Day 1

"Oh wow, this- this took way longer than I thought it would." You wheezed, stopping to catch your breath.

You looked up, the castle looming in front of you.

At least I'm finally here..

You were just about to head towards the gates when a roar shook the ground, knocking you over.

"Wha-?" You jumped as a rather large winged bird crashed out of the castle.

What the heck. What the heck. What the HECK?!

You immediately turned tail and bolted, your breath fogging up your mask as you ducked under a tree.

The bird thing let out another roar and you noticed something smaller next to it.

Is that....

You squinted, taking in the small pink figure on the star.

One of our kind! I thought they were wiped out!

You watched him swoop around the bird, dodging its attacks.

Oh but he'll get hurt! Oh no, what do I-

Your eyes widened as you watched the small pink sphere casually inhale the bird's fire, and then immediately burn it to a crisp.

You let out a choked cough, hiding behind the tree.

DID THAT MAN JUST TOAST THE BIRD????

Day 2

You were able to find a small village tl stay the night, though the villagers kept whispering about you.

"The mask, it looks like the one Sir Meta Knight wears!"

You quickly turned to the villager who had spoken that, startling the two.

"Sir Meta knight? Who's that?" You questioned, stepping closer.

"Why, he's the King's head knight!" One answered, looking to the other for confirmation.

"That's right! He lives at the castle where he serves Dedede." The other spoke with a nod.

"I see... do you by any chance know of someone named... Metallo?" You hesitated.

"I'm not familiar with the name... I do apologize." The Cappy replied, noticing your dejected gaze.

"But!" He quickly added.

"Maybe Sir Meta Knight can help you, as I said before he lives up in the castle. Maybe you could ask him."

You turned your attention to the castle, your eyes unconsciously glinting a soft green.

Meta Knight huh...

Day 3

"LET ME THROUGH YOU ADORABLE LOOKING GAURDS!"

You glared at the small creatures who gaurded the entrance. They shook their heads, blocking you once again.

"I need to go inside! I need to talk to the knight known as 'Sir Meta Knight'!" You tried again.

Still, they simply shook their heads.

"Please...."

Another head shake.

"Fine then!" You turned, quickly walking back down the hill.

Who needs a door anyways.

Day 4

"Hehehehe, those adorable gaurds won't see me coming." You whispered to yourself, adjusting your back pack.

In hindsight, this probably wasn't the best idea. Sneaking into a castle is probably not the best way to go about this.

But in your defense you had no choice!

You quietly slipped past the gaurds, ducking into some nearby bushes.

"Hehehehe, just a few more gaurds and I'll be home fre-"

"Poyo!"

"BUXEVVVOUEDBUP" You quickly bit your tounge in an effort to stay quiet.

Slowly turning around you prepared yourself for the worst.

There stood the same pink puffball that you had witnessed single handedly disintegrate the bird.

"Poyo?" It asked quizzically, tilting it's head.

"Shhhh!" You shushed him, pulling him into the bushes.

Understanding the memo, the puffball stayed quiet, still giving you a confused look.

"Please don't tell anyone! Or set me on fire! I mean no harm." You whisper-shouted at him quietly.

"Poyo?" He replied.

"I'm looking for Sir Meta Knight, maybe you know where-" you froze as you heard a female voice call out.

"Kirby!" It shouted, gaining a reaction from the pink puffball.

"Poyo!" The pink- no, Kirby shouted excitedly.

"No wait!" You tried to reach out to catch him, but he had already slipped out of your grasp.

To your horror, you watched him run to the Cappy girl and began to drag her towards you.

NO!

Panicking, you turned to the door, noticing a gap between the gaurds.

If I hurry I might make it...if not....

You glanced at the spears, shuddering.

"What is it Kirby?" The voice asked again, sounding much closer.

Now or never!

Just as the bush began to move, you burst out, bolting towards the door.

"HEY WAIT!" the girl shouted from behind.

The gaurds turned around in surprise, but were sent spinning as you ran by.

