A/N: I felt like mixing up the components of "World Of Light" and "Subspace Emissary" because I love the Adventure Modes from both Smash Bros. Ultimate and Smash Bros. Brawl.  

It was nighttime. Everyone was sleeping. While they were sleeping, Kirby, Meta Knight, and Dedede suddenly disappeared. 

When the three of them woke up, they wondered where they were. 

"Poyo...?" Kirby asked. 

"I don't know either..." Meta Knight answered.

"Where are we???" Dedede asked. "And who are dey??" Dedede asked about the other characters from different Nintendo franchises. 

"We are Mario brothers!" Mario said, along with Luigi. "I'm Mario!" "I'm Luigi!" Mario and Luigi said respectively. 

"And I'm princess Peach," Peach said elegantly. 

"I'm princess Daisy!" Daisy greeted livelily. 

"Bowser here!" Bowser answered. 

"I'm Meta Knight," Meta Knight greeted. "This is Kirby, and this is King Dedede."

"Poyo!" Kirby greeted back. 

"What are we all doing here?" Mario asked. 

"No idea..." Meta Knight answered.

"I think we should greet everyone else here," Luigi said. 

"Hello, I'm princess Peach!" Peach was already greeting everyone else. 

"Hi, princess Zelda here," Zelda greeted back. 

"I'm Link," Link greeted, although he doesn't really speak. (But he does have answer choices in the game...)

From there, everyone in the Smash Ultimate characters met and introduced each other, whether they were from Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, etc. 

By the time they all greeted each other, they were all questioning the same thing. 

"What are we all doing here?" Ike asked. 

"Why are we all brought here?" Lucas asked. 

"I hope it's not anything bad," Falco said. 

"I'm missing out on my City Hall work," Isabelle said. "I hope Tom Nook is doing fine on his own..."

Villager with the No. 1 shirt had a question mark expression above his head. 

"I hope the planets are fine with me gone," Olimar said. 

They all continued talking when a black hole appeared in the sky. 

"What is that?" "What is that thing up in the sky?" "That doesn't look safe..." everyone adlibbed at once. 

Before they questioned it even more, the black-hole-like figure exerted light. Vicious rays of light consumed everything and everyone that made contact with it. Some tried to fight it, but they were the first ones that were defeated by the light. Everyone else tried to escape, but they were also consumed by the light. The Warp Star appeared out of nowhere, and Kirby hopped on it to escape. The Warp Star helped Kirby dodge all the incoming rays of light. Just before one ray of light reached him, the Warp Star teleported to a different place. 

Kirby landed on some empty, sandy, and gloomy planet. "Poyo...?" Kirby asked himself as he looked around. It was then Kirby realized that he needed to save everyone. But how...?

Kirby walked around on the lonely deserted planet. He effortlessly found two trophies: one Mario and one Link. Kirby touched both of the bottom plates of the trophies. With light exerting from it, Mario and Link came back alive. 

"Where are we?" Mario asked. 

"I don't know..." Link replied. "This place doesn't look familiar..." 

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby said. 

"Oh! You're Kirby, right?" Mario asked. 

"Poyo!" Kirby answered. 

"You saved us?" Link asked. 

"Poyo!" Kirby answered. 

"We need to go around to find our friends!" Mario said. 

"Yes, let's go!" Link answered. 

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby added.

As they walked around to find more 'trophies' of their friends and acquaintances, the purple blobs, also known as Shadow Bugs, fell from the sky. Mario, Link, and Kirby paused to see what the Shadow Bugs did. As Shadow Bugs emerged together, they formed into evil creatures known as Primids. Mario took his stand with his fist, Link drew his Master Sword, and Kirby held his hammer up. As Primids approached them, Mario punched them, Link sliced them, and Kirby hammered them. Without taking any damage, they got rid of all the Primids around them. However, there were more and more Primids as they advanced more. 

After getting around a hundred Primids, a piece of paper fell out after defeating one Primid. 

"Hm?" Link asked himself as he studied the paper. 

"What's this?" Mario asked. 

"Poyo, poyo," Kirby said. Since Link and Mario did not understand what Kirby was saying, they practically had a conversation between the two only. 

