Happy Smile/ Sad Tears
Judy smiled happily at the brown rabbit. He had given her a bright blue dress to wear when they go out later.
"Thanks, Bryson!" She gushed, hugging the brown bunny.
"No need to thank me, Judy. It's my gift to you."
Bryson and Judy had been best friends since elementary, they both grew up in the burrows and had dreams of living in the big city, Zootopia. Though, much like Judy, Bryson wanted to be a police officer but he later decided to be a firefighter. Judy marvelled at the thought of working with her childhood in saving lives. Bryson and Judy were both at the top of their classes, meaning they had almost the same rank. But Bryson had always been a point from Judy.
Anyway, she loved her bestfriend, and he loved her back. What more could she ask for?
"So, where are we going?" Judy asked Bryson as she held his paws in hers.
"It's a surprise, and I know you'll like it." He grinned.
"Now go try on your dress."
Judy nodded and went to try the dress on. When she came from the bathroom, Bryson gasped.
"Judy, you look absolutely stunning."
Judy blushed and looked away. "Th-thanks."
"Okay, you sit here and look pretty while I'll change into my outfit so we can leave." Bryson said, heading towards his bedroom.
Judy sat on his couch and sighed before picking up her phone a browsing through apps. She decided to video call her parents since she hasn't talk to them in a long time.
Judy dialed her parents number and waited for them to pick up. Shortly, they did.
"Hey, Jude the dude!" Her dad, Stu said.
"Hi, bun bun." Her mom, Bonnie said.
"Hey mom, hey dad." Judy said, smiling.
"Where are you, Judy?" Stu said, getting closer to the camera to see.
"Oh, um...remember Bryson?"
"Yeah, you mean your childhood friend right?" Bonnie said.
"Yeah, we met each other yesterday and we chatted at a cafe. He asked me if he could take me somewhere special so I said yeah and so no I'm at his house, waiting for him to get dressed."
Bonnie nodded in understanding while Stu frowned. "You're at his house?"
"Well yeah, he's taking me on a surprise date."
They talked some more until Bryson came out of his bedroom wearing a white short sleeve shirt with a black blazer and black suit pants. He walked to Judy, fixing his tie.
"Here's Bryson." Judy said, handing her phone to him.
"H-hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hopps." Bryson greeted them.
"Bryson hunny, it's nice to see you." Bonnie said.
"Same to you. So how's your day been going?" He asked.
"Good, actually. We just heard you're taking Judy on a surprise date."
Bryson chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his head with his open paw. "Yeah, she's very beautiful."
Judy watched him and blushed deeply.
"Promise me you'll keep my daughter safe?" Stu said, glaring at the camera.
"I promise, Mr.Hopps "
After they were done talking, Judy and Bryson left the house and started walking on the side walk, arms linked, and smiles on both of their faces.
Judy loved the city at night. It was gleaming and was indeed a blissful sight. She loved how Zootopia was awake at night, how animals attended their daily lives without a care in the world.
Free.
Judy felt free. As if the wind could sweep her off her feet and she'd be flying over the city, paw in paw with her favorite fox....
I meant, bunny...(sigh)
Anyway, they had been walking when the wind started to blow, also blowing Judy's slightly loose dress. She held her dress down as the wind picked up.
Bryson laughed at the bunny and spoke. "Need any help with that?"
Judy blushed and stood behind the brown rabbit. "Just keep walking."
He walked in front of her like a shield to the wind. Soon they made it to their destination which was a fancy restaurant called Tonio's Cuisine Fine Dining.
Bryson led Judy inside and to the waitress with the guess menu.
"Hello, sir. What are your names."
"Bryson Savage and Judy Hopps. Bryson said.
The waitress looked at her list and smiled. "Oh, yeah. Table for two right?"
Bryson and Judy nodded.
"Great! Right this way." She handed her list to another waitress as she led them to their table.
Judy's eyes lit up with excitement as they wandered around the restaurant. Her smile couldn't get any bigger than it already was.
As they sat at their table, Bryson picked up a menu. "Go ahead, look for anything you want."
Judy's ears perked up. "How are you going to pay for this? All this food is expensive."
"Judy, calm down. I have connections." Bryson grinned.
"O-okay."

Nick stirred in his sleep and groaned as his phone rung loudly. He slowly opened his tear crusted eyes and rub them. Nick then sat up on his couch and yawned.
He looked for his phone to find it on the floor with the screen cracked.
Nick gasped and jumped off the couch in a hurry to see if his phone was okay. He was lucky that it still worked and answered the phone call.
"Hello?" He said in a sleep covered voice.
"Nick!" The deep voice on the other line screamed.
"Finnick, what happened?"
"I..uh, I got jumped. Someone stole the van."
Nick frowned. "Well are you okay?"
"Yeah. I just need a ride to my cousin's house." Finnick sadly said.
"Alright, where are you?"
"On the corner of Sahara square, I'm on BearField road."
"Okay, I'll be there shortly."
Nick hung up the phone and sighed. He felt a small pain in his chest but chose to ignore it.
He got up off the couch and went to walk to his room when something sharp hit his foot. The fox looked down at his feet and noticed he was standing in a puddle of broken amethyst. (More like a sea of broken heart)
The events from yesterday finally came to his mind, he had thrown his necklace to the ground, cried and screamed, pissed off his neighbors, and lost the one person he loved the most.
Wow.
The pain in Nick's chest came back as he recalled the events. He made his way over the broken gems and to his bedroom.
Nick took a shower, dried his fur, and got dressed. He almost forgot to grab his phone on the way out the door. Nick stopped on the way out the door when his phone vibrated. He unlocked his phone and saw he had a notification from instapaw.
Carrots Hopps has blocked you.
Nick dropped his phone and closed his apartment door, not even caring if it broke because for the third time this week, his heart already had.
He felt his bottom lip quiver as he held in tears.
Stop it, Nick. She's gone, stolen by a.....a rabbit.
She's gone..
Nick repeated in his head, breathing in and out to calm himself. It worked...Well, slightly.
Nick got in his car and drove to where he could pick up Finnick.
I feel like I'm losing my sanity..
Nick sighed as he turned down a street to see the fennec fox standing by a stop sign. He pulled up to Finnick and unlocked go's door so that he could get in.
Finnick got in the car and closed the door. "What happened to you?" Finnick asked.
"What do you mean?"
"I can sense that your upset, tell me why."
Nick told his whole story to Finnick while driving. At some parts, Nick cried but Finnick said nothing about it. He was definitely not aware that Nick could get soo emotional. But he did.
They soon arrived to Finnick's cousin's house. Nick and Finnick shared their goodbyes before he drove off.
Nick could've sworn he saw Judy and that bunny walking into a restaurant. No...please no..
Nick felt another pain in his heart but once again, ignored it.
No...Judy why'd you have to go..
Why....?
