authors note: hahaha, did you guys actually think that Mina was gone for good?! nah fam, she's back and here to stay! please, enjoy!!! *also i DO NOT ship them... like at all*

"Well, I guess this is it... Be sure to tell me all about the summer camp, Chi..." Kirishima held my shoulders, staring at the ground, a dark shadow covering his face. "Aww c'mon Kiri! Don't be like that!" I waved my hands wildly and Midoriya nodded his head in agreement. "Miku's right guys! Maybe there's some kinda twist!"

"Don't jinx us guys..." Sato sighed dejectedly, mimicking Kirishima's expression. Sero, scratched the back of his head, his smile a little shaky. "I'm in the same boat anyways. I really just slept for the whole thing and only passed because of Mineta. So until we know how they're grading this thing-" Kirishima's hand dropped from my shoulder, turning to his friend. "Sero, please stop."

"That's the bell, get seated." Aizawa-Sensei burst through the door, the class scrambling to get to our desks. The wrath of Aizawa-Sensei in the morning was not something to be messed with. "Morning. About your final exams..." The class became thick with tension and I watched Kiri's face fall with disappointment. "Sadly, we had some failures. As such... You're all going to the summer training camp!" Our teacher's face lit up with that strange smile of his, clearly proud of himself for tricking our class once again.

Kirishima and Sato jumped up from their seats, fists thrown into the air with shouts of joy. I giggled at Kirishima's face, his expression so intense that it was almost impressive. "Everyone cleared the written tests," Aizawa-Sensei continued, this statement making Kaminari and Sero jump up in joy. The boys began dancing around in the middle of the classroom, making me laugh even harder. "But in the practical... Kirishima, Sato, and Sero all failed." Sero's shoulders slumped, his face turning a bit red with embarrassment. "I knew it... Clearing the practical didn't mean I passed. So embarrassing..."

"As the villains in this test, we teachers came up with assignments perfectly suited to all of you. Ones that would give you chances to devise winning strategies. If we hadn't, none of you would've stood a chance." My eyes widened at his words. "None... None of us would stood a chance?! And just when the fights were so close. Not to mention that were two students per group." I stared at Aizawa-Sensei in horror. "Are... Are we really that far behind the pros?"

Ojiro raised his hand, his head quirked. "So when you said that you were going to crush us..."

"That was to push you." Aizawa-Sensei interrupted to conserve time. "We were talking about training camp after all. More than anyone else, those who failed are in dire need of this. This was another rational deception!"

"A RATIONAL DECEPTION?!" The class chorused back his words while he just smiled in front of the class. I giggled, partially with relief, partially because the boys had started dancing again. Iida mumbled something behind me before jumping out of his seat with his hand raised straight up, stiff as ever. "But...! Now that we've  been lied to twice, aren't worried that our faith in you has shaken been shaken?" Ochako-chan sighed at his comment. "Way to be a wet blanket, Iida."

"Perhaps. But consider the facts. It wasn't entirely a lie. Failure is still failure. You three will receive special supplemental lessons. And to be honest, they'll be far worse than summer school." The three boys froze in place, terror slowly creeping into their faces. "Anyways, I'll be handing out camp manuals. Take one and pass it back."

I flipped through the booklet; there were instructions on what to bring and a synopsis on the training facility. "Ooo, this is getting exciting!" I leaned back in my seat so that I was looking at Iida upside down. "Miku, you shouldn't do that! You could get hurt!" He used his stiff hands to chop the air, making his point all the more convincing. "Fine, fine..." I sat back up, grabbing my bag to get ready to leave.

"This packing list is huge!" Midoriya pointed to the page and I nodded in agreement. "It makes sense though, doesn't it? I mean, we have a whole weeks worth of training to do there!" I stuffed the guide into my bag as other students began to talk about the stuff that they needed. "I actually do need to get some of this stuff too..."

"Oh, I know!" Toru-chan exclaimed, bringing the class's attention on her. "We're off tomorrow and all of our tests are done, so why don't we all go shopping together?!" Ochako-chan and I locked eyes, smiling brightly. "That's a wonderful idea, Toru-chan!" Yao Momo brought her hands together in a cute clap. Soon the class was a buzz with the idea, all talking about when to meet up and where.

"Bakugo! You should come with us!" I grabbed my friend by his shoulders, jumping a little. He watched me for a while before pushing my head down. "Tch, no way."

