Episode 5: Golf Course You Can!
Dedede still didn't give up on making a golf course. They still have their blue prints. However, because of Kirby's heroic actions, their chainsaw got destroyed, their monsters to make the golf course got destroyed, so they had no chance of building the golf course.
"I want me a golf course!" Dedede threw a tantrum as he threw the blueprints up in the air.
"I thought you gave up on that sire," Escargoon said. "And you should if you didn't. Kirby's too strong to be stopped."
"Now you shut yo' trap!" Dedede said as he hammered his head with his mallet. "I ma get that golf course no matter what!"
"But how, sire?" Escargoon asked. "Even NME couldn't help!"
"Haltmann Works Company is much better!" Dedede said.
"But still Kirby defeats them," Escargoon said. "Haltmann is only stronger by a little bit."
"Well, Haltmann is much cheaper!" Dedede insisted. He had his heart set on Haltmann. After Nightmare was defeated, he didn't have to worry about the debt anymore, but he was still worried about how much debt he was going to be in when he signed the contract with similar group. But thankfully, after signing contract with Haltmann, he only spent about 50,000 D-bills. He went on the throne to talk to Susie.
"Well, your majesty," Susie greeted as she came on the screen. "What disgusting creatures would you like today?"
"Do you sell any chainsaw that can cut down things permanently?!" Dedede screamed.
"Well, you should know, sire," Susie said. "Nothing in this world can be permanent. And if you're trying to cut down woods, nothing can permanently wipe out the forest, especially that famous Whispy woods."
"What?! How do you know?! You've never been here!" Dedede yelled.
"Sire, I've been to university," Susie explained. "I've learned about so much things in this universe, especially Dreamland."
"University?! What's that?!" Dedede asked.
Susie sighed and put her hand over her forehead. "Never mind, that. Anyways, I regret to say that there's no machine we can do to wipe out the forest permanently."
Dedede angrily groaned. "Well, then what you got?! I want me a golf course!"
"Golf course? Well, why didn't you say so?" Susie asked. "Haltmann Works Company offers special robots that can build golf course. This can be done environmental friendly."
"Nah I don' care about environment!" Dedede said.
"Well, we do, sire," Susie said. "Haltmann would like to preserve resources well for our own good. But more importantly, we'll send you over golf course builder so you can play golf whenever you want. But we charge you much more for that than regular robots or monsters."
"Well how much?!" Dedede asked.
"200,000 D-bills sire," Susie said. "And you still owe us 1,000 D-bills to repair Tracker 101 since you said you wanted it again. Unless you want to cancel that deal."
"Cancel that deal and get me golf course builder!" Dedede said.
"Of course, your majesty," Susie said, and she sent the golf course builders to Dedede.
They were size of Waddle Dees, but didn't look like them. Their whole body was bright yellow, black dot eyes, and they were wearing a black helmet with green cross on it. They marched outside the castle, went around the Cappy Town to see which place would be perfect to build a golf course. Everyone wondered what those were as the builders passed by them.
"Are they Waddle Dees?" Mayor asked.
"But they don't look like Waddle Dees to me," Chief Bookem said. "I wonder where they're headed."
Golf course builders headed to the plain where no one in Cappy Town went. They separated into groups and started to build each area of golf course. There were so many of them that they got it done in about thirty minutes.
They all went back, gave the map to Dedede where the golf course is located, and went back through the transporter.
"Wait! You sure you got it well done?!" Dedede asked, but everyone just ignored him and went back through the transporter.
"It seems like they chose an empty field, sire," Susie said through the screen.
"How come they ain't responding to me?" Dedede asked.
"Well, only the creator can communicate, in this case would be me and president Haltmann. Enjoy your golf course sire. And one more thi-" Dedede cut her off. "He always cuts me off and misses the important part. I ordered them to put a sensor in the pond and sandpit and when it senses Kirby, the robots will merge out of the pond and the sandpit. I hope I get a chance to tell him. Oh, well, he'll figure it out."
"Yo Escargoon! Drive me to the golf course!"
Escargoon drove him to the golf course as he peeked over at the map. When they got their, both of their jaws dropped by the perfection of how golf course looked like. "Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh! Looks like those li'l pip squeaks did a good job on that! Well, let's strike that ball!" Dedede took out his golf clubs and golf balls and started to play some golfs.
Mayor Len and Chief Bookem, who thought the march was suspicious, went to see what the little Waddle Dee looking things did. But they were amazed by how golf course looked like.
