long time..

So. Now's the time to try something new.

Nick groaned as he brushed passed the girl. "Let's go!" He yelled.

"But Nick~!" Jarren cried.

"No! We have to find Niklas."

They all pouted, Well except for Tyto.

They traveled around clueless and shyly, trying to take in the beautiful scenery of the city they were in. They soon found themselves at a weird side street and groaned.

"You don't know where you're going!" Jarren yelled at Nick.

"You know what, this whole time we've been here, the only person who didn't complain was Tyto." Nick said after groaning.

"Tyto's stupid, he doesn't even know what complaining is." Finnick said.

The grey fox lowered his ears in shame and looked away, not saying anything. No one seemed to notice this.

Just as Nick was about to argue back, a red fox, blonde fox, and another fox approached them.

"Niklas!"  Jarren said and the red fox smile.

"You all look lost." Niklas said.

Nick nodded, "We are, We don't know our way around Germany."

Niklas chuckled, "Well, I'd like you to meet my buddies James and John."

"But I'm John!" John said and Niklas sighed.

"Fine. John's nick name can be JSM. That's cute anyway." Niklas said while turning towards the JSM.

"Why can't I just stay John?" JSM asked and James butted in.

"Probably because there's too many Js in the Wilde family."

Nick groaned, "Can we just get to a house. I'm tired."

Niklas, James and JSM nodded.

"Welcome to my home!" Niklas exclaimed happily as he opened the door to his condo.

Everyone gasped in shock. The interior was designed for at least ten mammals, with two pearl white loveseats, a grey sofa, a fifty inch flat screen Tv, video game consoles and unlimited supply of video games, it was obvious he could never go bored.

"Like what ya see?" He said and chuckled.

They all entered and immediately started looking around.

"Niklas, you didn't tell me you had this much stuff here!" Nick marveled as he scanned through the video games.

"Who wants to play Mario bros with me?" John said and JSM smiled.

"Not really my type of gaming but, I'll try." He said and picked up a game controller.

Nick sat his kids on one of the couches since they were sleep. He figured he find them something to eat. "Hey Nikki, got any food a baby can eat?"

Niklas nodded and sat on the sofa. "Check in the fridge."

"Which one?" Nick asked as he entered the kitchen.

"The fridge that isn't full of beers, duh."

Nick softly chuckled as he opened a stainless steel refrigerator and looked inside.

This one had a few weird looking meals.

Like what looked like potato salad, Apple Sauerkraut Salad, and root vegetable soup. Quoted from the labels on the plates.

Nick grabbed the potato salad and what looked like some applesauce before heading to a countertop. He sat the meals down and decided to taste them. Niklas was his cousin so he wouldn't mind.

Nick dipped his finger in the applesauce before licking it. He sighed in relief as it was just regular applesauce. Now he has to taste the potato salad...

He sniffed it and already knew that it had to have some alcoholic drink in it so he put it back on the fridge.

Walking back into the living room, or front room, he saw everyone occupied. JSM was beating John in Mario bros while James and Jarren arm wrestled, Tyto was curled into a little grey ball on the loveseat and Finnick and Niklas were talking.

He sat down in one of the loveseats and woke up his sons so get could feed them.

He wondered what was wrong with Tyto. He could sense his uneasiness and his insecurity. But he couldn't tell why.

After feeding the kits, he walked over to the sad fox and sat next to him. "You okay, buddy?"

Tyto didn't answer, he just curled himself into a deeper ball. "C'mon buddy, what's wrong?"

Tyto sighed before answering, "Am I stupid, Nick?"

Nick bit his lip. You act stupid..he thought. "No..you're just unique." He said instead.

Tyto frowned, "Unique isn't good enough anymore. I wanna be more than that."

"Then be it. What's holding you back?"

The grey fox took a moment to think before speaking. "Lots of things."

"Things like?" Nick questioned.

"It's hard to explain. It's hard to be happy all the time when mammals make you unhappy."

Nick nodded in understanding, "By mammals, who do you mean?"

"My bullies, my little voices in my head saying I'm nothing. That I'll never be..." He trailed off and broke into a sob.

Nick raised his eyebrow but sighed and started to pet him. "You remind me so much of my Judy. So innocent, so...open minded and unstable. But yet just like her you're different. You're independent, confident, yet at the end of the day you act as though you're nothing. One day, someone's gonna prove you wrong." And with that, the night went on.