"Oh, pleaseeee!" I begged, latching onto his arm. Bakugo turned a little red before flicking me on the forehead. "I said no, you little brat! I got other stuff to do tomorrow." He pushed my head again, but this time it was softer, more like a pat. And, for a second, I thought that I saw the tiniest hint of a smile.

"What about you, Todoroki?" I directed my attention red and white boy, who sent me a small grin. "Sorry, I can't either. I visit someone on my days off."

"Aww, alright. I understand." I returned his smile, a little disappointed, but I wasn't going to pressure him into going. "Oi! Short stack!" Bakugo yelled, glaring at me. "Why does Half-and-Half Bastard get special treatment?! Why didn't you bother him?!"

"Because he has a reason, duh. You're just antisocial!" I teased, Bakugo now uncomfortably close to my face. "Wanna say that again?"

"Okay, okay, that's enough you two." Sero pulled Bakugo back with a sigh, Kirishima and Kaminari laughing nearby.

time skip to next day!

I ran into the mall, dodging people left and right. Soon, I saw the group of my friends who were gathered close to the entrance. "Hey guys!" I waved to them, Ochako-chan and Toru-chan noticing me first. "Sorry I'm late!" I bowed quickly, knowing that I probably kept them waiting. "Don't be silly!" Ochako-chan hit me on the head lightly. "Most of us just got here! You're not late at all!"

"Well, that's a relief! Is everyone here-" I stopped talking when I noticed a girl that I had never seen before talking to Kirishima. She had light pink skin and hair to match with a shocking pair of black and yellow eyes. A pair of horns sprouted from her short, curly locks, adding to her whole spacey aesthetic. She was really pretty; no, I take that back. She was gorgeous.

"Who... Who's that?" I tried to keep my surprise under control and, luckily, it worked. "Oh, her?" Ochako-chan saw where I was looking. "She came with Kirishima today! He says that she's an old friend of his. What was her name... Mina! Ashido Mina!"

"I see..." I couldn't really say much else because a painfully tight lump had made its home in my throat. Kirishima noticed me talking with Toru-chan and Ochako-chan, waving for me to come over. "No, no, no, no... I'd really rather not." But my body moved anyways, taking me to where the were against my will. "Chi! This is someone that I've really wanted you to meet for a while now!" Kirishima motioned to Ashido, who had her hand stuck out with a warm smile.

"Nice to meet cha! I'm Ashido Mina!" I took her hand, smiling brightly to suppress my emotions. "Hi! I'm Miku Chiho!" Her grip was strong, but friendly. I liked the way she smiled and she seemed really nice. But I couldn't banish the sickening feeling in my stomach that I got when I was around her. "I'm going to let Mina meet everyone else and then show her around, so we'll catch you later, okay Chi?" Kirishima grabbed Ashido's wrist, running off with a wave, not bothering to wait for my answer.

"S-S-Sure..." I meekly waved back, my heart sinking even lower. "He called her Mina... They're on first name basis. Should I be worried about that? Probably not, right? They're old friends! It's fine..." I turned back to the group, more so listening than talking. "I need to go get a duffel bag for the trip. My old one's all torn up." Kyoka mumbled loudly, talking mostly to herself, but also including anyone who wanted to listen. I jumped on the opportunity, thinking that going shopping with some of my friends might take my mind off the whole Ashido thing.

"You mind if I come with?" I popped up next to her with a hopeful smile. Kyoka grinned immediately, nodding her head. "Of course! How 'bout you, Yao Momo?"

"I'd love to come!" Yao Momo beamed at the two of us and we headed off into the mall. "What are you looking for, Chiho?" Kyoka asked, discarding the use of a suffix unlike most of the girls. I tapped my chin, thinking about what would be best for the trip. "Well, like you, I need something for my stuff that's going to be big enough... I was thinking something along the lines of a backpack though."

"We'll just have to see what they have, yes?" Yao Momo added, all of nodding as we walking into a store that sold outdoor equipment. After about fifteen minutes of searching, Kyoka pulled out a large, dark purple duffel bag. "Oh, this is perfect! I should be able to fit everything in here, right?" All three of us inspected the bag; it was filled with tons of pockets, most complete with a zipper or two. "Yeah, I'd say that this is a great choice!" I agreed as she flipped over the tag to look at the price. "Awesome, it's not gonna break the bank too." Kyoka let out a sigh of relief, making me chuckle a little.