"This could be a part of a map," Link said. "I've been collecting maps from different places in different games. I know a piece of map when I see one."

"All right, I'll trust you," Mario said. 

"Assuming that this is the map of the area we're in..." Link said as he studied the map and looked around. "I believe we are right... here!" Link pointed at the map.  

"How?" Mario asked. 

"Poyo, poyo?" Kirby asked. 

"There are hills in the north, taller mountains in the south, and the deep canyons in the east," Link explained. 

"Wow," Mario said. "Good thing that we have you here."

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby agreed.

Kirby, Mario, and Link continued on their journey while fighting the Primids. Mario fought them off by punching and shooting fireballs, Link fought them off by slashing and throwing boomerangs and bombs, and Kirby fought them off by swinging hammer and jabbing. 

"For someone who can't speak, he sure is strong!" Mario said. 

"Yeah! Good thing he was alive to save us," Link said. 

"Poyo! Poyo! Pai! Pai!" Kirby said as he finished whacking the Primids. 

"He also seems to like destroying enemies," Mario said. 

"I wonder what he's like in his games," Link said. 

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby excitedly suggested to move on forward, but they didn't understand. They only knew that it would be better to follow them because they knew that Kirby knew what they were doing. 

"By the way, do you remember his name?" Mario asked. 

"Didn't the similar figure with a mask who was standing beside an obese penguin say his name was 'Kirby'?" Link asked. 

"Oh, yeah! Now I remember!" Mario said. 

"Kaabi! Kaabi!" Kirby said as he cheered his name. 

"All right, Kirby," Link said. "You've been very helpful in this journey!" 

"Let's just go around and help save more!" Mario said. 

"Poyo! Poyo!" Kirby cheered to agree.

After a bit of adventuring, they finally got to the end of the road, at least on the portion of the map. "Hmm, we only have his much of the map..." Link said. "There is not other information..." 

"How should we find more parts of the map?" Mario asked. 

"Poyo?" Kirby asked. 

"I dunno," Link said. "We must search for more. I got this. Even in my games, I didn't get the full map until I activated the towers." 

"Yup, that's the spirit," Mario said. 

"Was that a pun?" Link asked.

"Huh?" Mario asked. 

"Nevermind," Link said. "Let's keep going."

As soon as they agreed to keep going, Peach and Zelda jumped out of nowhere and started attack Mario and Link respectively. 

"Princess Peach?? What are you doing??" Mario asked as he blocked all her attacks. "It's a me! Mario!" 

"Princess Zelda! It's me! Link!" Link yelped in confusion. "Please stop attacking us!" 

Kirby sensed something as he noticed the purple aura exerting from them. Kirby pulled out his hammer and smacked both of them in the head. 

"KIRBY?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" Mario and Link asked in fury and confusion. 

"Poyo, poyo!!" Kirby tried to explain that they were not real princesses, but there was no way Mario and Link would understand them. Kirby kept attacking False Peach and False Zelda by hammering the vegetable back at False Peach, and turning himself into a stone and crushing False Zelda while blocking her Din's Fire. 

"Stop attacking Princess Peach!" "Stop attacking Princess Zelda!" Mario and Link jumped to stop Kirby. 

"Poyo! Poyo!" Kirby shouted angrily by their stupidity. 

Meanwhile, False Peach and False Zelda decided to finish them off first. False Peach took out her frying pan and slammed Mario in the head, and Zelda gathered her power to smash him off. Mario and Link flew away by their attacks. While False Peach and False Zelda were distracted by Mario and Link, Kirby has already charged his hammer to the max power and hit both False Peach and False Zelda. Due to their prior damages, the False Peach and False Zelda dissolved into Shadow Bugs and as they disappeared, trophies of Peach and Zelda appeared. Kirby touched the bottom of the trophies to help them come back alive. 

"Huh? Where am I...?" Peach asked herself as she came back alive. 

"The last thing I remember the light consuming us," Zelda added.

"Poyo! Poyo!" Kirby said. 

"Hey, there! Did you save us?" Zelda asked. 

"Poyo!" Kirby answered. 

"Aaawwwww!!" Peace squealed as she held him up. "You're so adorable!!" Peach hugged Kirby and rubbed her cheek against it. 

