7: Meeting Yet Another Hottie
The phone began to ring, waking you from your deep slumber. "You've got to be fucking kidding me..." You moaned, reaching over to your nightstand to grab your phone.
You selected answer on the touch screen and held it up to your ear. "Hello?" You asked sleepily.
"Ah! I'm so sorry, did I wake you?" Jungkook's voice rang out over the telephone line.
You glanced at the clock, 11:00 am. "Yeah, but it's fine, if you hadn't called I probably would've slept until 3," you replied with a laugh.
"Oh, ok, again though, I'm sorry..."
"Stop apologizing, it's fine. So what's up? Why'd you call?"
"I was wondering if you were up for ramen at a small shop nearby."
You nodded, even though he couldn't see you. "Yeah, sure, I'd like that. See you there at a quarter past noon?"
"Ok, see you then."
"Yup, bye," and with that you ended the call and crawled out of bed.
You brushed your teeth and washed your face, putting on a plain outfit and very little makeup. You looked in front of the mirror. "Eh, whatever," you shrugged and walked out of your room.
As you made your way to the kitchen, the home phone rang. You sighed loudly and picked it up. "Hello?"
There was no reply, just low growling, like a hungry bear. You raised an eyebrow. "Hello?!" You asked a little more loudly.
Still no reply, just growling. You pulled the phone away from your ear and turned it off. "Ok then..." You grabbed your house keys off the counter and shoved them in your pocket so you wouldn't forget later, grabbing a glass of milk and sitting on the couch to watch one episode of your favourite show.
After the episode was over, you checked the time, 12:13 pm. "Just on time, I am," you said to no one in particular as you stood up from the plush sofa.
You turned off the kitchen lights and walked out of the house, locking it behind you. Jungkook was walking out of his house at the exact same time. You gave a slight wave to him before you walked down the stairs to the ground.
Jungkook greeted you with a wide smile once you met. "Morning sleepyhead," he chuckled and hooked his arm through yours. "I hope you don't mind, but I invited Taehyung too."
You smiled and nodded. "That's perfectly fine, I've wanted to meet him ever since you told me about him," you told him.
"What? Really?!" He asked, a smile on his face too.
You nodded again.
"Wah! I'm so excited for you guys to meet!" He said excitedly and then you were on your way.
The ramen shop wasn't very far away, about a 10 minute walk from your house. Jungkook unhooked his arm from yours and straightened out his shirt before walking inside with you.
Jungkook obviously spotted Taehyung because he smiled and waved, blushing softly when the other smiled and waved back. You couldn't help but smile as well.
You and Jungkook made your way over to the booth that Taehyung sat at. He smiled at you, making you blush ever so slightly, he was really attractive and so was Jungkook. You wondered how on Earth you found yourself with these two good looking men, when you thought you looked like a potato, a mouldy potato.
You and Jungkook sat opposite from Taehyung, with you closest to the wall.
"So who's this Kookie? Your girlfriend?~" He teased, winking.
Jungkook laughed softly and shook his head. "Nah man, this is (Y/N), she's just a close friend, I don't think I could ever be her boyfriend."
For some reason your heart sunk at his words, but you decided to ignore it. You nodded in agreement to what he'd said. "Yeah, we're living right beside each other," you told Taehyung.
Taehyung smiled at you, his mouth forming an almost rectangular shape. "You don't sound like you're from around here," he noted.
You chuckled sheepishly and rubbed the back of your neck, nodding. "Yeah, I'm not... I'm from Thailand, I moved here about a month ago with my parents."
Taehyung nodded, intently listening to you. "Wow, that's quite a ways to travel. Why'd you move here?"
"Dad's business," you said rather bluntly, shrugging.
"I see."
"So you guys are in a band. What kind of music do you play? I've never heard your music," you said, looking more at Taehyung than Jungkook. After what the latter had said, you weren't too compelled to be talking to him.
"We play all different kinds, mostly hip-hop... Or well used to be more hip-hop, we play a little more pop now but we still have rapping in almost all of our songs," Taehyung explained.
You nodded. "That's cool, I'd like to hear you guys play sometime."
"For sure, our music plays on the radio sometimes," Jungkook said.
You just nodded without looking at him.
A waitress came over a little while later to take your orders for drinks. When she realized who was sitting at the table she gasped and pulled her phone from her pocket. "C-can I get a picture?" She asked excitedly, her eyes wide.
The pair of young men looked at each other for a moment, then back at the waitress and both nodded. "Yeah, of course," Jungkook said, shifting in his seat so that she could take a selfie with him, then the same with Taehyung afterwards.
She squealed happily. "Ah! Thank you so much! It's so nice to meet you guys!" She slipped her phone back into her pocket before and grabbed her note pad again. "Alright, now what would you like to drink?"
"Coke," said Taehyung.
"Water," said Jungkook, and you asked for the same. The waitress didn't seem too happy about you sitting at the table with the boys so casually.
She bowed and walked off to get our orders. Taehyung leaned over the table, towards you and cupped his mouth while whispering to you. "Kookie was lying earlier."
You raised an eyebrow, cocking your head to the side. "I'm sorry, what?" you asked, confused as to why Taehyung had said this.