We kept looking around, Yao Momo deciding that she wanted a new bag too. I finally found a backpack that I thought my work; it was large enough for me to fit all my stuff, had plenty of storage spaces, and a spot for me to charge me phone. Although, it was kinda boring looking, just a plain black design, I knew exactly how to fix it. After Yao Momo found herself a bag, we all went to the checkout and paid for our stuff. "Well, what now?" Kyoka checked her phone. "We still have a bunch of time until we're supposed to meet up again."

"Well, I have an idea if you guys are interested..." I spoke up, a little bashful to say it now. "I was just thinking that our bags look kinda plain, so why don't we get some patches and pins to put on them?"

"Sounds like fun!" Kyoka smiled and Yao Momo agreed. "Do you know where to get these kinds of thing, Chiho-chan?" Yao Momo quirked her head as I led the two through the mall. "Yeah! I do this kinda stuff a lot, so the shop that we're going to should have everything." We finally made it into a small, knickknack shop that was filled with nothing but pins, patches, buttons, writing materials, and stationary. "Wow, it's so cute!" Yao Momo immediately was drawn in by the paper flowers that were placed randomly around the store.

"I'm glad that you like it. The people who work here are super nice too." I had already begun to look around and the other girls quickly followed my lead. I picked out a bunch of cute pins and patches, even finding some buttons that I liked. As I was searching, I found a button of All Might's face printed on it. I burst out laughing, showing the other girls the gaudy merch of our teacher. They immediately began laughing when they saw his iconic smile. As I was about to put it back, I realized that Midoriya would probably like it. "Hmm, maybe I'll get it for him..."

I dropped it into the small basket that I was carrying, along with all my other goodies. There were a couple others that I found that reminded me of my friends; the surprised Pikachu meme as a button for Kaminari, a patch that said "Die" in kanji for Bakugo, a frog pin in a yellow raincoat for Tsu-chan, and a large pin that said "Gotta Go Fast" in navy blue letters for Iida. The more I looked around, the more that I found. A patch of a pink bubble blower for Ochako-chan, a soba pin for Todoroki (the cold kind of course), a button that was just filled with water and glitter for Aoyama, and a pin of a milk carton for Toru.

Eventually I had picked out something for the entire class (even Mineta, although begrudgingly) and Ashido because I didn't want her to feel left out. I didn't know her that well, but I thought that the pin of a cute alien would be something that she might like. However, my favorite thing that I found was for Kirishima; it was large patch with the word "MANLY" written in English with a blocky red font.

"Oi, Chiho, are you done yet? You've been looking for a while," Kyoka came to where I was in the store. "Holy shit! That's a lot of stuff! Are you gonna buy that all?!" She almost dropped her bag of purchases while I giggled sheepishly. "Yeah, but most of it's for the class... I found a lot of things that I thought you guys might like, so I wanted to get them for you." Kyoka looked through my basket, pulling out pin that I had planned to get for her; it was a pair of earbuds with the wires spelling out "Fuck You" in cursive English letters. She chuckled to herself, knowing exactly what it said and put it back into the basket. "I love it. So much."

I headed for the check out while laughing at her comment. "You guys can go ahead if you want to look somewhere else. I'll catch up!" Yao Momo checked her phone and nodded. "I actually would like to use the restroom,"

"Same." Kyoka held up her hand to second that statement. "We'll meet you at that cafe near the bookstore. You know which one I'm talking about?" I nodded at Yao Momo's question. "Yeah, I'll go there as soon as I finish here."

"Alright, see ya then." Kyoka held up her hand in farewell before the two girls dashed out of the store.

After check out, I held my two bags, the smaller bag filled with my stuff, the larger one holding the presents that I had gotten for my classmates, and left for the coffee shop. On my way out, someone ran full force into me, knocking both of us onto the ground. "Oh gosh, sorry about that, Chiho-chan!" I opened my eyes to see Ashido looking down at me with concern. "Did she just call me Chiho-chan?" I didn't know how to feel about that, but I sat up anyways with a kind smile. "No worries! I'm perfectly fine."

"Mina, where'd you go?!" A voice, belonging to Kirishima, called out. He came running around the corner, laughing with a huge smile on his face. She waved to him as I dusted myself off and picked up my bags. "Oh, Chi! What're you doing here?" Kirishima stopped laughing to look at me, the smile still there. "I was shopping with Yao Momo and Kyoka for some stuff. They went ahead to the restrooms, though, because I got a lot." I laughed sheepishly, holding up my bag. Both their eyes widened, staring at the bag. "What'd you even get?!" they chorused.