"Hey, you two! Mayor and chief!" Dedede called. "Why don't you join me for golf game?!"
"Us?" They both ask as they pointed at themselves.
"Yeah, you two!" Dedede said. "It's not fun when it's just me and Escargoon playing!"
"What do you think? Should we play golf with him?" Mayor asked Chief Bookem.
"I don't see why not. It's first time he offered to spend time with us!" Chief Bookem replied.
Dedede lent his golf club to the Mayor and Chief Bookem, and restarted the game.
"Hah! It's a par!" Dedede exclaimed.
"Oh, I got birdie!" Escargoon excitedly said.
"It's an eagle!" Mayor said.
"Albatross! I win!" Chief Bookem cheered.
The game continued for a while now. They were having so much fun that they didn't realize that it was already sunset. Back at home, there were a lot of townsfolk worried.
"Where could he be?" Hana asked as she waited.
"I wonder where he went," Buttercup waited outside.
"Hey Waddle Dees, where's the King?" Waddle Doo asked the Waddle Dees. They all shrugged or shook their heads.
They all decided to go back when it was dinner time.
"Honey! Where were you all day?" Hana asked as Mayor came back.
"Golf course? What do you mean?" Buttercup asked after Bookem replied.
"It looked like King Dedede built a new one," Mayor Len replied Hana.
"So I hit the ball few times," Bookem replied Buttecup.
No one asked King Dedede where he was for the whole afternoon. They didn't even start cooking him his dinner until he asked for it. "Yo, you lazy good for nuthin'!" King Dedede yelled. "Step on it! I'm hungry after all the golf game I had in the afternoon!"
The Waddle Dees brought some tea and steak for his dinner. Dedede took a bite out of the steak. "It sure tastes better after the exercise! Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh!"
By next day, the whole town knew about the golf course. Much more cappies were there, bringing their own golf clubs and played all day. Since they were all at golf course, the whole town was almost empty. Kirby, Tiff, Tuff, Iroo, Honey, and Spikehead were all taking a walk around Cappy Town. Only people who were there were Kawasaki, Mabel, Tuggle, Gengu, and several housewives.
"Kawasaki, do you know where everyone is?" Tiff asked as she sat down in his restaurant.
"I heard they're at the new golf course!" Kawasaki answered as he served some leftover dumplings to them. "They all left after hearing about that and didn't come back after..."
"Golf course?" Tiff wondered. "There's a new golf course? I have a bad feeling about this..."
"Well, then how come you're not there, Kawasaki?" Tuff asked.
"I'm not interested in golf," Kawasaki answered. "I prefer cooking!"
"Anyways, I gotta go see that golf course," Tiff said as she stood up. "I have a bad feeling about this. We'll eat the- oh Kirby finished it already."
"Poyo!" Kirby said.
Tiff, Tuff, Kirby, Iroo, Honey, and Spikehead went to the golf course that Kawasaki told them about. Tiff couldn't believe her eyes as she looked at the large plain transformed into a golf course. She couldn't imagine how many trees were cut down to make this. She became furious and said, "How can you all do this?!" Everyone turned to her. "Can't you imagine how much trees were cut down to make this place? This is completely a waste of the resource!"
"You're mistaken, girly!" Dedede said. "This place had no trees! We're being economically friendly here!"
"Yeah Tiff," the Mayor said. "This place is good to spend time on."
"Well, you should play enough, barely anyone is working in town!" Tiff said.
"Well, at least there's no other mischief going on," Chief Bookem said.
"You worrying too much, my dear," Sir Ebrum said.
"Dad? What are you doing here?" Tiff asked.
"I thought it would be nice to play golf since I didn't play it for such a long time," Sir Ebrum replied.
"Don't you have work to do?" Tiff asked.
"It wouldn't hurt to take a day off for one week," Sir Ebrum said.
"A WEEK?" Tiff couldn't believe it.
"Scram, girly, you're driving away the customers," Escargoon said.
"Customers? You get paid for this?" Tiff asked.
"500 D-bills for each entrance," Escargoon said. "We need to make profit, you know?"
Tiff was too angry to speak. She stormed off without replying to anything else. Because of the golf course, no one is doing any work, everyone's coming home late, and nothing is going to be achieved in Cappy Town at this rate besides the King making money to torment Kirby even more.