"Thank you for saving us! What's your name?" Zelda asked. 

"Kaabi! Kaabi!" Kirby answered. 

"Well, Kirby, normally Mario saves me in our game, but you've done us a great favor!" Peach said. 

"Yeah, normally Link saves me, but you saved me this time," Zelda said. 

"Here is our thank-you for you!" the princesses said as they kissed Kirby on the cheek. 

"Poyo!" Kirby giggled as Peach kissed his left cheek and Zelda kissed his right cheek. 

"By the way, where are Mario and Link?" Peach asked. 

"Poyo, poyo," Kirby said as he pointed to where Mario and Link flew off. 

"Really? We'd better go find them!" Zelda said. 

"Let's go! Come on, sweetie!" Peach said while he was still in her hands. 

"Calling it 'sweetie' would be a bit demeaning, considering he saved our lives," Zelda said. 

"All right. Come on, my lord! Let's go find our boyfriends!" Peach said. She was talking about her and Zelda's boyfriends. 

"Poyo!" Kirby agreed. 

As they walked in the direction, they found Mario, and Link turned back into trophies once more. Peach touched Mario's bottom part of the trophy, and Zelda touched Link's bottom part of the trophy. 

"Ugh, what's going on?" Mario asked. 

"What just happened?" Link asked. 

"This pink warrior just saved our lives!" Peach said. 

"And now we saved your lives!" Zelda said. 

"What do you mean? He was attacking you!" Link said. 

"Yeah! And you were attacking us!" Mario said. 

Peach and Zelda both facepalmed at the same time. "That wasn't us!" Peach said. 

"You know, you two may be smart, but you two are not so bright," Zelda said. 

"Poyo?" Kirby asked. 

"You sure?" Mario and Link asked. 

"Yes, we're sure!" Peach and Zelda exclaimed. "Now you two go apologize to Kirby for being so mean to him when he was trying so save us!" 

Mario looked at Peach, and Link looked at Zelda. They both glared at them and pointed at Kirby. Mario and Link walked up to Kirby and said, "We're sorry. We didn't know you were trying to help..."

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby was just happy that he got the apology he deserved. 

"Now, can someone summarize what is going on here?" Zelda asked. 

"We're trying to collect everyone so that we can attack someone who caused this madness," Mario replied. 

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get going!" Peach said as she led the way. 

"Is she always this cheerful?" Link asked. 

"Get used to it," Mario said. "You're gonna have to deal with Daisy later." 

"There's nothing wrong with being cheerful. Let's get going," Zelda said as she walked past them. 

As the Primids appeared, Mario and Link got into their protective mode, and got in front of Peach and Zelda. 

"Watch out, Peach!" "Watch out, Zelda!" Mario and Link said as they jumped in front of them to protect them from the Primids. 

"Move out, Mario." "Move out, Link," Peach and Zelda said as they pushed their boyfriends out of the way. "We can handle this," Peach and Zelda said as Peach held up her frying pan and patted it on her other hand, and Zelda activated the spell from her hands. 

As Primids approached them quickly and violently, Peach smashed on in the face with her frying pan, and Zelda pushed the light to the Primid, which burned and pushed the Primid. They continued to attack with their other moves. When Peach did not have enough time she pulled out Toad and it counterattacked Primid's move. Zelda summoned a phantom and had it slash several Primids in half at once. 

"Haa-chaa!" Peach said as she performed Peachbomber, and when she kneed the Primids, they flew away with hearts exploding out. 

When Zelda did not have enough time, she used Farore's Wind to transport her somewhere else. As she landed somewhere else, she pushed the Primids away, causing them damage. When she had even less time, she performed Naryu's Love to protect herself and attack the surrounding Primids simultaneously. While she released Naryu's Love, the Bomb Primids threw the bombs at her, but the bombs bounced off from Naryu's love and reflected the bombs back. 

"Wow, you're good!" Peach said. 

"You're not the only one who can do counterattacks," Zelda said. 

"Wow, our girlfriends are good at fighting," Link said. 

"Why can't they fight on their own in our own games?" Mario asked. 

"I think that's because if they really did that, we would not have our game," Link said. 

"Smart," Mario said. 

