kirishima was out on his hero duty while you stayed home to relax and enjoy this time off while you still had it. it was around 34 weeks into your pregnancy, so you only had two more to go at this point. at the moment you were adding on a cream to prevent stretch marks on your stomach, which wasn't hard it was just like adding lotion but on your belly.

once you finished you put on some music while putting everything away. as the song went on you danced here and there to the lyrics. just vibing till you felt a kick from the baby, "ow bunji" you chuckled and rubbed your belly. "gentle baby, you don't want kick the living hell outta me."

when everything was put back to where they were suppose to be; you walked towards the bathroom, getting ready to put on a mask for the fun of it. you had so much time on your hands, why not spend it with a nice face mask. you walked in the bathroom and turned on the lights. under the sink you grabbed the charcoal mask, beginning to open it. as you opened it you glanced over at the mirror to see the weight you gained during these past months.

"look at me.." you turned to your side to get a glimpse of how big your belly was, "i gained so much weight, can't wait till your out so then i can loose this." with a smile you got the package of the mask open. getting ready to put it on; you ran the sink, and started to wash your face before putting it on. the water felt nice and refreshing against your skin that it made you relax and cool down. though it didn't last long since you felt like the sudden urge to pee.

you quickly stopped the water, then dried your face to feel a liquid run down your leg. you looked down to see trickles of water hit the tile on the floor of the bathroom. there was a small popping sensation and soon as you knew it a few seconds later a large amount of water came running out as if you just wet yourself. "did i just-" you took a moment to collect everything.

your water broke

you didn't feel any contractions yet, but you knew you should at least get ready for it. you walked out the bathroom, forgetting about the face mask and the water on the floor. at this point you could care less, your water broke you didn't want to waste time. you grabbed a bag to put everything you needed when at the hospital. such as clothes not just for you but for the baby as well. you packed diapers and slippers, your birth plan on how you want to give birth and a few other items for just in case.

you zipped up the bag, placing it over by the bed then grabbed your phone to let kirishima know what just happened. you went to your messages and clicked on his contact. the room was silent and only the ringing of your phone was heard.

ring . . .

ring . . .

it took a few seconds till you finally heard him pick up.

"hey!" he answered

"hey baby i-"

"this is kirishima! if i didn't pick up then i'm probably busy at the moment! so just leave me a voicemail!"

beep . . .

he didn't pick up

you knew he was busy doing hero work, but come on just quickly he could pick up and talk on the phone. you let it slide and just decided to text him instead. you texted him saying that your water broke and that you would head over to the hospital to meet him there later. you put your phone in the front pocket of the bag before deciding to change into something comfy.

-time skip to 1 hour later-

you were already changed and off to the hospital. there were small contractions here and there, but you were to focused on driving to complain about it. once you got to the hospital you parked, got out, grabbed your bag and headed inside. when inside the front counter was open, so you took your shot and walked over to the nurse at the counter. you took a few steps towards the counter before bending over slightly from a mild contraction.

"ma'am are you ok?" one of the patients asked as you shook your head. the patient noticed you were pregnant and quickly called over a nurse who gladly helped you over to one of the delivery rooms. the nurse sat you down on the edge of the bed, letting out a question after a question while changing you out of your normal clothes into the hospital ones.

"is the father on his way?" the nurse asked as she laid you back against the bed, "i hope so.." you replied as the nurse was getting ready to put in an IV in your arm. "can you explain what your husband looks like so we can quickly rush him over when spotting him?"

"he has red hair thats all you need to know to be honest." you flinched from the needle going in your arm, seeing the demerol get injected in your arm. "this will make you a little bit sleepy so you don't feel as much pain when having the contractions."

as the nurse spoke about what would happen during the delivery you only had kirishima on your mind, hoping he would make it in time and not miss the birth of his child.

kirishimas pov

"man i'm tired.." i said as i walked down the sidewalk with bakugo. "i swear they always pick us to get some sort of robbery and not some real badass missions." i chuckled as he grabbed my phone. "they keep underestimating the fact i'm the best hero out there.." bakugo exclaimed, "plus i wanna work alone and not with you all the time."

"ouch bakugo that's not very manly of you to say." i smiled while looking on my phone to see a miss call and a few texts from y/n. i read over the texts and immediately stopped walking. bakugo turned to look back at me to see what the problem was, "why did you stop walking?"

there was a moment of silence as my mind went completely blank. "...y/n...is having the baby.." is all i could say before looking over at him.
