Next Morning:

Pritha woke up with a severe headache in her room... She looks here and there but no one was there in the room... She came out of her room and started walking towards the living room when she found Janvi, she was also going to the living room... She stops her...

Pritha: Janvi...

Janvi looks at her... Pritha came near her and said...

Pritha: Janvi did you saw Rao Ji???...

Janvi: no Pritha, I wake up now and I was going towards the living room... By the way what happened yesterday I mean after drinking that thandai I don't remember anything...

Pritha: me too yaar I tried to recall what happened yesterday but I can't... That's why I was searching for Rao Ji but I don't know where is he...

Janvi: may be Dadabhai and Karan are in the living room let's go...

Parth: yeah baang, you guys drink baang and do lots of things in front of our guests... They were laughing at you guys...

Gayatri: Rana Ji please it's ok... It's common to drink baang on Holi...

Parth: it's common for the common people Gayatri but we are not common people... We belongs from a royal family... It's our duty to maintain the honour of our family... And Pritha you, you are the queen of Marwar, it's a huge responsibility... What will people think about you and Marwar...

: When the King of Marwar didn't think about the honour of Marwar then why are you putting the burden of pride and responsibilities on the Queen of Marwar...

Parth turned around and saw Prithvi and Mahira... Parth said...

Parth: what you mean Bhai???...

Prithvi: before that (he turned behind and said) I know you both are hiding behind the pillars so come out...

Parth and Gayatri saw Samar and Karan came outside behind the pillars... They bow down their heads, Prithvi continue...

Prithvi: I am trying to say this from yesterday but you are not listening to me in your anger as always... Pritha and Janvi didn't do anything, it was Karan and Samar who put that bhaang in the thandai... They want to drink that but unfortunately Janvi and Pritha came there and drink the baang... They didn't know that there was baang in the thandai... So it was not their fault...

Parth: what!!!... Why didn't you tell me this earlier???...

Prithvi: so what do you think why I was roaming behind you yesterday... I was trying to tell you this only but you didn't want to hear me... You were thinking that I was trying to protect Pritha and Janvi...

Maharani Savitri stood up and said...

Savitri: what behaviour is this Rao Samar... How can you be so kiddish... Just because of you everyone scold Pritha...

Samar: Rani Dadi Sa you are scolding me... We tried to stop them but they were in a hurry...

Pritha glared him, when Rao Ratan Singh said...

Ratan: did you inform Rani Pritha and Janvi that there was baang in the thandai???...

Samar bow down his head... Rao Ratan Singh said...

Ratan: you didn't inform them then how you are justifying your deeds... Second thing you are the Rao of Marwar, how can you have something intoxicant... The same thing would have happened with you, both you and Karan would behave same like Rani Pritha and Janvi... And instead of saying sorry, you are justifying your deeds...

Abhi: but what about Rana Ji???... He is still trying to figure out who is behind all the attacks on you and what you are hiding...

Prithvi: Dada please have this breakfast...

Abhi: why Chote???... I have my breakfast in the morning... But Vaishu called me and said that Mahira ask you to have your breakfast because you didn't have your breakfast in the morning...

Prithvi: no I will eat lunch only... I don't want to eat breakfast...

Abhi: but why???...

Dev: because Maharani Sa is doing Gangaur fasting and she will eat only lunch in these eighteen days...

Abhi: oh so you also kept fast for her...

Prithvi: she is doing this fast for my wellbeing and I am doing this fast for her, for her well being and to support her... I know I can't do Puja rituals because this Puja is for women but at least I can support her...

They nodded... Prithvi asked...

Prithvi: by the way Dev, you are still spying on me...

Dev(Laugh): I have come to know you a little in these four years, Maharana Sa... I know when it comes to your family, you always think from your heart not from your brain... When you refuse to eat breakfast I just sense the reason behind it...

After that chaos happens in the morning, I went to my room and wear a saree... Today all the women will go to the Gangaur Ghat to take a bath and vow to observe a day long fast... From today onwards the Gangaur fasting will start... This will be my first Gangaur after my marriage so I have to do this for eighteen days but I got company... Yeah this will be Janvi and Pritha's first Gangaur as well... I know they are really angry on Dadabhai and Karan but they will not skip this Gangaur Puja... I wear my saree and went to the Puja room... I saw everyone was present there... They were holding the pot in which we have to plant the seeds of wheat and Jau in the mixture of ash from the Holika Dahan... I picked up my pot and Bhabhi Sa said...

Gayatri: are you ready Mahira???...

Mahira: yeah Bhabhi Sa I am ready...

Gayatri: ok ladies, let's go to the Gangaur Ghat and we will vow to observe a day long fast for 18 days...

All the ladies held the pots on their heads and went to the Gangaur Ghat...

We sat on the Royal Boat which takes us (Royal Ladies) in the middle of the Pichola lake...

Some women were steering the boat... After reaching the middle of the lake we took a dip in the lake and vow to observe a day long fast for 18 days... We wash the pot and change our clothes in the changing room after coming back to the palace... We planted the seed of jau and wheat in it after keeping the ashes of Holika Dahan in it...

First we set up a wooden platform or Chawki to keep the idols of Isar and Gauri...

We keep a Kalash with water in it, after that we keep 5 Pan (Betal Leaves) on it and a coconut on it and worship it as per Puja rituals... The pot is kept in the right direction of the Puja Chawki... The ashes collected from Holika Dahan are made into 16 balls by married women and 8 balls by unmarried girls are kept in the basket and worship along with the idols of Isar and Gauri... Idols are worshipped by Haldi (Turmaric), Kumkum (Vermilion), Mehendi (Heena) and Kajal... We dipped fresh flowers in the milk and offered it to Goddess Gauri along with the Shringar items...  After offering Prasad which is some fruit and Kheer-Puri, Bhabhi Sa starts narrating the Vrat Katha of Gangaur...

Gayatri: Once upon a time, Lord Shiv, along with Goddess Parvati and Narad Muni went out to take a small trip... When they reached a nearby forest, the news of their arrival spread like wild fire... As the women were busy preparing a gorgeous spread for the Gods and Goddess, the women of the low class came with their offerings... Lord Shiv and Goddess Parvati happily ate the food and the Goddess sprinkled the "suhagras" on them...

After a certain time, the women of the high classes came with the food they had prepared... When they had finished eating Lord Shiv asked his wife that with what she was going to bless the women as she had already completely finished the "suhagras" on blessing the women of lower classes... To this, Goddess Parvati replied that she intended to bless these women with her own blood... Saying so, she scratched the tip of her finger and sprinkled the blood on these women...

After the Vrat Katha ends, all the women eat the Prasad and fulfill their vow to eat only one meal in a day... We went outside of the Puja room where I saw Dadabhai and Karan were waiting for Pritha and Janvi, perhaps to beg in front of them to forgive them... I smiled and went from there because I don't want to be a messenger between them... I hope their fights end soon...

I know I am late and it is a boring chapter but I wanted to show Rajasthani culture and traditions... Gangaur is an important festival of Rajasthan and that's why I wanted to show it... Don't worry, this plot of Gangaur will end in the next chapter and then the plot of the honeymoon will start...

I want to say that I will write the next chapter of Obsessed Lover 2 after 3 June because I am going on vacation so don't ask me to update...
