A wake up call
A figure stood tall and firm in front of a chair that was positioned backstage of some type of event. Occupying said chair was no other than Judy Hopps, who looked to be in a lot of pain, seeing how she was handcuffed to the figure. Judy had multiple bruises on her arms and wrists, most of the bruises looked to be rope burns.
The figure in front of her grinned. "You better make me big money, Judith."
Judy spit at the figure and growled. "You're gonna pay for this, Bryson! You're cruel and I should've never even-"
A slap to the face silenced the grey bunny. "You could've easily stayed with your fox, Judy. But you decided to fall for me."
Bryson yanked Judy up by the handcuffs and she let out a yelp.
He took his other paw and caressed her cheek.
"..why? Because you're stupid. I could tell you that you mean the world to me and you'll believe it. Hell, I can tell you that unicorns are real and you'd believe it; because you're stupid."
Judy smacked his paw away. "Let me go!" She demanded.
Bryson chuckled and motion her to follow him as he walked. She had no choice, other wise he'd be dragging her like he did earlier.
Judy trudged behind the brown rabbit. "Ya know," Bryson said in a attempt to start a conversation.
"I don't want to hurt you. All you had to do was be a good girl and maybe I would've let you go alive. Now I'm thinking second thoughts."
Judy's eyes widened and she stared at Bryson. She knew she had to at least persuade him into thinking she'll be good. "I-if I cooperate, will you let me go?"
Bryson nodded. "Just be my good girl and I'll let you leave."
Soon, they reached a door and Bryson pulled out his keys to unlock it. It was the room she had been in before, one sofa, TV, no widows, and a coffee table.
Bryson locked the door once they were inside and turned to Judy.
He unlocked the cuff from his paw and secured it around both of Judy's paws. "Hm, I'd say you don't have to change your outfit because you're already in dress, so I'll just tell them we're ready to go."
"Wait, who is them?" Judy said.
Bryson ignored her question and dialed a number. The number answered and he talked to the mammal on the other line for about five minutes before hanging up. "Alright Judy, let's get some pictures and set you up for the auction."
"Auction!?" Judy nearly shrieked.
"Yeah, my brother's coming to take pictures."
"I don't want to be in a auction!" Judy ran for the door even if her paws were cuffed behind her.
Bryson pulled her back by the rim of dress and growled at her. "Bad girl! You're supposed to stay put!"
Judy bit his finger and he sighed. "Alright, I'm done being the nice bunny."
Bryson cornered Judy in the corner of the room with a smirk on his face. "This is so you think won't think about leaving again!"
In that moment, Judy feared the worst. "Nick!" Her helpless scream yelped out.
XXXX
Nick finished watching the security cameras and yawned. It was almost 8:30 pm and still no sign of Judy. On the security footage, Nick saw Judy and Bryson walk out of the restaurant, heading for the parking lot. As soon as they arrived at the parking lot, the camera went static and came on a minute later when a black truck was speeding off. Nick was able to catch the license plate number and took it to the DMV. Surprisingly, Nick left the DMV at 11:00.
He drove sleepily down the road, dozing off from time to time. Nick tried to keep himself awake at least until he reached his apartment.
Nick's eye lids fell heavy and his eyes began to close. His body felt limp against the front of the car until a loud ear piercing scream was heard.
"Nick!"
He sprung up and saw a semi truck driving towards him. Nick gripped the wheel tightly and quickly turned the car out of range from the truck.
Nick's car drifted on the road with loud screeches and soon came to a stop on the side. Eyes widened, Nick looked around to make sure he didn't hit anything before he dropped his head in his paws.
That felt soo real, sounded soo real..
Nick breathed heavily, still in shock. He felt himself shaking with soo much adrenaline.
T-that voice, was it Judy?
No. That's impossible! They're both in different places, but at the same time. Nick thought he was going crazy, hearing voices inside his head?
That had to have been a sign or something..I heard her voice clear as day.
Nick sat back up and wiped sweat from his eyebrow as he regained his right mind. Once that was taken care of, he started his car again and immediately drove to his apartment. He'd go to the station to file his evidence, tomorrow.
XXXX
Nick plopped down on his bed and sighed. His emotions about Judy were eating him up.
He couldn't tell if he liked her or if he hates her, his on emotions were killing him. But he thought back to what Kevin said.
If Nick cared for Judy he'd make sure she's safe and protected because of that. He thinks he loved her, but you can't choose basing off of thinks.
A call to his phone interrupted him. He answered the call.
"Hello?" He said.
"Is this officer Wilde, from the ZPD?" The voice on the other line said.
"Uh..yeah. Why are you calling?" Nick asked.
The line went silent for a moment before it answered. "This is Agent Jackson Savage..."
"I uh.....I have a possible lead on the case of officer Hopps.."
Nick sat up. "What do you mean?"
"I know where she is...meet me at the coffee shop on the the corner of Savannah central, just off the jungle district."
Nick grabbed a note pad and wrote down the location.
Wait...what if it's a set up?
"How am I sure your not trying to set me up?"
"If you really cared for your partner you'd come, regardless if I was setting you up on not. I promise you officer, I would never set you up for a matter soo important as an officer missing."
Should I?..
Should I trust Agent Jackson?..
