Evelyn

After the last class I stuffed the books and pouch in my bag "Straight to home right?"  Julia asked.... "Yeah.. But I'm going with Noah"  Cathy answered.

"I'm going home. Duke must be waiting for me!"

"Do you forgot, he skipped classes and also he left the school after lunch. How will you go?" Catherine said while walking out of the class.

I groaned "Yeah right. No problem, I'll take bus guys"  I said and followed them.. They both went first and I'm walking back while checking messages, I saw new text from Susan asking me to call her once I'm free.

We walked towards the stairs to down, I went to her contact and called her I kept it against my left ear... It went to one ring,  two rings, three rings and it went to voice-mail I was about to cut the call when someone grabbed my right arm and dragged me towards a classroom which is empty and I was pinned to the wall, before I can yell at them my mouth was shut by a pair of lips... I'm shocked would be an understatement and after a second I realized that he's Blake as I inhaled his Cologne. I relaxed in his arms and shut my eyes melting in the kiss.

After what seems like an hour (just kidding)  after few minutes he pulled back and stared at my face. I went crimson and dropped my gaze down, he cleared his throat which brought my attention before he can speak I got a call from Duke... He said he'd be not coming to pick me, I said it's okay and hung up. And saw few messages from Julia and Cathy, they're worried about me, I quickly send them a text saying I'm fine and going home.

"Will you give me a chance to speak or will you keep yourself busy with your mobile?" he asked raising a brow at me. I shook my head and slipped mobile in my pocket.

"So, what now?" I asked running fingers through my hair.

"Come, let's go!" he said taking my wrist and dragged me to parking lot.

I guess he'd be my drive to home today!

"I can take bus, you know... " I said as he took his bike and waiting for me to hop on.

"I want to drop you at home as Duke's not here.. So get on, don't waste time Eve"  I nodded and we drove from school.

"Hmm... Blake. I want to ask you something"

"What is it?" he asked stopping at my home.

"Would you please help me with calculus.. I'm weak in it" I asked directly without playing hide and seek.

"Sure" I smiled "On one condition..."  I gave him a baffled look "You've to report me your every activity... Like where are you going? With whom? What are you doing?" 

"But why?" I asked frowning and with a little anger.

"So that I can know where you're and what are you doing?"

"You don't own me.. I don't agree with this!" I stated and turned around to leave.

"Evelyn....... " before he can say anything I saw my mom's car on driveway.

Why is she early today? 

" Baby, who's this?" She asked as soon as she spotted him.

"He's Blake mom. You know right..... " I trailed to which she nodded knowingly and hugged him"Nice to meet you handsome boy, i heard alot about you from my daughter and son"   she said to which he raised a brow at me.

"She's referring to Duke" I said and he nodded.

"Let's go inside.. Shall we?" and then they went inside leaving me. I followed them and dropped my bag on couch and sat beside it... Blake sat across me and mom beside him.

"So.. How did you two met? I mean my daughter said you're avoiding her like a ghost whenever you guys go outing.... "

" Mom.... " I warned her by giving a look... Blake smiled seeing my expression.

" It's not like that Miss Voltaire, I actually don't get a chance to talk as she's always with Flora and Harry" he stated giving me a hard look.

"What? They're your friends too.. Was is it so hard to even smile at me?"  I asked remembering the amusement park where I greeted him.

"You didn't even acknowledge me then and now you wanted to own my life, isn't it too much Blake?" I yelled at him remembering my heartbreak. He sat there staring at me with no emotions...

"Baby, go and fresh up while I talk with him" Giving a look in his direction I grabbed my bag and went upstairs to my room slamming the door behind me.

I fell on bed and started crying... Thinking what will happen to me if he again leaves me after this deal. I went to take shower and changed into pj's, by the time my anger went off and I opened my laptop to watch something.. Just then door to my room opened and he came inside.

I forgot about him. Didn't he leave already?

"What?" I asked without glancing at him. He came and sat beside me on bed.

"I'll be your math tutor from today" I looked at him and he nodded.

"Then what about the things you asked me awhile ago.... "

" You must report it to me as a part of deal... " I groaned and glared at him.

" Come on. Open your books and I'll clear your doubts "  he said shutting the laptop and opened his notes and pencil.

I sighed and grabbed my books and we went to my study table and sat on two chairs... I asked my doubts and he explained them with alot of patience and also he told me so many shortcuts... I'm glad he agreed to give me tutor.. Mom came with some cookies and then left us alone in my room.

He told me to solve some problems and then he went checking my room and photographs which were hanging to wall. He came and sat with me holding a book... I already read that book, it's a love story. He kept flipping pages and I stopped what I'm doing and stared at him "Take a photo, it'll last longer!"  he spoke suddenly and I realized that now he's staring at me like I'm an idiot. I cleared my throat and continued to solve the problems and soon finished it, before I can let him know that I'm done, he gave a peck on my left cheek I went still and blinked at him profusely "Don't give me that expression otherwise I'll kiss you again this time on lips!"  I blushed and covered my face with notebook.

"I'll be going now" he said getting up and grabbing his bag.

"I'll take you out tomorrow and that too from school..okay?"

"Where?" I asked standing up.

"You'll see. Bye" I followed him downstairs and he talked to mom and drove away.

"What you guys talked when I'm not here?" I asked mom. She shrugged  "Nothing.. Just about his life"  she went to kitchen and continued her work.

"How's your mom?" miss Voltaire asked as soon as Eve went off to her room.

I was surprised hearing her. She actually remembered my mom and me too.. I smiled and replied "She's no more with me.. She died with cancer two years back"  she gasped and placed her hand on mouth... She gave me a sad smile.

"I remembered you as soon as Duke told me your full name, but I haven't told her yet because she didn't remember you now"

"I know that... What happened to her father?" I asked slowly.

"He died in an accident and I can't save him... You know Evelyn cried alot and I wanted to die too but I lived for my daughter. We came here after his death" she said wiping her tears. I placed my hand on hers and squeezed it... "I'm sorry" 

"It's okay. What you guys are upto now.... Do you like her?" she asked changing the topic.

"Yes.. But she's too stubborn to be with me. So I trapped her into a deal and we're doing fine now" I shrugged replying her.. She smiled mischievously and patted my back.

"Please don't make her cry again Blake, promise me?"

"Yea.. I promise!" I said her with an assured smile. And then we talked about Evelyn and my family and I told her about my stepmother and Patrick. I told her that I'll help Evelyn with maths and then went to her room.
