"Alright, c'mon you little stinkers. Get out and get going." Nick said as he motioned his paws towards the outside of the car, in a way, telling the kits to move out.

They've been in school for three years already. This will be their fourth year going.

"Daddy why do we have to go here every year?" Aleah whined as she dragged herself to the front steps of the elementary school.

"Because you have to go every year."

"Why?"

"To get smart."

"Why?"

"So you can go to college."

"Why?"

"So that after college you get a good job."

"Why?"

"Say why again and I'll take my fist and show you why." The fox growled and Aleah zipped her lips and nodded.

"Nick.." Judy muttered, placing a paw on his shoulder.

"What?" He answered, yawning at the same time. "Don't joke like that to the kids, they could take that seriously." She warned.

The fox sucked his teeth. "Leah, would daddy ever punch you?"

The little girl tilted her head, as if in deep though. "It depends.." She started, tapping her chin with her finger. "How many pieces of candy do I get?"

"None. Now answer, little lady."

"Nope."

"Why not?"

"Because I can."

"Why?"

"I need candy."

"Why?"

"So I can eat during class."

"Why?"

"So I won't be hungry."

"Why?"

"Daddy stop saying why!" She pouted, stomping her foot.
Nick chuckled to himself. "You did it to me."

"Well I look better doing it." She stated, sitting on the elementary school stairs.

Judy sighed, picking up August and setting him on the steps as well. Aiden was already out.

"Why do we have to wear these?" Aiden stretched the tiny tie from around his neck.

They went to a private school. Mostly because mammals there didn't really care about nothing but education. Which really took a huge weight of of the interspecies couple and their fear of their children being bullied.

"You have to wear uniforms because you just have to." August butted in while Judy was fixing his collar.

"How come Leah doesn't have to wear-" he pulled his tie again-"A dumb string around her neck!?" Aiden complained.

Nick groaned, crouching down in front of the smaller fox and pulled his tie, choking him for at leat two seconds. He let out a yelp before Nick silenced him with a "Shut up." He said and then stood up.

Aiden rubbed his neck, growling.

"Nick, why are you so rude today?" Judy laughed, moving to fix Aleah's skirt.

"I'm not mean, just sly." Nick said, petting Aiden on the head. "Sorry son. Love you, though."

Aiden rolled his eyes and headed for the elementary school steps as well as August.

"Alright guys-"

"Ima gurl ova here!"

"Guys and girl-"

"Gurl."

"Girl."

"No. Gurl. G-U-R-L."

"Oooohhh. Okay. Guys and gurl. " Judy nodded in a assuring way.

"Love you guys and gurl. Have a great day and I'll see you three soon." Nick concluded, hugging them all at once.

"Bye daddy!" Both Aleah and August said, hugging their father back. Aiden stood in silence.

"Make friends, have fun." Judy added, hugging them all once it was her turn.

"Aiden.." Nick knelt in front of him, "I'm sorry for choking you. And I promise if you have a good day I'll watch a full season of that cop show with you. Deal?"

The eight year old cracked a smile. "Deal. Bye dad." He hugged him. "Bye Aiden, bye kids!" Nick waved.

The kits walked into their school building, leaving the parents alone.

"I'm gonna miss my babies.." Judy muttered, placing a paw to her mouth. Nick hugged her for comfort. "They're in third grade now, they're growing up, fluff."

"I know. It's just sad to see them go."

They made their way to the car and when the drove out of the school parking lot they erupted in laughter.

"Pfft, they really thought we'd miss them!? This is our only free time without them!" Nick laughed while Judy nodded.

"They really think I was a gonna cry over them leaving, I was gonna cry tears of joy!" She chuckled while driving.

"God and did you see that picture August drew of us?"

"The one of the potato with arms?"

"Yeah. I was upset that he didn't even add my legs! He could've at least got the fur Color right! It's brownish orange, not red!" They both exploded in laughter.

"And did you see the way Aleah drew me, I didn't know I had elephant ears! She at least could've made my feet smaller, like do I look like a platypus?" Judy laughed, barely able to contain control.

Nick caught his breath and sighed. "At least Auggie can kinda draw. His noses are a bit off but at least he doesn't draw potato people."

Judy nodded in agreement. "Are we horrible parents?"

The fox leaned back in his seat. "I threaten to punch my kids daily, nearly strangled my son and I teach them how to hold a gun. We're awesome parents."

"The best parents."

"Possibly. Hey whiskers, you have any handcuffs?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Remember our talk about the handcuffs and the back of the cruiser-"

"No Nick. Absolutely not."

"Why?"

"Because I said so."

"Why?"

"We could get fired and I could get pregnant."

"Whyyy...?"

"Because messing with you, anything could happen."

"Whyyyyyy?"

"The circle of love life, sweetheart."
