Blake

I took a shower and went to lobby to have breakfast with Charles. He hugged me and we ate while talking about business and work. He reminded me to get ready by 6pm, I bid byes and took my Ferrari to explore the city. I went to some tourism places and clicked a few pics to upload in Instagram and Facebook.

I opened fb and posted a few pics. Harry pinged me

Hey man. You're chilling there alone! Why don't you take Evelyn with you?

Harry! I'm here for business meeting not for a holiday trip

I sat on one of the railings of bridge and a few people were painting on their canvas.. I guess its some competition going on here.

Ha liar...!  Go and have some fun with chicks and dolls too, I promise i won't tell Evelyn about this!

Shut up harry! I'm worried about her! :-(

Dude, chill. She's okay I think just awhile ago I called her and she said she's having fun and at the same time tired because of shopping

Hahaha!

I walked to the nearby stalls and saw some cheap stuff placed for selling. I went through them for a good five minutes and found a unique single piece anklet with a cyan color stone and a small seashell hanging to a thin adjustable strap. It's beautiful and I saw its only one piece lying there among various stones of different colors. I bought it for Evelyn and stuffed it in my pocket.. I surfed here and there and had lunch at one of the small restaurant. The food is good, after eating and paying I turned and bumped into someone.

"Can't you see where you're walking?" I heard a female voice and before I can see her face she kneeled in front of me and picked her stuff. I helped her and my hand brushed with hers, she then lifted her head and looked at me. She froze for a minute and I snapped my fingers in front of her face bringing her out of daze, she blinked a few times and suddenly I remembered that its Evelyn's habit too other than fidgeting her fingers, when she's nervous. I smiled unknowingly and stood up followed by the girl.

"I'm sorry" I said giving a smile.

"Yeah.. It's okay...." she said running a hand through her hair.

"Are you okay?" I asked eying her body not in a creepy way if you ask.

"I'm fine" she whispered. I nodded and walked out of the restaurant whistling. I put on my shades and walked to my car, I glanced at my watch and saw its already 2 pm so deciding to take a nap I drove to hotel where we're staying.

I dressed up into a maroon color three piece suit and grabbed my phone to call Evelyn but it went to voice mail. I walked to the glass wall where can we get a view of whole city, I stood there and took a selfie. I send it to her and went to lobby to meet Charles.

We reached the venue in half an hour. I stepped out of the limo followed by my grandfather and soon our eyes were blinded by flashes and reporters asking some random questions to Charles. He didn't answer them and with the help of bodyguards we entered inside.

It looks like Mr knight invited whole city! 

I kept my thoughts to myself and smiled, greeted people introduced by Charles. After an hour or so Mr knight came and took the stage, he announced about the deal and soon called my grandfather to stage. They signed the papers and shook hands smiling at each other. And then we went to our own business I walked to bar and ordered a drink with lite alcohol.

"Hey. What are you doing here?" I heard a female voice from behind and whipped my head to see the same girl who I bumped into.

I raised an eyebrow at her and she came sitting beside me on a stool "I asked you a question!"  She spoke again while I finished my drink.

"I'm Alyce by the way" she extended her hand. I shook it not revealing my annoyance by her presence.

"Blake" I spoke with a smirk and turned away from her.

Before she can spoke anything I left from there in search of Charles. I found him talking with Mr knight, I took steps towards them and heard some rumors from passers-by.

"Mr knights daughter is here too, I heard she looks sexy"

"Yeah.. She's hot. I met her a month ago.. She's modeling right?"

I soon greeted Mr knight and shook hands with him.

"Have you met my daughter?" he asked with a smile.

"No Mr knight" I replied politely.

He excused himself and walked away, I stood there thinking when will be this over so that I can go FaceTime with Evelyn. Knowing my inner feelings Charles patted my back "We can leave soon"  he smiled at me. I nodded and soon Mr knight came back with the same girl i spoke awhile ago.

"Meet my daughter, Alyce Knight" she grinned at me and took my hand again to shake it. I gave a fake smile in front of her father.

"Blake right?" she spoke giving a smile.

"You guys met before?" Charles asked earning a glare from me.

"Yeah awhile ago at bar" she replied and I felt relief as she didn't said
anything about today's incident.

"Come on Blake. Let's dance" before I can reply she dragged me to the dance floor where other couples were dancing too.

She placed her hands on my chest before she took my hands and placed them on her waist. I rolled my eyes and stood there as if she's not effecting me. She moved for the beat making me to follow her steps. I saw Charles and mr knight giving a teasing smile towards us.

What the hell are they smiling at?

"Did anyone stole your heart yet?" she asked staring at me. I snorted at her pickup line and replied "Why do you want to know?" 

"Can't you see I like you enough to date" she answered giving me a smirk.

"Without knowing anything about me?"

"I know that your name is Blake Marquis and also a single heir for R&C company.. Isn't it enough?"

"Don't say that you already have a girlfriend because I know you're still single!"

"What do you mean?" I asked raising a brow at her.

"I googled you mister" she smiled.

"You really made an effort. But I'm not single, I've a girlfriend already" her smile dropped and she frowned at me. "I don't believe you" 

I shook my head smiling at her and dropping my arms from her I walked away from dance floor. She followed me to the bar again "Is it true?"  asked sitting beside me.

"Yeah" I fished out my mobile and saw a few texts from Evelyn. Instantly my mood lighted up, a smile cracked on my face.

Came back home. Sorry, I missed your calls!

Are you there?

I'm tired, just now had dinner with mom!

Why are you not replying to my texts?

Is everything okay? 

Are you ignoring me Blake? 😠

I'll kill you once you're back here!

I'm sleeping, bye. Goodnight!

I smiled at her fifth, sixth text... How can I ignore you cupcake. I thought to call her but again she'd get disturbed.. So I placed a text saying Goodnight.

"What are you smiling at?" Alyce asked in front of me. I forgot she's here with me I rubbed my nape and stared at her.

"Its nothing" I spoke.

"So, who's this girl? You're saying back there" she asked.

I huffed in annoyance knowing that she wouldn't leave me alone today. So unlocking my phone I showed her the picture where I took me and Evelyn at rock climbing. She smiled showing her teeth in the pic and she looked lovely.

"Omg! She's so pretty!" she exclaimed and handed my phone back.

"When did you guys met? Do you love her?" she asked taking her drink.

I sighed heavily and told her that we met at School and not about that we're childhood friends. C'mon I not even told Evelyn still now about our friendship.

Soon Charles came saying that we've to leave. So I bid byes to Mr knight and her daughter, she kissed me on cheek taking me, Charles by surprise and took my Facebook Id, actually she asked by contact number but I distracted her from asking again. I don't want to deal with girls other than Evelyn. I sighed out reaching my room and unlocking it I got inside and locked it again. Changing into my casuals I drifted to sleep.
