Day 8 - Magic and Day 9 - Tattoos
-This takes place in a villain AU, plus soulmates, plus the babies are all like 25, so uhhh fun-
Bakugou tucked himself away into the shadows. One of those stupid heroes was going to find him, and it was all the red haired douchebag's fault. If Red Wrecker had just stayed in place like Deku had told him to, they would be fine. But he had to show off his ego and get himself seen. By one of the most famous pro heroes, Cremator, at that!
About an hour later, Bakugou had managed to get away and went back to their lair, an abandoned bar. "Ground Zero. I see you're back early. Where's Red Wrecker?" the bartender, Eraserhead, asked. "Why should I care?" Bakugou asked back. Eraserhead sighed. "You and Red Wr- Kirishima. You and Kirishima need to get along better. You're soulmates. You know what happens when soulmates argue too much."
Bakugou rolled his eyes and groaned. Of course he knew. He had heard the stupid lessons. After you meet your soulmate, you're emotionally bound to each other, if there's too much negativity it can disrupt your mental state, blah blah blah. Bakugou didn't care if he died from "too much negativity", there was no way he was going to play nice with that conceited trashbag of a man.
As if on cue, Kirishima walked into the bar. "You left me alone again, Ground Zero!" he yelled. "You were taking too long. Plus, you were spotted by Cremator, I wasn't going to stay behind to get taken to prison!" Bakugou yelled back. "Boys, calm down," Uraraka said from behind the counter. Kirishima rolled his eyes. "Chargebolt!" he called. Kaminari poked his head out from the corner. "Babe!" he said excitedly. Kirishima and Kaminari weren't actually dating, more like hooking up every time they saw each other. Kaminari had a soulmate, but she ended up being a hero, and was tragically killed. Bakugou scoffed at the memory. Kirishima put his arm around Kaminari's waist and kissed him before they left for the back room. "Ugh," Bakugou said quietly.
"Jealous of Kaminari, are you, Kacchan?" asked Deku from the dark corner of the room. "Of course not, I told you, I can't stand Red Wrecker. It's just gross that they shove their fake relationship in our faces just because Chargebolt's precious pathetic girlfriend went and got herself killed playing hero," he said. Uraraka winced. "Harsh, even for you," she said. "Tch. Does it look like I care?" Bakugou asked. He looked at the tattoo on his forearm. "Kirishima Eijirou" was in bold letters. They had showed up on the day Bakugou met his soulmate, which also happened to be his sixteenth birthday. After Bakugou had actually met Kirishima, he tried everything to get the ink off. Washing it, rubbing it off with alcohol, even lasers wouldn't get the tattoo to go away. He glared at the ink.
-a week later-
Bakugou regretted saving Kirishima. Now the idiot was all over him and thanking him and buying him flowers and it was disgusting. "What happened to Kaminari?" Bakugou had asked. "He found himself a new partner. Goes by the name Radio Interference," Kirishima has said begrudgingly.
Almost a month later, Bakugou kissed Kirishima. Which he also regretted. He was definitely in love with Kirishima, but didn't know how to express it. "Hey, Kiri," he said softly. "Yeah?" Kirishima asked in return. "This job... is dangerous."
"I know, that's what I signed up for."
"Yeah, I know, I know, I just want to tell you, if I die..."
"Hm?"
"I love you."
Kirishima smiled and took Bakugou's hand. "We're soulmates. Nothing, not even death, can drive us apart."