"I don't believe it!" Tiff said to herself as she walked to the castle. "Why would people waste their time like that? That land could be used for something else important such as growing food. That much land isn't necessary!"
"Poyo," Kirby said as he followed her.
"Oh, Kirby, I don't know what I'm more angry about," Tiff said to him as they walked together. "The fact that they're wasting their time, or the fact that they're taking up so much land that could be used for something else."
"Poyo..." Kirby seemed to understand how Tiff was feeling right now.
"We're home, mom," Tiff said as she opened the door to her home. There was no response. "Mom?" Tiff asked again. Then she noticed a note on the table.
Tiff and Tuff, there's a meeting for housewives for an important issue. There's some leftover pot roast in the fridge so you can eat that.
"Well at least we have something to eat," Tiff said.
"Poyo!" Kirby excitedly said.
"And Kirby, I can't help it buy I have a strange feeling about the golf course," Tiff said as she heated the pot roast.
"Poyo?" Kirby asked.
"Why don't we do a little investigation in the night? No one really goes to the golf course at night," Tiff suggested.
"Poyo!" Kirby excitedly said.
Later than night, while everyone was asleep in Cappy Town, Tiff and Kirby sneaked out of the castle to investigate the golf course. She turned on her flashlight and looked all around it. Together, they walked towards the sandpit to investigate even more. All of the sudden, something emerged from the sandpit. Tiff yelped by the sudden movement. The robot emerged from the sandpit. It looked like a giant cappy, but just sand. "Ah!" Tiff exclaimed as she saw something emerge from the pond. The water robot looked like a piranha. The sand robot and water robot both started to attack Kirby. They both made a whole mess everywhere in the golf course. Sand robot tried to hammer Kirby, and water robot fired the water stream to Kirby.
"Kirby, suck up the water robot's attack!" Tiff said.
"Poyo!" He took the advice and inhaled the water stream. He then turned into water Kirby.
"Kabu! Send the Warp Star!" Tiff called.
"Warp Star!" Kabu replied and sent the Warp Star to Kirby.
Kirby hopped on the Warp Star as soon as he arrived. He went around the sand robot and shot water at it like a fire hose. The sand of the robot started to crumble like a sand castle being destroyed by the waves of the ocean, making a huge sand mess around the golf course.
Kirby wondered how to defeat the water robot. The water robot tried to strike Kirby with its water force, but then Kirby blocked it with his own. By now, golf course was drenched with so much water, almost flooded. Done with shooting water at Kirby, the robot decided to swallow him while Kirby was caught off-guard. "KIRBY! OH NO!" But Kirby was fine inside the robot. Kirby shot water inside the robot. The water started to make the some part of the inside rusty, and some parts started to spark. Outside, Tiff was able to see the robot writing in pain, and eventually, became unable to function. Kirby escaped the broken robot through the mouth.
"Poyo!" Kirby said as he went out.
"Nice job, Kirby!" Tiff said. Then she looked around the golf course. "Well, I'm sure no one can use the golf course now."
"Poy," Kirby replied.

The next day, everyone was at the golf course, but very disappointed. But someone who was the most disappointed was Dedede
"We can't play golf here!" Chief Bookem said.
"I'll just go home and finish some paper works," Mayor said.
"I'll just reopen my bar for the day," Samo said.
They all left to do their own things.
Dedede angrily rushed back to the castle to talk to Susie. "YO! SUSIE! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?!"
"What can I do for you, your majesty?" Susie asked.
"There is sand and water mess in the golf course!" Dedede ranted.
"Looks like Kirby went near the sandpit or the pond," Susie snickered.
"Whachu talkin' 'bout?" Dedede asked.
"I hid robots in there so that it can attack Kirby when he goes near," Susie explained. "I was going to tell you, but you cut me off. I was trying to contact you, but you were never there since you were too busy playing golf."
"Your majesty," Escargoon whispered into Dedede's ear. "I know she can be very wordy, but you should listen to her before you cut her off."
"Well, fine!" Dedede said. "I give up on golf course! Get me that blueprint!"
Waddle Dee brought a blueprint to Dedede. He ripped that into pieces.
"Ah! Sire! Are you sure about this?" Escargoon said.
"I give up!" Dedede ranted. "I'll find me another hobby!"
Tiff and Kirby were spying on him behind the poles in his room. "Looks like Dedede won't make this kind of mistake again."
"Paya-i!" Kirby said happily.