"He was lying, I bet he'd be your boyfriend."
Jungkook was starting to wonder what the hell was going on. "Guys, stop whispering, I'm right here, you can talk to me too." Taehyung just waved him off and continued whispering in my ear.
"Why do you think that?" You asked.
"Because I can tell by the way he look-" Before Taehyung could finish his sentence, Jungkook pushed him back into his seat. Obviously he knew what Taehyung was about to tell you.
"Jungkook! Taehyung-ssi didn't get to finish what he was saying!" You scolded.
"He was being rude and leaving me out of the conversation," he said with a shrug.
The waitress returned with the drinks and took your orders.
"How's the food here?" You asked curiously before taking a sip from your water.
"I don't know, never been here before," Taehyung said and Jungkook nodded in agreement. "But I've heard really good thing about it."
You nodded and shifted your gaze to look out the window while you sipped your water. Taehyung and Jungkook conversed about music and recordings that were coming up at the end of the month.
You watched a rainbow of cars drive by, their chrome paint reflecting light on the beautiful, sunny afternoon.
Before long our food at arrived and Jungkook nudged you, causing you to turn and realize that there was food on the table. Your eyes widened and you smiled. "Wow, it looks and smells so good," you said happily, picking up your chopsticks almost immediately.
The three of you all ate your meals, savouring the taste. The things that Taehyung had heard about the place were most definitely true, the ramen was amazing.
At the end of your lunch Taehyung offered to pay for all your meals.
"No, no, no, it's fine, I can pay for my own!" you said quickly, not wanting to inconvenience him.
"No (Y/N), Taehyung, I've got it covered," he said and before either of you could protest, Jungkook swiped his card in the machine, paying for you and Taehyung.
The two of you just stared in awe. "I invited you both, so I'm paying, my treat," he said with a smile.
"Thanks, but you really didn't have to, I could've paid for it myself," you said.
Jungkook shook his head. "My treat," he repeated. You didn't say anything else and followed the two boys out of the restaurant.
"Ah, it's such a beautiful day," Taehyung said with a smile, putting his hand above his brow to block out the sun while he dug through his jeans pocket. He found what he was looking for, it was evident that he had because of the way his face lit up. He pulled out two pairs of sunglasses, putting one pair over his eyes and surprising you when he put the second pair on you.
"Um... Thanks," you said, rather nervously, you had not been expecting this from him.
Taehyung smiled widely. "No problem!"
"What about me?" Jungkook whined, a slight pout on his lips. Taehyung just shrugged.
"Bring your own next time," Taehyung said and started walking down the sidewalk with you guys. You adjusted the sunglasses on your face since they were a little big.
"You know what?" Jungkook asked as you all walked down a road that passed a body of blue water.
"What?" Taehyung and you asked at the same time, looking at each other with wide eyes after speaking at the same time.
Jungkook laughed softly at your surprise when you spoke at the same time. "Tomorrow's supposed to be sunny too but even warmer, maybe we should go to the beach!"
Taehyung smiled widely and nodded in agreement. "That sounds like a great idea!"
You were already feeling uncomfortable. You were rather insecure about your body and didn't know how you felt about swimming in a skimpy outfit with two guys, one you didn't even know that well.
You stayed quiet and Jungkook placed his hand on your shoulder. "(Y/N)? What do you think? Will you come?"
You looked up at him, your expression blank. "I'll think about it..." You said softly. You thought that maybe you could just stay on the beach in a chair, stun tanning.
Jungkook nodded in understanding. "Alright, take your time," he said with a smile. "For now..." Jungkook trailed off, his eyes scanning your surroundings. "Let's get some ice cream!" he exclaimed, gesturing to an ice cream truck.
You all agreed and sprinted towards it, with you in the back, running as fast as you could to try and keep up with the others.
By the time you caught up, Jungkook was already ordering. "(Y/N), what kind do you want?" He asked you, as you panted heavily, your hands on your knees.
"Vanilla," you breathed out.
He smiled and nodded. "I'm getting the same, I'll pay for yours."
You tried to say no but your mouth wouldn't move as you looked at him. You ended up muttering a quiet, "Fine," after he'd already payed.
"Thanks," you said softly when he handed you the ice cream. Before you could do anything, Jungkook quickly took a big lick off the top. "Ah!" You yelled, surprised by what he'd just done. "What was that for?!"
"That was how much you had to pay me back," he said with a smile. There was still a fair amount left of your ice cream, so you didn't bother to say anything else.
You asked for a spoon and scooped off the parts that Jungkook had licked. You then handed him the spoon, you weren't going to risk getting mono or anything like that when you didn't even actually kiss.
The three of you thanked the man working in the ice cream truck before walking away, heading home. You all ended up staying over at Jungkook's house since your parents weren't home and you had nothing better to do.
"We should play truth or dare," Taehyung suggested, a smirk on his usually gentle face.
You rolled your eyes. "That's such a childish game," you said with a sigh.
Jungkook shrugged. "It could be fun, it can also be a way for you to get to know Taehyung better," he said with a smile.
You sat down on the couch beside Jungkook. "Alright, fine."

So I'm back, this book is no longer on hold cause I've gotten some more ideas for it. But anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and stick around for more.