OH FRICK OH FRICK OH FRICK.

You slid around the corner, hearing the footsteps following you.

"Wait! Who are you!"

Hiding place hiding place hiding place!

You looked around wildly before finding an unlocked door.

Quickly you darted over to it, quickly closing amd locking it.

You stayed quiet, trying to catch your breath as the footsteps passed you.

"Thank goodne-" You let out a yelp as you turned around, flinching from the sword that was pointed at you.

"Who are you?" A spanish accented voice  questioned, pushing the sword closer to you.

"I-I mean no harm! I'm looking for a knight, his mame was uh, Meta Knight! Sir Meta Knight!" You answered quickly, your breathing heavy from the run and the fear.

The masked creature paused, keeping the sword facing you.

"That would be I. What business do you have with me?"

Hope flooded your body.

It's him! Maybe he knows my brother.

"I'm looking for someone, my brother actually... I thought he had been killed but, I have reason to believe he's still alive and somewhere in this castle." You replied, determination glinting in your eyes.

"And who might he be?" Meta Knight replied, keeping his sword pointed at you but relaxing his grip.

"His name was... Metallo." You paused, noticing the knight tense up.

"You do know him don't you! Is he ok? What happened? I-" You were cut off by the sword shoving you back down.

"Where did you hear that name?" Meta Knight snarled, his eyes glowing red.

You panicked, cringing against the door.

"T-thats my brothers name." You whimpered, flinching.

"You're lying!" He snapped, pressing the sword harder against you.

"No I'm not! My name is Y/N and I'm the sister of Metallo! Please, I need to know if he's ok!" You cried, desperately staring at him.

Meta Knight took a deep breath, his eyes turning back to their normal color. He sighed, dropping his sword.

"Are you...sure?" He questioned again, a hint of hope in his voice.

"I am." You replied hesitantly.

Carefully, Meta Knight reached towards his mask, pausing slightly before taking it off.

He gave you a hopeful smile, stepping closer.

"Y/N? It's really you? I thought you had died.."

"Metallo..." You whispered quietly, stepping closer.

"Big brother!" You cried cheerfully, tackling him into a hug.

He laughed cheefully, hugging you back.

"It's good to see you again my dear sister."

"I thought you were dead!" You sniffed, pulling back slightly.

"But then I had a dream! And I remembered your dream of being a warrior, so I came looking for you."

Meta Knight smiled softly, before tapping your mask.

"Might I ask what this is for? Are you a knight as well Y/N?" He questioned, staring at it.

Your eyes flickered to blue as you looked down.

"I...got sick... Rose told me that without the mask I'll die faster.. That's why I wanted to find you..before I.." You trailed off, looking down at the ground.

Meta Knight stayed silent, before gently lifting your gaze back to him.

To your surprise, his eyes were filled with sorrow and regret.

"I'm sorry, my sister. Had I known you were alive I would have searched for you.." Meta Knight looked down, shameful and filled ejth regret.

"It's ok, had I known you were so close I would have come sooner.." You smiled again, despite knowing he probably couldn't see it.

Meta Knight suddenly reached for his mask again, slipping it back on and raising his sword.

"I made a promise to you as a child, to protect you for the rest of my life. I had thought I had failed but now that you are still alive," he paused, turning to look at you with that same determination that glinted in his eyes all those years ago.

"Now, I swear to fulfill that promise and stay by your side, my dear sister."

You chuckled softly, stepping towards him.

"Ans I swear to stay by your side as well big brother, right after I tell Rose what happened."

"Rose? Who is that?" He asked, lowering his sword.

You laughed, already picturing the fury that awaited you.

"Oh brother, we have so much to tell each other."

Year 200
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Meta Knight stood alone among the rain, a single blue rose in his hand.

He gently set the rose down on the dirt, his eyes brimming with tears.

He gently ran his glove across the stone, tracing the words carved into it.

Smiling sadly as the tears slipped down his mask, he stood up.

"Farewell, my dear sister Y/N."
