Eisuke - three
Arian's POV
I kiss him back. Right there and then.
Everybody is still the same, even where they sit are still the same spots.
When we broke the kiss, he went over to the couch and gestured me to go side beside him, but before I could do that, a voice I've missed called out to me.
"Mom?" I hear a voice. I look up to see Akemi at the top of the staircase. Her eyes were slightly red, and she rushed down the stairs as soon as we made eye contact. She ran towards me, and I spread my arms out wide for her to crash into.
"Mom!" she hugged me tightly, then whispered, "I'm so sorry for running out."
I patted her hair in a comforting manner, Akemi rarely cries. Something must've triggered it very badly. I peeked over her shoulder and find all the guys staring at us in shock.
"...'mom'...?" detective Kishi even seemed confused.
Eisuke's POV
I was immobile to do anything so I just watched with my eyes wide open. Did she just call Arian 'mom'? I think hoping that she isn't another man's child. Did she adopt a child? Or a kid of a relative?
Several questions cross my mind. Never once that this may be my own child. Akemi backs out from Arian's arms and turned to avoid our eyes. She had a slightly frustrated expression as her eye brows frown in a little.
Arian whispered something in her ear. "But...!" she started, but Arian nodded to her. She speed walked upstairs with a click of her tongue.
After making sure Akemi was out of sight, Arian sighed and turned towards me. I stood up and walked up to her once again, "Arian, that was...?"
"Eisuke," she looked at me with serious eyes. "she's...ours."
"...so that's why you left?" I hear a faint voice behind me. The whole world seems far away, it was just me and Arian's voice ringing through my head.
I'm...a father?
Arian's POV
I became more and more anxious when Eisuke just stood there like a log. As if to ease the silence, Ota commented, "I can see that."
"Yeah, we were just talking about how alike they are yesterday," Baba added.
"She seems like a kid version of Eisuke." Soryu pitched in, as well.
"That's..." Eisuke spoke up, I listen to him attentively, he doesn't finish that sentence as he simply wrapped his arms around me again. "I have a daughter...?" he murmured, though his tone seemed delighted.
I sigh in relief, "I'm so glad, I thought you wouldn't want her."
"Of course I would want my flesh and blood."
Akemi's POV
I went upstairs as I was told. I stuff in my earbuds and played a song.
(The heart wants what it wants-Selena Gomez)
♪There's a million reasons why I should give you up. But the heart wants what it wants.♪
If she knows that the guy's bad for her, why can't she just let it go? I don't get it.
Pausing the song, I pull them out and lay on the suite floor.
Just when I prepared to start thinking, I heard a bang on the suite window and I quickly shot up. I see a boy dangling down on a rope. He held onto the rope tightly, which was clipped around his waist. He looked no more than eighteen himself. He flapped and kicked around, seeming troubled.
I made a face as I walk up to him, I was right in front of the glass and he doesn't even notice my presence. He kept on struggling and spinning in circles. When he was finally facing my way, he spots me. He had a massive look of surprise on his face.
He stared at me for a while, and I stare right back. He had a more found look on his face than the look I showed, which was confusion.
After a few minutes, he came to his senses and mouthed 'help me'. I push open the window, but it was far too small, his head can barely fit in.
"Where're you swinging from?" I ask. He pointed up and said, "rooftop." I nod at him and then took off.
Eisuke's POV
Just when I pulled away from Arian and stepped back from her slightly to look at her face. Akemi came dashing downstairs.
"I'll be right back," she says as she passes us in between us.
Now that I'm aware of it, she really does look like me. We even have the same hair color. And I can see my and Arian's resemblances in her features. She didn't even glance any of us as she ran out.
How typical. I can even imagine myself doing that.
Akemi's POV
I rush past Eisuke and mom out of the penthouse. I found the staircase to the rooftop and went up. There are several spade shapes at the top of the hotel, I found a rope tied to one of them and it led down. I look down, lying beside the edge, I see him there and called out, "you alright?"
He immediately looked up and shouted back, "please help me up!"
How in heaven am I supposed to do that? I'm strong, but I'm not a six-pack muscle man. I can't pull someone up.
Taking in my surroundings, I untie the rope on that spade, pull on it as hard as I can and pulled it around six other spades, to lessen the weight and make it easier to pull him up. Ah, the joy of physics. After the seventh spade, I see his hands pull himself up from the edge.
"Phew!" he sighed as he lies down on the ground, panting.
I remain placid as I turn and head to the staircase, thinking my business is done here.
"Wait!" he noticed me leaving and quickly got up. "Thanks for your help. I would be dry meat if you hadn't seen me." he smiles brightly at me. I stare at him without a word.
"And, uh, hi!" he says, "Call me Ayden. You?"
Why's he so friendly? I tend to tense up at way too friendly people. "Akemi." I say shortly.
"Akemi," he repeated while nodding, "thank you."
"How'd you even end up like that?" I asked since it seemed rude to cut off when he attempted to talk to me.
He scratched his head sheepishly. "Yeah...I uh, was just hanging out here... and.... Anyways, thank you!"
I hummed in response and we headed to the staircases together. We parted ways at the bottom of the stairs, and he went the opposite way of the suites.
"I hope I get to see you again!" he said cheerfully before leaving.
I remember his movements as I walk towards the penthouse lounge. His emerald eyes glittered under the sun light. His fluffy jet-black with hints of dark green waved through the breeze.
The corners of my lips slightly curved up, and it wasn't a smirk.
Ayden's POV
I fell down unintentionally from the roof. I'm just thankful that I tied the rope tight. Now I'm swung down in mid-air. I struggle to climb up, but the glass is too slippery.
When I looked closely into the window, I spot a girl inside, watching me. I couldn't keep my eyes off her. If she screams right now I'll be in major trouble. But all she does is stare back, not even moving a muscle other than blinking. She's beautiful. I then realized. She had hazel gold eyes and blondish brown hair.
But what is she doing in Eisuke Ichinomiya's personal suite? I think. She must be a guest of his. She looks no more than eighteen, though. I'm just 18 myself.
When I came back to my senses, I asked her for help. She nodded and walked away.
"You alright?" I hear her from above. I'm pretty sure a girl like her probably can't pull me up by force. Just when I was worried about that, the rope started going up. She's actually pulling me up. I think and I soon can pull myself up using my arms.
"Akemi." I repeat her name. She's so quiet. Expressionless, collected and calm, but not stiff. The whole time I was smiling at her and she never said more than twenty words.
She's flowed through my mind for the rest of that day.
