Evelyn

We gathered together at School entrance the next morning. So as it's volunteering service We collected some old books to give them to children there. Duke brought some basketballs and we stared at James who didn't bring anything with him.

"Mr James, what about you?" Miss Claire asked standing in front of us.

"I'll be in charge of cooking for the whole trip!" he announced putting a toque on his head. We cheered at him and almost all the whole class is present here but I haven't seen Blake's group. Just then they came with big cardboard boxes and stood in front of Miss Claire.

"Good morning miss!" they greeted in unison.

"Well good morning. You guys are late!"

"Sorry, actually we're busy with collecting books and clothes. So......." Harry trailed.

I then saw stella standing beside Blake throwing her arm around his torso "I really want to go volunteer with everyone but I've to go abroad with my father. Sorry"  bitch announced getting some yells from boys.

"I'll miss you baby" she whined at Blake and leaned to kiss his lips but then he stopped her and hugged her saying a goodbye. She then left in her red car.

Thank god! She's not coming with us, I can't bare her innocent girl acts in front of all boys! 

"Miss Claire, is the place we're going close to town?" Flora asked getting our attention.

"No.. It's actually far away from town. In fact it is quite hard to reach, it doesn't even have a hospital or public school" we nodded at her. I saw Mr Marcus also joined us.

"If everyone is here. Get ready to leave" he said clapping.

"Yeah, yeah.... " we heard yells and saw two buses stopped right at School gates. The boys organized the things on top of the bus and others got into bus and sat in our seats. Flora asked if she can join our girls group as their group only consists of boys, we accepted and me, julia, cathy and flora sat together like me and flora took right seats while julia and cathy occupied left to us. After sometime boys came and settled behind our seats, I saw Blake entering with a grin on his face it soon turned to a half smile as soon as he caught me staring at him. I blinked my eyes and moved them away from him.

"Hey I told you I'm going to sit with you!" Rick complained as soon as he got into the bus.

"Come here LaFrance!" Duke called him as James sat with another boy.

He glared at us and went to him.

"Are you guys together eve?" flora asked frowning at me.

"Nothing like that Flora" I answered to which she winked at me.

"So all of them settled? Or is anyone missing?" mr marcus asked.

"No no... " students responded, he walked to the driver and soon we drove from school.

He came and occupied the front seat as ms Claire got into another bus.

" Sir, what will we be doing there?" Catherine asked him.

"Ah.. I'll explain when we reach there at once" he then put on his headphones and dozed off.

Soon we were surrounded by big trees and also the sunlight is not much visible, listening to my Playlist I opened the window and smelled the fresh air. Its so cool here, I sent a quick text to my mom as there'll be no signal once we reach there. 

After a few hours our buses came to halt and we got down picking our bags, I saw an old Bridge and its somewhat damaged I guess that's why buses stopped here.. It looks like it'll broke anytime. We stood there waiting for the villagers.

"We found this place when we went for camping a few years ago, the people here are kind and generous unlike us. They live together like a family and will share with each other, our principal made a decision to help them with what we have. That's when it all started.

The kids are cute and are eager to learn because they have never had an opportunity to learn. They have no schools or books like us, there is an old building that has a potential to become a school. So our intention is to fix and repair this building to make it in a school and teach all the the kids"

Mr marcus told us everything and soon Miss Claire joined us. After sometime we saw a carriage coming towards us, teachers spoke to them and we dumped our luggage and whatsoever we brought in the carriage. We started walking into the woods, as minutes passed by I saw its thick forest and we can lose our way any second and can stuck here forever, I unknowingly grabbed Duke's hand and whispered to him "Will there be ghosts here?" 

"I don't think so Evelyn, even if they're her, they'd run away seeing you girls " he spoke with amusement. I glared at him and pushed him towards Rick.

Stupid!

After an hour or so we saw small huts and wooden cottages. Teachers went inside one of the hut and spoke to them, "The head of the village is not here as we didn't inform him about our arrival. You guys wait here, I'll go search of him!"  he said staring at us.

"Miss claire you can stay here with students, Blake come with me!" they both went towards east.

I frowned and asked Duke "Why did he called him but not any other boy?" 

"Because he's the son of our princy!" my mouth fell and I stared at duke with my wide eyes "Really?" 

"Yes, you don't know this? I thought you'd know all his details as he's your biggest crush.... " I smacked his head, he laughed and joined some boys leaving me with girls.

Really! He's the son of princy, no wonder he studies well and also be quite in class!

" A place without phone signals, how can we call anyone?" Julia said dropping her bag to floor and sat near a tree. We joined her "That means I can't watch my favorite show online...."  cathy said giving us sad smile.

"I'm more than happy because I can escape from taunting from my family! We can have a good time here" Flora spoke placing her left arm around my shoulder. I grinned at her while Julia and cathy sat there drowning in sadness.

"Well students. Good afternoon everyone" we heard a male authoritative voice from behind.

Mr Marcus and another man made their way towards us "Hello"  we greeted him by standing up.

"This place has many things you've never seen before, you just need to have the eyes for it"

"So you guys came with Mr marcus and miss claire right?"

"Yes"

"So, is there anyone who's good in cooking?"

"I can cook.... " Julia raised her hand.

" Really? Since when Julia?" Catherine snorted at her to which she glared at her.

"James can cook well sir" I said raising his hand as he stood beside me.

"Me too sir!" we heard Rick saying behind us. I raised my brow at him to which he showed me his pearl white teeth.

"Okay. Then be ready you three, I'll go put my things away and we can cook together" saying that he went inside one of the hut.

"Students, he's the one and only teacher here. Mr Kevinson" Mr marcus said to which we nodded.

"Don't go anywhere far from the village, its really dangerous. So we can meet at lunch " teachers said and went inside the same hut where Mr kevinson went.

Before we can settle somewhere Mr kevinson came out " The students who can cook, follow me!"

"Julia, you better make it edible otherwise I'll kick your face!" Catherine warned her and the three of them went following him.

We then dispersed from there into groups and sat somewhere under a tree. I grabbed my gronala bar and started to munch, I gave one to flora and Catherine. We then sat there reading novels until we got a call that food is ready.

The food is delicious except for the rice which is cooked by julia, Catherine scolded her to which james protested that his girlfriend cooked well. We sat together and finished eating, I haven't seen Harry or anyone from his group. We stood up to wash our hands just then they came with firewood and some other stuff. I guess the teachers gave them some work to do... They went for eating and we went to arrange the tents to sleep. After that I dozed off for two hours and then Flora woke me up at evening.

"Evelyn, Rick asked about you awhile ago. I sent him away saying you're tired and sleeping" I nodded and stretching my limbs.

"Go and see him now" I nodded and stood up fixing my hair into ponytail.

I went in search of him and found him near the huts "What is it Rick? Why you called  me?" 

"You're going to help me to cook!"

"What? I don't know cooking, you know that already" I said giving a horror face.

"No. You're good at cooking come because I ate the food,  remember at your home " he spoke wiggling his eyebrows.

I stood there not knowing what to do! I gave a smile to him and we went to start dinner.
