Chapter II
Marinette kept her eyes on the road.
The rain had been pouring down hard against her windshield but Marinette made sure to stay focused.
Her blue eyes moved up towards the rearview mirror briefly before moving back to the road. Her hand clutched on to the steering wheel as she did so.
"Mew mew!"
Marinette nearly jumped at the sound. Her blue eyes remained glued to the road.
She needed to buy a litter tray some food and water dishes for the new animal she was bringing home, though she was positive bringing back a hamster would have been so much easier and discreet.
"Mew! Mew!"
The cat only continued to meow, driving Marinette insane whilst she drove to the store.
"You'd better behave in here when I'm gone!" Marinette reprimanded as she parked. "Or I'll give you a kitty time out. No snacks or catnip for you, little guy!"
The cat simply blinked, its eyes oddly glowing in the dark before it sat down and closed its eyes.
The feline began to pur, grooming itself gently, completely ignoring Marinette's astounded glance.
Were cats eyes supposed to glow in the dark?

Missing:
Adrien Agreste
Age: 23
Hair: Blonde
Height: 5'9
Weight: 70kgs
Marinette squinted at the flyer the was pinned at the grocery store register.
The name sounded so familiar, but she couldn't quite put her finger on who this was. Even the photo posted on the flyer looked damned familiar.
"Did you find everything okay?" A female voice emanated, drawing Marinette out of her interlude.
"O-oh..." Marinette sputtered, her blue eyes moving from the flyer straight on to the cashier who had began to check out her items. "Y-Yeah, no problem at all." Marinette murmured, reaching into her pocket to pull out the money Luka had given her earlier in the night.
The cashier paused, her eyes drawing on to the flyer that once had Marinette's undivided attention.
"Its crazy right?" She mused. "They said he's been missing for weeks. His father is going crazy trying to find him. It's almost like he vanished without a trace..."
Marinette perked a brow, quickly glancing back at the flyer once more.
"Who is he?" She asked, furrowing her brow. "He looks familiar, but I can't recall where I've seen him from."
The girl widened her eyes, chuckling as she placed the litter tray inside a bag.
"He's Adrien Agreste... he's world renowned fashion designer's only son, Gabriel Agreste. He's everywhere. He models for his father's brand, you may have seen him on a lot of magazines."
Marinette blinked.
She knew of Gabriel Agreste, but she had no idea he had a son. Perhaps he looked so familiar because she had seen him on the front cover of many magazines. Gabriel Agreste was a household name in Paris, Adrien was bound to be on a billboard somewhere.
"Did anyone see him last?" Marinette asked, grabbing the bag with a grimace. "Did anyone see where he was going before he went missing?"
The girl shook her head, reaching over to take the money Marinette offered her before cashing it out.
"Nope! No one has seen him. There are rumors floating around that say he was seen with a witch."
Marinette furrowed her brow, pausing for a brief moment while the girl retrieved her change.
"A witch?" She asked, cocking her head to the side. "What do you mean?"
The girl simply shrugged, handing Marinette her change with a pouted lip.
"That's the thing. I don't even know. They just described the girl as pale skinned with long dark hair and red eyes. But that's just a rumor."
Marinette chuckled, stuffing the change into her pocket. "Yeah that sounds kind of trippy. I didn't realise there was a witch in Paris kidnapping young famous men."
The girl simply laughed, standing behind the counter with a small smile.
"We say the damndest things, don't we?"
Marinette giggled, taking the last of her bags and nodded off to the girl who took the next customer in line. She pursed her lips, leaving the store. She couldn't help but to wonder if she knew a girl with pale skin, dark hair and reddish eyes.
She sighed as she opened the back passenger door to her car. She paused, a disgusted look on her face as she received the meanest whiff of cat urine.
Inside, the black cat sat awkwardly on the edge of the seat, he groomed himself meticulously as he sat beside a large stain.
Marinette immediately dropped her bags. The cat literally peed all over the back of her car.
"You know what?" Marinette mused, looking at the cat. "We're not friends anymore. This friendship is over." She groaned, running a hand through her hair.
"Stupid cat..." she whimpered under her breath. How was she to clean her car and take the smell out?

Marinette placed the cat on the ground inside her apartment, she watched him as he sniffed at her furniture, looking for a place to relax and hide.
She placed the bags on to her sofa, immediately digging through it to set up the food dishes and litter tray in case the cat had to go again.
The last thing she wanted was for the cat to stain her pretty pink couch with its urine.
Her entire car already smelt like it's bladder.
"I guess I should come up with a name since you're living here." Marinette rasped, pouring the cat chow into the dish she lay out by her computer. "But this doesn't mean we're friends."
The black cat trotted over towards the bowls, smelling the food and water but not taking an interest in it. Instead, the feline sat beside it, glancing up at Marinette who stood up curiously.
"Well, you're completely black and I wouldn't say you're good luck being that I've only had you for a couple hours and you've peed on everything." She sighed. She reached up, scratching her head as the cat stood up and began to brush against her lower legs.
"Do you like the name, Noir? I think it really does suit you." She whispered, leaning down to lightly pet the cat.
Mew! Mew!
Marinette smiled, pausing for a moment to smell her hand.
It smelled like Noir's bladder.
"Ugh! I need a shower." Marinette whined. She stepped over the cat and wandered to her bedroom to find some clothes.
Noir simply trotted over to the doorframe of Marinette's bedroom. The feline had every intention to follow her into the bathroom for her shower but was rudely interrupted when the door slammed in his face.
Marinette turned on the shower, feeling for the warm water before she eventually disrobed and stepped inside.
She knew that no amount of scrubbing will get the smell of cat urine off. It was acidic, the smell was forever etched into her skin. She nearly wanted to cry when she found it soaked into the backseat of her car.
She sighed, wondering how she was going to take care of this cat when it appeared it wasn't even litter trained. Where on earth did Luka find this cat?!
Marinette paused beneath the shower head, her chest feeling tight everytime she thought about Luka.
She made a promise to Luka that she'd take care of Noir and she had every intention to fulfill that promise. She could hear Noir pawing outside the bathroom door, but Marinette ignored it.
She was a little frustrated with the cat, she just hoped that he didn't decide to pee somewhere else.
Noir mewed, his little paws clawing at the door for attention but to no avail.
The feline sat down, his green eyes closing for a brief moment before he could feel words bubbling from his lips.
It was only then that Noir realised that he was no longer a cat, but a boy.
The blonde boy blinked, glancing at his hands briefly before he rested his head against the door. His heart began to do flips in his chest as he wondered why he suddenly changed.
Would Marinette walk out and find him like this? What luck would that be?
He had been passed around to people before but never anyone had this effect on him.
The boy placed his hand on the door, closing his eyes as he listened to the sound of her humming on the other side.
"Its this girl....this is the girl that makes me human..."
This was the girl he knew he loved.