"Yeah, well, my games require critical thinking and puzzles," Link said. "So, I'm used to it."

"Poyo?" Kirby asked. 

"So, Kirby, what do you fight for in your games?" Mario asked. 

"Poyo, poyo, poyo poyo poyo!" Kirby replied his explanation. 

"Glad you asked, huh?" Link whispered to Mario. 

Mario sighed. 

"Ooh, what's this?" Zelda and Peach asked as they each picked up a piece of paper after they defeated a Primid. 

"No fair! They get one when I don't??" Mario asked. 

"Kirby didn't get one either," Link said. 

"That doesn't count," Mario said. 

"Poyo?" Kirby asked. 

"So, anyone gonna answer what these are?" Peach asked. 

"Peach, I believe these are the pieces of a map," Zelda said. 

"Really?" Peach asked. 

"Here, let's put it together," Zelda said. 

"This too!" Link said he also joined the map piece he found earlier. 

"So, we need to travel everywhere here?" Zelda asked. 

"Unfortunately, yes," Link said. "But I'm sure it'll be easier later on." 

"Since we will find more people," Mario said. 

"Are those markings of where others are?" Peach asked. 

"What?? We didn't have that before," Link said. 

"Well, let's go and find out!" Zelda said.

Kirby, Mario, Link, Peach, and Zelda all traveled to the markings. There were mid-bosses at the markings where they found more trophies to gather more fighters after they defeated them. Each boss gave hints about the fighters held 'hostage'. 

First, it was Giga Bowser. 

"Take that!!" Mario said as he spammed the fireballs. 

"That's for kidnapping me for years!" Peach said as she used the golf club to whack Giga Bowser.

"Where did she pull out the golf club and the frying pan from...?" Zelda asked. 

"Don't ask me," Link said. 

"Poyo?" Kirby asked. 

After Giga Bowser was defeated, Luigi, Daisy, Yoshi, Wario, Bowser, Bowswer Jr., Rosalina and Luma, and Dr. Mario. 

They joined the forces for the new adventure. 

The next mid-boss was Calamity Ganon. 

"Take that!" Link said as he struck his Master Sword at Calamity Ganon. 

"That's for holding me hostage for years!!" Zelda said as she used various spell attacks on Calamity Ganon. 

"Do you think we were that aggressive earlier?" Mario asked. 

"I think so," Peach giggled lightly. 

"You went fighting without me?? No fair!!" Daisy complained. 

"It wasn't scary?" Luigi asked. 

"Oh, please, it wasn't Luigi's Mansion," Bowser said with his hands behind his back. Normally, he'd be their enemy, but for the sake of the adventure AND for this fanfic, they were allies. 

"That game's fun," Bowser Jr. said. 

"Warioware is fun too!" Wario jumped. 

"Can't deny that," Rosalina said. "That and Super Mario Galaxy." 

"Poyo! Poyo!" Kirby said to Yoshi. 

"Ya-hee! Ya-hee!" Yoshi agreed with Kirby.

After they defeated Calamity Ganon, Shiek, Ganondorf, Young Link, and Toon Link joined the team. 

"It's so weird seeing myself young and in toon form..." Link said. 

"At least I'm not disappointed about my future," Young Link said. 

"Agreed," Toon Link said. 

"Let's get going! We got more fighters to save!" Shiek said. 

"Let's get whoever it was that consumed us alive," Ganondorf said. "Only I should be permitted to do that!" 

"Poyo, poyo!" Kirby said as he led the way. 

"Who made him the leader?" Bowser asked. 

"Oh, he saved me and Link first. If he weren't alive, we wouldn't be alive either. Get over it," Mario said. 

"Is that pip squeak really gonna help us?" Ganondorf asked. 

"Oh, stop complaining. He's the reason why we're all here," Link said. 

"Oh my gooooosh! You're soooooo cuuuuuuuuttteeeee!!" Daisy squealed as she cuddled him. 

"I know! Isn't he adorable?" Zelda asked. 

"I want to pinch him!" Rosalina said, making Luma jealous. 

"Po... yo..." Kirby muffled as he was being squished by Peach, Zelda, Daisy, and Rosalina. He didn't hate it.