"Hmm... Let's see... A bottle of grape juice, death, and others." I dug through the bag, searching for their presents. "You're kidding, right?" Ashido glanced in the bag, laughing when she saw the contents. "I get it now..."

"What is it?" Kirishima turned to the pink girl and she explained that it was just pins, patches, and buttons. By the time she was done, I had finally found their stuff. "Here! I got one for everybody," I handed Ashido her pin and Kirishima his patch. "Wow, this is adorable!" Ashido held up her pin with a bright grin. "Yeah, these are great! Thanks Chi!" Kirishima gave me his usual toothy smile, making my heart flutter a little.

"Of course! I'm glad that you guys like them!" I noticed that Kyoka had sent me a text; they were heading to the coffee shop now. "I have to go meet up with the girls now, but it was good to see you again Ashido! See ya, Kiri!" I waved to them before walking in the opposite direction.

"Oh wow, I really like yours, Eijiro!" I heard Mina cry out before I had left earshot. The usage of his first name made me die a little inside, but I ignored it and continued walking. At least until I heard the next sentence. "Really? We can trade if you want. If I have yours, then it'll remind me of you!" Kirishima's voice stung my ears, his words hurting me a lot more than they should have. To listen to the rest of the conversation I casually stopped at a store window, staring at whatever was there, not that they were paying me any attention anyways.

"Are you sure, Eijiro?"

"Yeah, of course!"

"Oh, well, okay then! Thanks! I'll think of you every time I see this too."

Kirishima chuckled at her statement. "I'm glad to hear it," A painful ball of hot anger sat in my throat and my eyes began to sting. Before they could see me, I ran off toward the coffee shop, needing to occupy my mind with anything else but them. I had almost made it when I heard an alarm go off. At the sound people began running and screaming, completely drowning out the announcement that actually explained what was happening.

I was swept along into the current and after a while of trying to fight the crowd, I eventually gave into the traffic. I finally made it outside and was able to check my texts; it turns out that there was a villain attack, but everyone was okay. I quickly asked Midoriya if he was okay on our private chat and he told me that he was fine and not to worry. The mall had been shut down, so there was really no need for me to stay; lingering only increased my chances of seeing them again. I'd just have to give everyone their stuff before the camp.

I put my phone in my pocket, the battery completely drained, and walked away; today had not gone like I planned.

Kirishima's Point of View

"Chi! Chi!" I shouted in the crowd of swarming people, Mina's hand clasped tightly in my own. I didn't see her anywhere and I began to panic. I had already found most of our other friends, but she was nowhere to be found. "We're looking for Chiho, right? The cute girl with the pink twin tails?"

"Yeah, that's her!" I yelled back at Mina, trying to make myself heard over the voices of everyone else. I finally noticed the top of Yaoyorozu's ponytail and I bolted toward her, dragging Mina with me. "Yaoyorozu! Yaoyorozu!" She turned at the sound of my voice, Jiro standing next to her. "Kirishima! And Ashido!"

"Have you seen Chi?!" I huffed, sweat staring to drip down the back of my neck. Yaoyorozu shook her head sadly, fiddling with the end of her skirt. "We haven't seen her since we left for the restrooms."

"Fuck..." Jiro gritted her teeth, looking down at her phone. "Don't bother trying to call her either. It just goes straight to voicemail." I let go of Mina, clenching my fists as I held back tears. She rubbed my back, giving me a small smile. "Don't worry, Eijiro... I'm sure she's fine! C'mon, let's keep looking." This time Mina grabbed my wrist and led me through the crowd, but I knew that Chi wasn't here anymore; if she was, I would have found her by now.

I shoved my hand into my pocket, something cold and hard touching my fingers. "The pin..." I pulled it out, my shoulders slumping when I saw the shiny pink surface. Guilt racked my body; I shouldn't have traded her gift. The way her eyes lit up when she saw how much I liked it. I really did love it... Why did I trade it away again?

The pin mocked me a little and suddenly I really didn't want Mina to be holding my wrist. I didn't want to be here. I didn't want to put on a brave face anymore. I wanted my patch back. I wanted to go home. I wanted to be with Chiho.
