Day 1 - Travel

Bakugou couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Kirishima waiting right outside their dorm building, on a motorcycle. "Hey, bro!" he called out. "Why did you call me out here at 8 PM?" Bakugou asked. "I wanted to take you on a ride. Since it's Saturday, I got permission from Aizawa, and it's been a while since we've been off-campus," Kirishima replied, tossing a helmet in Bakugou's direction. Bakugou caught it and looked at it. It had his signature X on it, with the dots and everything. Kirishima pointed to his own helmet. "Mine's matching! Do you like it? Kaminari helped me paint it." Bakugou nodded and strapped the helmet on. "So where are we going anyway?" he asked. Kirishima smiled. "Just get on, you'll find out."

Bakugou hopped on the back of the motorcycle. He reluctantly put his fingers around Kirishima's waist. "What are you being so gentle for? Crimson Wheels gets pretty rowdy, you might want to grab on tight." It took Bakugou a couple of seconds to realize that Crimson Wheels was the name of the bike. "It's whatever," he said. Kirishima shrugged and started riding away from UA's campus. As he increased speed, Bakugou felt the wind in his face. It felt nice. Of course he'd never admit that, but it was. His fingers on Kirishima's hips tightened as he put his head on his shoulder. It was relieving to be vulnerable around someone. He and Kirishima were best bros, and Bakugou liked how he was able to be more calm around him.

After about fifteen minutes, Kirishima parked the bike in seemingly the middle of nowhere. "What are we doing here?" Bakugou asked. "Just resting," Kirishima answered as he sat down on the ground. Bakugou sat next to him. Kirishima looked at his phone, probably checking a text. "Hey, when we get back to school, I think we should spar," he said. "Why?" Bakugou asked in return. "I want to test out Unbreakable on you. You haven't seen me in action with it yet, have you?" Bakugou shook his head no. Kirishima moved his hand over just a few inches. Bakugou looked down at his hand. It was palm up, as if he was waiting for something to be given to him.

A few minutes passed, and it was clear nothing was happening. Kirishima cleared his throat and stood up. "Let's go," he said, putting his helmet back on. Bakugou did likewise and got on Crimson Wheels behind Kirishima. As the two rode across the night sky, Bakugou looked up at the stars. There was another pause in the ride. "What is it now?" Bakugou asked. Kirishima checked his phone again. "Do you know how to steer a motorcycle?" he asked. "Do I... what?" "Know how to drive this."

"Well, no... why?" Bakugou asked. "Oh well, I wanted you to drive Crimson Wheels for a while, but I think this is for the best," Kirishima said, and continued on.

"So now will you tell us where this destination is?"

"Maybe," Kirishima replied, but still not revealing anything. The two soon arrived near an empty beach. "We're here, Bakugou," Kirishima said. Bakugou released his grip on Kirishima's waist and they both got off the bike. Kirishima took off his helmet, and Bakugou got the privilege of seeing him with helmet hair before he smoothed it down. He looked good. He looked very good. Why couldn't they be dating? As if Kirishima read his mind, he smiled at Bakugou and linked their pinkies together.

Kirishima lead them to a blanket on the beach. He sat down and pulled out his phone again. This time he didn't put it away, just sat it on the blanket next to him. Bakugou sat down. "So, this is why I wanted to bring you out. I... I really like you, Bakugou. Like. More than a friend. More than the best of all bros, ever." He averted his eyes, though clearly awaiting a response.

"I... I think I like you, too. I've never really liked anyone before, so I don't really know how it's supposed to feel, but with you I just feel... right. I guess," Bakugou noticed he was being too soft and added on, "But it's whatever. You're still stupid and everything." "So... will you be my boyfriend?" Bakugou nodded and grumbled quietly, "Sure."

Kirishima just smiled. He looked at his phone. "Guys, he said yes!" he said into it. There were cheers and from the cliff above them, fireworks went off. Bakugou looked on in awe. Kirishima hugged him and pulled away for a second to kiss Bakugou. Bakugou smiled into the kiss and closed his eyes gently.

The two of them then had a silent drive back to Heights Alliance, wide smiles on both of their faces.
