Chapter2

Evelyn

Cathy came at 7.30 sharp. We left my home and reached school. The first class is maths, we went to class sulking because come on who'd like this subject, I just hate it.

"Can we skip this class?" Catherine asked beside me. I shook my head and walked inside the classroom, I stumbled again and was about to fall but someone grabbed my shoulder stopping me. I lifted my head to see green eyes staring at me,the same boy who helped me to find the class yesterday.

"What the hell are you doing, bret?" he yelled at the one who made me fall.

"Can't you see, I'm playing with this new bitch" he replied staring at me.

"Stop bullying her or you'll have to face me" the boy said glaring at him, he went to last row and took his seat. Bret smirked at me, I gave him a look and walked to my chair with cathy behind me. She sat beside me. Soon Miss bethany came and started explaining the procedure to solve problems. I felt bored and tearing a piece of paper from my notes I wrote

Thank you

I asked Cathy to pass it to the green eyed boy, within minute I got another piece of paper saying 'Anytime'

I'm Evelyn, you?

I'm Duke. Nice to meet you

I stopped passing chits because miss Bethany gave some problems to solve, so I tried to do them with the help of cathy.

At lunch time we met Duke at canteen, we ate together and he introduced some of his friends.

"So, you joined yesterday right?" Julia asked beside Duke.

"Yes"

"Why did you come here?"

"I lost my father in an accident and my mom went to depression for awhile but after that she decided to move on and we came here"  Duke gave me a sad look and nodded at me. While julia placed her hand on mine patting. Her boyfriend james had no expression on his face.

"So, what are your plans for evening?" I asked them.

"We're not going anywhere, having basketball practice" James and Duke replied at same time. I nodded at them.

We exchanged numbers and james created a group for us in whatsapp. Finally I made friends in this city, we went to classes from there.

After 3 months

I walked to my locker and retrieved books shoving them into my bag. Locking it I turned around and saw Bret and his gang glaring at me, they circled me leaving no space to escape.

Why they're here? After long time

One day after rescuing me from those dirty people, Duke punched this guy and that lead to further bullying, they took me to an empty room and started slapping me and kicking on my stomach knowing this once again Duke stood in front of me stopping them.

Warning from Duke helped me alot because no one again tried to bully me. I saw Bret and his gang giving looks at me from distance but no one did anything to me and here they're again after me.

I don't think they'll leave me in peace! I'm going to have bruises on my face again.

Bret smirked at me and came forward standing in front of me. "Where's your friend bitch?I don't think he came to school today!"  he said giving a devilish smirk.

Yes! He's right, Duke went to meet his cousin as he met with an accident. Cathy is sick, julia and james went somewhere. No one's here with me.

"Why are you here again?what do you want?" I asked them.

"Well, we came to take revenge on you" one of the guy replied.

"Now, we'll see who's gonna come to help you today!"

My palms started sweating, I took steps back until my back came in  contact with the lockers behind me. Bret gave a punch to my stomach, I dropped to ground crying in agony. They started kicking me on random places and soon I coughed blood, my eyes felt like closing.After sometime I felt numb and closed my eyes, I heard sounds of punching but they're not near me and followed by agonizing screams.

What's happening?

I felt someone lifting me in their arms and running where I don't know. I heard a manly voice calling my name numerous times  but my eyes didn't cooperate and soon I blacked out.

After one month

I took bed rest for two weeks,my mom cried alot seeing me in that condition, I got a fractured leg, bruises on my face and other parts. My mom said that I can't walk for awhile and that I've to use crutches or a wheel chair I chose crutches because I don't want anyone to give me a look 'she broke her legs' . I laughed after listening to her because I didn't tried walking with them, it'll be a new experience. She gave me a serious look but I assured her nothing will happen to me and I'll recover quickly.

When Duke heard about me he almost planned to kill Bret but I stopped him doing that. Cathy took good care of me after that incident, my friends hadn't left me alone for a minute. I'm lucky to have them in my life!

I started  going to school as usual with the help of crutches. I started going out with my friends, we're eating lunch together at our table. Till now I don't know who's the one took me to nurse office on that day. I tried alot to know about them but I hadn't found anything,I should thank them for helping me. I didn't see Bret or anyone from his gang after that day, I asked Julia and cathy they told me that they're suspended for bullying me.
